The purpose of this study is to give graphical expression to the building system by symbolized building joints. On the assumption that a building is considered as a thing that is assembled systematically by building members, the organization of building members should be expressed by three kinds of matrix. ie. jointing matrix, building member matrix, joint parts matrix. By this way, not only the whole form but details can be expressed and analysis of organization of building become easy.

This paper presents the process of the development of the new slipperiness tester and the performance of it. Based on the concept of a new slipperiness tester reported in part 2, a tester (DRAG TYPE) of which details remained changeable and could be adjusted by the result of the later experiments was first developed. The result of measurement of many surfaces, namely, the pulling load-time curves were analysed to find the physical value which can indicate the degree of slipperiness, and coefficient of slip resistance (C.S.R.) was finally found. C.S.R is defined as Pmax/W; where Pmax is the maximum pulling load, W is the loading weight. Then, the each specification of the tester was able to determined in a certain way as C.S.R corresponds smoothly enough to the subjective slipperiness value on the sensory scale obtained in part 1. Moreover, even in matters of the test on powdery and oily surfaces which were similar to actual dusty and muddy wet ones, the smooth correspondence was also recognized. These results made clear that the newly developed tester can be regarded as appropriate for measuring the slipperiness of actual floors.

In this paper, the cognition process of image about the appearance for Chinese and Japanese traditional architectures was analyzed by the Chinese and the Japanese modern. The appearance that was considered the model of image layer structure from language expression, and use it to analyzed the results of SD into mapping. Than analyzed the causal relation with the mapping results by graphical modeling. According to the results were clarified; by the compare with the Chinese and the Japanese modern, the final "evaluation" was similarity but the process was difference. And about the attribution of the difference, the "space" was important to Japanese and the "decoration" was important to Chinese.

Concerning the external appearance of Chinese and Japanese modern architecture were investigated to Japanese students. Based on the SD method, two stages image tests were performed. And using the layer structure model of image, graphical modeling analysis and fuzzy outranking analysis were carried out. According to those results, "adjective pairs" that can describe the first impression of Chinese and Japanese modern architecture were extracted. And about the difference of processes for the evaluation of appearance, the "structure" was important to Chinese modern architecture and the "space" was important to Japanese modern architecture.

“JIYUGAKUEN MYONICHIKAN” was built with Frank Lloyd Wright and Arata Endo, and specified for national important cultural properties in 1997. In this paper, we research the plastering of restoration work of MYOUNICHIKAN that was conducted from 1999 to 2002. As a result, policies, materials, a mix proportion and a process of the plasterer construction are clarified. It is basic policy of a restoration work to return to a state at the time of the foundation but new materials and method of construction are used for improving safety and constraints of construction. This will provide important data for restoration and preservation of buildings using.

Jiyugakuen Myonichikan was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and his disciple Arata Endo. The Myonichikan was designated as an important cultural property in May 1997. Oya-stone is used extensively in the Myonichikan as well as in Imperial Hotel in Tokyo beacase it is soft enough in which to carve geometrical patterns. However it also deteriorates easily. Because the Myonichikan had become superannuated many parts of Oya-stone have deteriorated and there were structural problems. Therefore restoration work was conducted from 1999 to 2001. This paper arranges details of restoration according to various building structures where Oya-stone is used such as basements, columns, fireplace, chimney, etc. This will provide important data for restoration and preservation of buildings using Oya-stone.

The value of the wooden house in Korea is reviewed, and needs have risen through building and preservation in Korea. And the imported wooden house is changing to Korean-style. This reports aims to investigate the current state of the wooden construction in Korea that has not been known in Japan yet, to grasp the problem concerning the wooden house in Korea, and to present the clue of the spread strategy of the wooden house to be able to deal with the problem.
