2005年に公開された映画『ALWAYS三丁目の夕日』は老若男女に支持され、その年の日本アカデミー賞をほとんど独占した。昭和33年を舞台にしたこの映画がヒットしたことで、「昭和ブーム」とも言えるほどの注目が、昭和30年代を中心とした時代に集まっている。しかし、実はこの昭和への注目はここ1~2年前から生まれたものではなく、昭和が終わり、平成に入った頃に生まれ、着実に浸透してきたものだ。本稿では、この「昭和ブーム」の実態を紹介し、その原因、そしてその行方まで探求する。原因としては、(1)昭和が終わったこと、(2)昭和が長かったこと、(3)バブル経済が崩壊したこと、(4)ベビーブーマーが過去を振り返る年代に入ったこと、が主たるものであるということを明らかにする。本稿は、平成17年度関西大学学術研究助成基金(焚励研究)(テーマ:歴史的環境の保存と活用をめぐる社会的相互作用の研究)を受けて行った研究成果の一部である。〕

Sociology may be considered to be a diverse field, given the wide variety of topics on which research papers have been published in this discipline. However,if we identify the subjects taught to sociology majors in many universities,we may be able to say that we have a certain common understanding about the topics that we should teach these students.The contents of sociological education are gradually changing with the times. This paper is an attempt from the sociology of knowlege to understand the relationship between sociological education and the times,by investigating changes in the curriculum of sociology majors in the faculty of Kansai University,which has a history of more than 40 years from its foundation to the present. 社会学は多様だと言われる。確かに、発表される多種多様な研究論文を見る限り、まさに多様だと言えそうである。しかし、各大学の社会学の専門課程で教えられる授業科目に目をやると、社会学を専攻した学生に教えるべき内容には一定の共通認識があるようにも見える。そして、その社会学教育として教えられるべき内容は、時代の要請に応える形で少しずつ変化をしてきている。本稿は、40年以上の歴史をもつ関西大学社会学部社会学専攻の創設時から現在までのカリキュラムの変遷を追うことで、時代と社会学教育の変化の関係を捉えようとする、ひとつの知識社会学的試みである。

本稿は、社会学の現状に危機感を持ち、社会学はどのような学問であるべきかについて私見を述べたものである。多面的な切り口から自由に述べさせてもらっているので、一見すると一貫性に欠けたものと思われるかもしれないが、社会学という学問は、マクロな視野をもった実証的な学問であるべきだという考え方がその根本にある。

筆者は、1987年から5年おきに7回30年の長きにわたって大学生の価値観調査を行ってきている。その間に1995年に一度、1987年時点で大学生だった若い社会人の価値観調査を行い、学生時代から価値観がどう変化するのかを調べたことがある。今回25年ぶりに、大学を卒業した社会人の調査を実施し、大学卒業後どのように価値観を変化させるのかを明らかにした。7回の大学生調査との比較や、1995年の社会人調査と比較することで、「年代(年齢)」「世代」「時代」の影響によって価値観がどのように変わっているかが明らかになった。仕事上の立場の変化、結婚し子どもを持つことによる社会的立場の変化の影響は、当然ながら多くの項目で見られる。また他方で、年代(年齢)を超えて、同じ時代を生きるものとして同じような価値観の変化をしているものも見られることも明らかになった。

本稿は, 1987年以来5年おきに継続的に調査してきた「大学生の意識と価値観」の第3回調査を基礎とした論稿である。本稿の狙いは,この10年の間の大学生の意識と価値観の変化を明らかにすることにある。調査の結果,以下の5点が大きく変化したものとして浮き上がってきた。1)男女関係のあり方に関する意識の変化, 2)社会関心と上昇志向の低下, 3)政治に対する関心と参加意欲の低下, 4)自衛隊に対する肯定的見方の増加, 5)大学別の意識差の縮小。しかし,確かにこうした意識は変化しているが,他方で,その根底にある「やや個人主義的でありながら,他人との協調性を大事にし,大きな社会の変化を望まず,できることなら楽しく楽に暮らしていきたい」という価値観―筆者はこれを「個同保楽主義」と名付けている―自体は,大きな変化はしていないということも明らかになった。

Sociology should be sensitive to the situation of the current times,and able to analyze,predict and make timely proposals.Sociology shouldn't appear slowly as the interpreter after the situation settles,but should exist as a sharp too for analyses,predictions and proposals while the situation is changing.This paper contains analyses,predictions and proposals concerning situations that occurred during three years of men's change,for example,the birth of "Herbivorous boy".

At the present time, comics is one of the typical Japanese mass culture, which is supported and inherited by the masses. So, we can know mass consciousness through analysis of comics. Here are four methods of sociological analysis of comics. First is historical analysis of popular comics in each period. To some degree, we can explain why one comic got popular by the situation of period. Second is qualitative method of important comics. It's a kind of intensive analysis of comic content. Third is quantitative method. Researching how many each comic magazine is printed, how often children read comics and so on, we can understand mass consciousness quantitatively. Fourth is analysis of comic writers including lots of semi-professional ones ("doujin-shi" writers) who can be called "mass writers". I select the first method in this paper. Analyzing popular comics historically, I emphasize four characteristics of present comics. 1) Appearance of variety for different readers. 2) Establishment as a media. 3) Publishing very large number of comic books. 4) Vulgarness of content with simple fun, sex and violence.
