Ectopic pregnancy is considered as a possible diagnosis in cases in which women experience acute abdominal pain and a urinary human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) test produces a positive result. However, we present a case of ruptured ectopic pregnancy involving a negative urinary pregnancy test result. A 34-year-old nulliparous woman was admitted to the emergency room of our hospital due to the sudden onset of lower abdominal pain. Rebound pain in the lower abdomen was detected during a physical examination. Since transabdominal ultrasonography showed massive ascites, and a urinary pregnancy test produced a negative result, we performed a contrast-enhanced computed tomography scan and found a 5-cm right-sided ovarian cyst and extravasation around the left adnexa. We diagnosed the patient with left ovarian hemorrhaging and a right ovarian hemorrhagic luteal cyst. Two hours later, hemorrhagic shock occurred, and an emergency laparoscopic operation was carried out. We detected a swollen left fallopian tube, which had ruptured and was bleeding. We performed left salpingectomy. After the operation, the patient's preoperative serum sample was re-examined to re-assess her hCG level. As a result, her serum hCG level was found to be 23.3 mIU/ml. Pathological examinations showed a very small number of chorionic villi. The final diagnosis was ectopic pregnancy. The patient's postoperative course was uneventful. This case report illustrates the difficulty of diagnosing ectopic pregnancy. Clinicians should include ectopic pregnancy in the differential diagnoses for cases of acute abdominal pain involving women of reproductive age, regardless of the results of urinary pregnancy tests.

Prisoner's Dilemma is often mentioned to assert that morality is not rationality and that it makes possible the optimal choices which rational players can not choose. However, I argue that this view is not a correct solution of the dilemma. Rather, folk theorem provides the way to achieve the optimal rationally. It shows that a cooperative action is taken by each player to maximize his or her payoff in the long term. Therefore, morality should be seen as a kind of rationality. From this perspective, virtues are some advantageous characteristics of particular rational agents and moral rules are descriptions of equilibrium strategies in the social repeated games.

The objective of the present study is to elucidate the ow mechanism of delaying stall by use of wavy leading edges. Experiments were carried out to examine the effects of variant wavy leading edges attached on NACA0018 section wing of aspect ratio 1.6. The Reynolds number based on the chord length is Rec = 1:38 × 105 for the experiments. For these tests, lift, drag, and moment of wings with and without wavy leading edges were measured in a circular water channel. Flow visualization on the surface of wings was also conducted in order to clarify the eects of the wavy leading edges on the delaying stall. It is found that the wavy leading edges can control ow separation and delay stall, which in turn is good for producing large lift force at poststall angles of attack. Under the same height condition, the short width of wavy protuberance shows good performance of the wings compared with that of the long width. The wavy protuberance located near the wing tip does not enhance hydrodynamic performance.

症例は71歳,女性。ANCA関連血管炎に対するステロイド療法に伴うビスホスフォネート製剤の内服開始後47日目に心窩部痛が出現した。上部消化管内視鏡検査にて胸部中部下部食道に全周性の易出血性びらん・潰瘍が多発し,切歯列33cmに穿孔を疑う深い潰瘍を認めたが,胸部CTでは縦隔気腫・膿瘍形成を認めず保存的加療にて軽快した。本例は同剤の稀ながらも重篤な副作用である食道潰瘍が不適切な服薬状況により生じたと考えられる教訓的な症例である。

J. L. Austin presented an elaborated correspondence theory of truth. His formulation of the truth condition of statements roughly is as follows: a statement is true when the situation to which it is correlated by the demonstrative conventions is of a type of situations with which the sentence used in making it is correlated by the descriptive conventions. Austin uniquely asserts there are various degrees of truth. His truth condition can explain this in two ways. Firstly, the degree of truth is that of a situation's being of a given type. Secondly, it is the position, in the hierarchy of types, of the type which a given situation is of.

As seaborne trade has greatly increased in recent years, it becomes more difficult to secure crew of ships. Therefore, it is an important issue how to realize unmanned robot ships which can automatically navigate without collisions even in congested waters. Although Rolls-Royce is planning to build a remotely controlled ship in 2020, standard control technology for unmanned ships has not been developed yet. Therefore an automatic collision avoidance system is discussed by carrying out not only computer simulations but also model experiments prior to the tests using actual vessels. For this purpose, the authors built an experimental system for the validation of automatic collision avoidance algorithm. In this paper, model experiments using multiple ships conducted at Marine Dynamics Basin at National Research Institute of Fisheries Engineering are introduced. Through comparisons with numerical simulations which the same algorithm for collision avoidance is implemented, it is found that there is a discrepancy in occurrence of collision in extremely congested situation.

マルウェアの静的解析において,Windows APIはマルウェアの機能を効率的に読み取るための重要な情報源である.しかし,その有用性のため,マルウェア作者はマルウェアに難読化を施し,インポートしているAPIを隠蔽する傾向がある.本論文では,マルウェアが利用するAPI難読化手法とそれらを解析する既存手法を整理し,既存手法がAPIの配置場所を難読化する解析妨害に脆弱であることを示す.次に,この問題を解決するため,テイント解析により得た情報に基づき,メモリダンプ内のIATのAPIアドレス解決を行う提案する.本提案手法を用いることで,マルウェが配置場所難読化を施した場合でも,インポートしているAPIを正確に特定できることを実験にて示す.
