本研究では, 改訂版対人場面におけるあいまいさへの非寛容尺度(Revised Interpersonal Intolerance of Ambiguity Scale; IIAS-R)を作成し, その信頼性および妥当性の検討を行った.研究1では, 自由記述調査の結果をもとに項目を作成し, 確認的因子分析により初対面の関係におけるあいまいさへの非寛容, 半見知りの関係におけるあいまいさへの非寛容, 友人関係におけるあいまいさへの非寛容の3つの下位尺度を構成した.また, 得点分布や記述統計量の確認を行った.そして, 内的整合性を検討し, ほぼ十分な信頼性(α=.65∿.77)を得ることができた.研究2では, IIAS-Rの各下位尺度と対人不安尺度, 独断主義尺度との相関を検討し, ある程度の構成概念妥当性(r=.22∿.52)を確認することができた.研究3では, IIAS-Rの3ヶ月間の再検査信頼性を検討し, ほぼ十分な安定性(r=.66∿.73)を確認することができた.以上より, IIAS-Rは信頼性および妥当性を兼ね備えた尺度であることが示唆された.

This study examined whether interpersonal intolerance of ambiguity (IIA) has effects on mental health mediating dispositional interpersonal stress-coping based on an interpersonal stress model. Three hundred and nine university students participated in the study. They were asked to complete a Revised Interpersonal Intolerance of Ambiguity Scale (IIAS-R), a Stress Response Scale (SRS), and a dispositional Interpersonal Stress coping Inventory (ISI). Covariance structural analysis showed that IIA had a positive effect on stress response mediating dispositional negative relationship-oriented coping, and had a direct positive effect on stress response, respectively. But no significant mediation effect of dispositional postponed-solution coping was obtained. These results suggested that a combination of IIA and a specific maladaptive coping style had a negative effect on mental health.

The aims of this study were to see whether the most frequently experienced food craving of Japanese males was for rice, and to investigate the relationship between mood and food cravings, especially for rice. Undergraduate students completed a questionnaire of several measures, including gauging food craving frequency, the Japanese version of DEBQ, and the Japanese version of POMS. The highest item on the mean scores of craving frequency was rice, for both males and females. For both males and females, correlation analysis showed no significant correlation between mood and craving frequency for rice. For females, there was significantly positive correlation between negative mood and craving frequency for foods other than rice. However, for males, there was significantly positive correlation between positive mood and craving frequency for foods other than rice. These findings suggested the possibility that rice craving may be characteristic of Japanese people and indicated food cravings are associated with mood, though in different ways for females and males.
