The authors showed evidence of the usefulness of "Loggbok" for developing "self study planning ability" in Swedish compulsory schools. But, its educational effects have not been examined. Therefore, this study focused on the effects and the problems of the practical use of "Loggbok". The practical use of "Loggbok" was investigated by a questionnaire, class observation and interview. The questionnaire was distributed to three schools, asking the following questions: (1), do pupils have self-monitoring ability? (2), has the "ability to be responsible" been improved? and (3), does "Loggbok" help the incentive for learning? Class observation and interview in Eklanda-skolan focused on the following: (1), the teachers' approaches to prevent "drop out" and to foster a sense of responsibility in pupils, and (2), equality in teacher-pupil relationship.

In this paper, a school reform project "Ashita mo hayakuikitai gakkou tukuri" was introduced and discussed. In order to prevent various recent school problems, bullying such as school refusal, violence, and anti-social behaviors, the reform project was plan. At a junior high school, the project was implemented for 3 years. Cooperation with people at the area and improvement of self-esteem of students and teachers were two important goals of the project. The school system has been changed and the teacher and students in the school have become more positive in their attitude toward school. The people at the area were more engaged to the school.

This paper reviewsthe studies on teachers'1earmlgand development fromtheperspectives of teachers'knowledge acquisition. 入学問もない1年生に毎日宿題を課した.宿題は, A4片面1枚としその裏面に音読用の詩を載せた.現代詩から『論語』,『平家物語』, 『百人一首』, 『実語教』, 『尊徳語録』など幅広いジャンルからの詩を提供した.詩を暗記できたら「音読認定証j にシールを貼り, 5作品を暗記するごとに音読認定証3級から順次等級の認定を行った.保護者の理解と援助も得られ,保護者から子どもに称賛が与えられ,また保護者と子どもの関係がより密接になった.それにより子どもたちが安定した学校生活を送れるようになった.低学年でも古典に親しむことができることが分かった.音読は声に出して読むことにより,本人および周囲の者との良好な関係を構築する力があることが分かった.新しい学校で3年生を担任することになった.これまでの経験を生かし音読の宿題を課しているが,子どもたちにも好評であり学級も落ち着いている.

In this paper I started with a question that the piano teaching methods at the department of education have too much focus on the specialist curriculum, which is often seen at music colleges or conservatories. Contrary to those methods for a specialist curriculum, I devised a new method to train students' ability in music which would be applicable for different situations in school, for example string or blass ensemble, chorus, etc. This method was put in practice in group lesson form. I used many pieces for four hands as well as solo music in various styles and characters as materials. This paper reports a practical study under the concept of how to grasp various music theories and knowledge and how to develop them into the live musical expression, using piano as the medium.

College of Education in Shinshu University introduced field placement activities, "Shin-dai YOU-Yu Saturday," as a part of preservice teacher education curricula. As prospective teachers, college of education students expanded their experience through the activities. Their reflective description on their practice was analyzed in order to clarify diverse aspects of expansion of their experience. The "Shin-dai YOU-Yu Saturday" facilitated students' growth of skills for lesson planning, communication, and material development. It provided prospective teachers with an opportunity to foster their practical teaching skills.

The purpose of this paper is to report the lesson of "net-type(especially dual-type)" game practiced in elementary school. The reason that net-type game is selected to physical education curriculum depends on the theory of "tactical games approach". In this lesson, decision making process in the game context was emphasized as learning objective. Learning outcome was considered from the viewpoint of formative class evaluation scored by learners.

In this thesis, we discussed the significance of nature's classroom in school education from three aspects: "the original experience (as it relates to the five senses) ," "the fundamental scientific view point," and "the basis for becoming independent." We showed, based on these three aspects, that Life Environment Study should be effectively used in the early years of elementary school education. Based on the significance of nature's classroom, we suggested that one way to improve Life Environment Study is for students to observe wild birds and to care for animals that they are familiar with. At the same time, we also emphasized the importance of teacher's role in this activity.

多くの世代間問題は様々な年齢層の間における交流の欠如に起因し、今日の社会では、実際にこれら多くのギャップが引き起こされている。年齢層で分断された学校システム、特に日本では家族の規模が縮小し、拡大家族が一緒に生活することがますます少なくなっている現実が、今日存在する交流縮小の主要な一因となっている。今、世界の各地で世代間交流のニーズに基づいて促進されている、多くのプログラムを把握することが奨励される。加えて西洋の古典にあたる聖書には、世代間参加・交流に関連した恩恵についての多くの実例が書かれていることに注目する必要がある。
