This research focuses on picture books, a medium for childhood reading, during which gender stereotypes are formed. The colors of the clothing of characters in picture books and the words they utter reveal characteristics of gender expression. The results showed that gender and age were among the most prominent characteristics in depicting characters in picture books, with red used more frequently for females and less bright shades for males. The proportion of colorful colors was higher among children, and the ratio of achromatic colors increased with age. These results are consistent with previous studies on color images and the evolution of color preferences with age. In the text, it was found that the differences between men and women in the way they perceive things are reflected in the text. These results suggest that picture books may influence the formation of children’s gender images and color preferences.

本研究は,スポーツを観る側の視点から,バレーボールユニフォームの色に対して,どのような印象を受けるのかについて知ることを目的とした.はじめに,観る側のユニフォームの注目度とその印象を形容詞で回答するアンケート調査を行った.そして,静止画像を用いて1つのユニフォームを見た場合と2つのユニフォームを同時に見た場合の色の印象をSD法によって評価した.その結果,黒は‘地味’,‘くすんだ’,‘重い’,‘暗い’,‘かっこいい’,赤は‘あつい’といった印象を与え,因子分析によって,「価値」と「色彩」の因子が抽出された.また,2つのユニフォームを同時に見た場合の印象は,1つのユニフォームを見た場合の印象から予測できることがわかった.さらに,実験結果の一部を4つの色彩感情モデルから予測した結果と比較することで,本研究の結果がいくつかの色彩感情モデルによって予測される色の印象に適応していることが認められた.

In this paper, we propose a convolutional autoencoder with a new structure for unsupervised learning when the purity of the training data is not guaranteed. This autoencoder has two unique features: the target area is reconstructed from the surrounding areas and the L2 loss is predicted simultaneously. The superiority of this model was verified using SEM images of defective nanofibrous materials by calculating the AUC value. The results of our experiments with the training data contaminated by defective data show that the former feature improves the robustness against contamination of the training data and the latter improves the accuracy. Although this approach did not achieve the highest accuracy, it could reduce the cost of annotation for practical use. Furthermore, we applied our method to images of NISHIJIN textiles and found that it worked well for some types of textiles.

食べ物の食感に関するオノマトペ(擬態語・擬音語)による色彩連想を検討した.特に菓子の食感に関する9の刺激語(かりかり,ざくざく,ぱりぱり,ふわふわ,もちもち,ぷにぷに,ぷるぷる,とろとろ,しゅわしゅわ)について,色彩印象,単語の印象,連想語を調査した.色彩印象については,被験者にディスプレイ上で各刺激語から連想される1色を調色させた.単語の印象については5段階,15項目のSD法を用いて印象評価を行った.最後に刺激語から連想される語を2語までの自由記述により調査した.得られた色データは分光放射輝度計で測色し,a*b*色度図,L*C*色調図を作成した.その結果,色彩印象は1語(しゅわしゅわ)のみ9割の被験者が類似色相色を連想し,他8語については刺激語ごとに特徴が表れ,全体として3グループに分類された.グループごとの特徴は単語の印象との関連が示唆され,色彩印象と単語の印象の相関を考察したところ,5つの印象項目は色彩印象との相関が確認された.また,いくつかの連想語は刺激語の色彩印象との関連の可能性が示された.

布の新しい価値を提案するために、布から得られる,視て触って感じる情報に関係する有効な特性値の抽出を進めた。主な試料は、西陣織物,絹、綿のちりめんである。その結果、視感では西陣織物の中に挿入される金糸の効果や織柄の特徴を識別できる評価方法をみつけた。この方法は、特定の光の当たる角度/見る角度の組み合わせで、布を回転させながら測定する。触感では、絹のちりめんの特に厚さを変えることで、適したシルエットが設計可能なことを示した。またちりめんのしぼ形状と綿素材の吸湿性能に及ぼす強い撚り糸の効果がわかり、それがさらっとした触感に寄与している。
