We analyzed the relationships between impression ratings and phonetic properties of monologues using the Corpus of Spontaneous Japanese (CSJ). The impression ratings were of subjective attributes such as speaking rate and speech style. Each attribute was rated on a seven-point scale. The phonetic properties were objective attributes such as speaking rate and pause ratio, as measured directly from the CSJ speech data. Using six phonetic properties and five impression ratings as variables, structural equation modeling was conducted to explain not only the relations between the impression and phonetic properties but also the relations among the impressions. The model showed that the impressions “Skillfulness” and “Liking” could be predicted from the impressions “Speech rate”, “Activity”, and “Formality”, which in turn could be related with the objective phonetic properties. Moreover, it was shown that the higher the “Skillfulness” evaluation, the higher the “Liking” evaluation.

『日本語話し言葉コーパス』に収録された音声を用い, 講演音声の特徴を捉える印象評定尺度の構築を試みた。まず先行研究等で用いられた評価語を収集すると共に講演音声を実際に聞かせて印象を自由記述させたデータからも評価語の抽出を行った。計52項目の評価語を候補として選出し, 50名規模の評定者を用いて印象評定を2度実施した。得られた印象評定データに対して因子分析を行い, 評価語の絞り込みを行った。その結果, 上手さ・好悪・速さ感・活動性・スタイルという五つの特徴を測る尺度が完成した。各尺度の信頼性はいずれも高く実用に足るものであった。

A reminiscence bump is a phenomenon that people typically remember the events experienced the ages of 10 and 30 more often than these experienced in other period. This paper investigates (1) whether a reminiscence bump is found in autobiographical memory in Japanese elders, and (2) the features and content of autobiographical memories in general and in the bump. Twenty-five participants more than sixty-years old recalled past events using a cue-word method, described the content of each memory, dated the event, and rated the features of the memory on five scales, i. e., vividness, importance, present self-involvement, past self-involvement, and frequency of recall. The results showed that although a reminiscence bump emerged, memories within the bump did not differ from other memories in terms of rated features nor in content. Approximately 50% of autobiographical memories were “self-centered”, 30% were about “self-other relations”, and the rest were “other-centered” and “scenes” which did not involve people. The results were discussed in relation to theories about the reminiscence bump.

筆者らは1996年以来日本語熊本方言を対象として発話の丁寧さの知覚におよぼす語彙的要因と韻律的要因の関係について実験的検討をくわえてきた.前半でこれまでの研究成果を概観した後,後半では最新の実験結果に基づいてデータに観察される社会差について新規に検討をくわえる.われわれは従来,比較的若い年代の被験者による実験結果に立脚して丁寧さの表出に果たす語彙と韻律の貢献はほぼ同程度であると推定していた.しかし被験者の年代を高年層と中学生にまで拡大した結果,高年層では語彙の果たす役割が大きく韻律が果たす役割が小さいこと,そして年齢が低下するにともなって,この関係が逆転してゆくことが発見された.
