Subjective happiness affected by self-oriented perfectionism should decrease undergraduates' motivation toward job-hunting and prevent them from looking for a job. From the perspective of the self-oriented perfectionism mediation model (Takahashi, 2005), the present study investigated the effects of the female university students' self-oriented perfectionism on subjective happiness during their job-hunting process, motivation toward job-hunting, and other activities. Results of a questionnaire showed their concern over their own mistakes might have had the direct effect and the indirect effect mediated by self-preoccupation tendency on her subjective happiness, which are consistent with the self-oriented perfectionism mediation model. On the other hand, there was the effect inconsistent with the model. Subjective happiness had no effects on job-hunting activities. The direct effect of self-oriented perfectionism on motivation toward job-hunting was investigated.
