This paper describes the outline of ‘Living Architecture Museum Project’ by Osaka City. This project is aimed at generating and informing the urban attraction by regeneration and use of architecture in the city. It consists of 3 projects starting from 2013 for 3 years. (1) Selection: Osaka City selects 50 buildings as ‘Osaka Selection’ according to the own concept ‘Living Architecture’. (2) Regeneration: It subsidizes the restoration of the selection. (3) Promotion of Use: The Open House event which has been held in Europe is held in Osaka, and 55 buildings were opened and 77 programs were given in 2014.

This study aims to clarify architectural works of Chuta Ito (1867-1954) known as the first Japanese architectural historian and critic. This paper treats his works in the end of the Meiji era. As the result below mentioned 3 points become clear. 1) Definite shapes of 2 uncomfirmed works and detailed processes of forming 3 works. 2) After he returned from his travel to Asia and Europe(1902-05), he started to design introducing various Asian styles. 3) It was the method of its designing to arrange a compromise between historical architecture forms and design of details chosen in historical context.

The aim of this study is to clarifying the design works of Chuta Ito (1867〜1954), who have had a great influence on modern Japanese architectural history, through the historical material drawings that were newly found. In previous studies, the 11 projects in the Meiji Era were referred. And the method of Ito's design works was analyzed. In this paper, designs of the 34 projects in the Taisho and Showa Era and their planning processes were shown.

The "Rasen-Tou (Spiral Tower)" is an unbuilt project, published in "Kenchiku Zasshi" by the Architectural Institute of Japan ("Kenchiku Gakkai") in 1902. The Tower was proposed by Kontarou Abe, was an associate member ("Tun-In") of this institute. We present an outline of the planning method of "Rasen-Tou (Spiral Tower)" and the career of Kontarou Abe, the proposer. The "Rasen-Tou", despite its unusual form, was planned in conformance with the principles of "Kiku-Jutsu", a traditional Japanese method of stereotomy based on wooden construction.

深澤直人の名を知らない人でも、彼のデザインしたプロダクトは見覚えがあるに違いない。例えば、KDDI/auの「インフォバー」(2003年)。タイルのようなボタンが特徴的なバータイプの携帯電話は、二つ折りタイプ一辺倒だった携帯電話の潮流に一石を投じた。3年たった今も愛好者は多い。最近では「neon」という新機種も発表され、話題になっている。

外観の第一印象は「CGと同じ」だ。透明なボックスを白いスロープが囲む。ガラスも壁も平滑で、モノとしての重さが感じられない。窓枠や取っ手が表面に表れていないので、スケールも機能もよくわからない。ヒントは奥に誘うような回廊だけ。グエナエル・ニコラのスタジオ兼住宅「C1(CURIOSITY ONE)」。ニコラが基本デザインを行い、2005年11月に完成した。
