This paper presents the process of the development of the new slipperiness tester and the performance of it. Based on the concept of a new slipperiness tester reported in part 2, a tester (DRAG TYPE) of which details remained changeable and could be adjusted by the result of the later experiments was first developed. The result of measurement of many surfaces, namely, the pulling load-time curves were analysed to find the physical value which can indicate the degree of slipperiness, and coefficient of slip resistance (C.S.R.) was finally found. C.S.R is defined as Pmax/W; where Pmax is the maximum pulling load, W is the loading weight. Then, the each specification of the tester was able to determined in a certain way as C.S.R corresponds smoothly enough to the subjective slipperiness value on the sensory scale obtained in part 1. Moreover, even in matters of the test on powdery and oily surfaces which were similar to actual dusty and muddy wet ones, the smooth correspondence was also recognized. These results made clear that the newly developed tester can be regarded as appropriate for measuring the slipperiness of actual floors.

The pupose of this paper is to relate the athlete's sense on resilieucy to factors being extracted from measuring the resibiency. The result are obtained from the inquiry about the athlete's sense on resiliency as follows. ・Almost athletes are sensible the difference of resiliency. ・We could extract several gymnasiums which was typical type of resiliency. The results are obtained from the experiment of measuring resiliency with the apparatus being planned and manufactured by way of trial as follows. ・We could obtain dyynanic load-deflection courves of gymnasium floor. ・The relation of gymnasium floor's deflection energy and athlete's sense on resiliency is very intimate. ・The efficiency of vibration damping and the stability of the floor's deflection have influence upon the athlete's sense on resiliency.

This paper presents some knowledge of vibrations caused by actions of a large audience during concert is given. Firstly, full investigation was made into relationships between vibrations, actions of audience and music programme of a concert. From this investigation, it was made clear that main cause of the vibration was "TATENORI" action "TATENORI" action was done by audience when rhythms of performed music became quick (about 2-3 Hz). Secondly, from the relationships between experimental and analytical investigation, exciting force of "TATENORI" action was estimated. One time history curve was obtained as the exciting force, which was composed of triangular pulses.

The purpose of this study is to present the lower criterion of C.S.R not to slip at the landing when people step on the slippery surface without the knowledge of the slipperiness changing. In this paper, first, it was made clear that the most dangerous motion was fast walking at the speed of one-point-two-two times the height per second. So, fast walking and walking at natural speed were selected as motions to be investigated. Secondly, from the investigation of the load applied to the floor while these motions, the load to be simulated by "Landing Slip Meter" was established.

This study presents the evaluating method of hardness and slipperiness of aerobic dance floors from a viewpiont of comfortableness, fatigue, and safety. The evaluating indexes and evaluating method are established, based on the correspondence between the judgements of aerpobic dance instrutors and phisical values of aerobic dance floors measured by our original measuring devices.

本研究では、塗床,張り床における床下地面および床仕上面凹凸の評価方法に関する研究を行った。始めに直径・深さの異なる2種の凹部を設けたアクリル製床下地に、メタクリル樹脂・エポキシ樹脂・ウレタン樹脂をそれぞれ3種の塗厚で施工し、硬化後に塗床表面に生じた凹凸量を測定し、床下地の凹部直径・深さおよび塗厚との関係を示した。次にエポキシ樹脂について官能検査を行い、塗床表面の凹凸量に関する視覚的観点から気になるか・気にならないかの尺度を構成し、この尺度を用いて床下地凹量の限界値を推定できる可能性を示した。さらに、床凹凸試料上をキャスターが走行した際にキャスターに生じる鉛直方向の加速度による床凹凸試料の序列の相関を、キャスターの仕様(重量,車輪の径,走行速度,車輪のかたさ)間で検討し、加速度により床凹凸に相対的序列をつけることが可能であること、加速度の観点から床凹凸を評価する際には床凹凸の断面形状のみでなく、かたさの要因も含めて評価する必要があることを示した。さらに欠陥に起因する床の不具合を調査し、欠陥のないコンクリート床下地の重要性を確認した。次に、コンクリート床下地表層部分の欠陥を発生させる施工における不適正の現状を把握し、さらに不適正に起因する欠陥を実験的に検証した。以上より、適正な計画,管理下における床下地コンクリート施工の重要性を再確認および指摘した。

The change of evaluation of floor slipperiness resulted from the change of gait with aging was investigated in this paper. At first, we developped an outfitting equipment for the young to simulate geriatric gait. Secondly, the sensory test was carried out using young panels with and without the equipment. The psychological scale of evaluation relating to slipperiness of sample floors employed for the test was constructed. Then, C. S. R which was the physical value corresponding to slipperiness was measured using "O-Y Pull Slip Meter". Thirdly, based on the correlation between the psychological scale and C. S. R, the difference of the aged from the young in evaluating slipperiness was investigated.

The purpose of this study is to establish the evaluation method of safety of building elements and members from the viewpoint of slipperiness with hands that is important to ensure the safety of persons especially for aged and physically handicapped persons. In this paper, we presents the measurement method of slipperiness of handrails and grab bars, as a first step of this study. First, we carried out sensory tests, and human sense of slipperiness of handrails and grab bars were scaled under various conditions. Next, we developed the slip meter of handrails and grab bars, that could measure the slip resistance of handrails and grab bars, corresponded to sensory scales. As a result, we presented the measurement method of slipperiness of handrails and grab bars.

The purpose of this study is to consider on slipperiness of floors from a viewpoint of fatigue occurring after long term physical activity. The first, it was cleared that the psychological scales about fatigue which were made by sensory tests corresponded to the slip resistance of floors measured by the apparatus which was developed in previous study. The next, the relationships between fatigue and slipperiness was considered with biomechanical and physiological parameters. As a result, we presented the fact that slipperiness of floor was very important factor and presented the suitable slip resistance from a viewpoint of fatigue.
