基本波成分の瞬時周波数の計算に基づく音声の基本周波数の新しい抽出方法を提案し、発声と同時に記録したEGG信号との相互比較と人工的信号を用いたシミュレーションにより、性能の評価を行なった。基本周波数および基本周期に対して等方的なGabor関数から導かれるanalyzing waveletを用い、基本周波数の探索範囲を40Hz〜800Hzとした場合、後処理無しの状態で既に本方法の性能は、従来の方法の性能を凌駕している。因に、女性の発声した100文章音声の分析結果は、全分析結果の50%以上が、EGGの分析結果の±0.3%以内に入っていることを示した。wavelet分析に基づいて新たに「基本波らしさ」の指標を定義することにより、基本周波数を抽出せずに基本波成分を選択できるようにしたことが本方法の鍵となっている。

In recent years the hikikomori (social withdrawal) phenomenon described in Japan has also come to be seen in Europe, particularly France. Despite the high level of interest in hikikomori in France, it has not been clearly defined and there is no clear overall understanding of the phenomenon. Our Japanese-French research team, supported by a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B) (overseas surveys), compared hikikomori youths in France and Japan from the perspectives of researchers in various fields. The aim of this study was to investigate the kinds of people to whom the concept of hikikomori is applied in France and Japan. A clinical conference was held in Paris in September 2010 to discuss cases considered to be hikikomori in the two countries. This article is an interim report from research in the first year of a series of international joint studies, and describes the commonalities and differences in the state of hikikomori in Japan and France.

The circadian time structure (CTS) has long been the subject of research in occupational medicine, but not to industrial toxicology, including methods of setting threshold limit values (TLVs) and employee biological monitoring. Numerous animal and human investigations document vulnerability to chemical, contagion, and other xenobiotics varies according to the circadian time of encounter. Permanent and rotating nightshift personnel are exposed to industrial contaminants in the same or higher concentration as dayshift personnel, and because of incomplete CTS adjustment to night work, contact with contaminants occurs during a different biological time than day workers. Thus, the amount of protection afforded by certain TLVs, especially for employees of high-risk settings who work night and other nonstandard shift schedules, might be inadequate. The CTS seems additionally germane to procedures of employee biological monitoring in that high-amplitude 24 h rhythms in biomarkers indicative of xenobiotic exposure may result in misjudgment of health risks when data are not gathered in sufficient frequency over time and properly interpreted. Biological reference values time-qualified for their rhythmic variation, currently of interest to laboratory medicine practice, are seemingly important to industrial medicine as circadian time and work-shift specific biological exposure indices to improve surveillance of personnel, particularly those working nonstandard shift schedules.

The production of tannase (tannin acyl-hydrolase) was demonstrated in cultivated strains of Bacillus pumilus, B. polymyxa, Corynebacterium sp., and Klebsiella pneumoniae, with chestnut bark extract as the sole carbon source. The rapid degradation of the tannin structure was related to the production of extracellular tannase assayed by a new method. Gallic acid was the only degradation product observed with 3 of the strains, but intermediate products were detected in the cultivation broth of Bacillus pumilus. The optimum pH of enzyme activity was 5.5.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to perform a systematic review and to use a meta-analytical approach to assess quantitatively the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes in hairdressers and cosmetologists. Methods: A systematic literature search up to 1 February 2012 was carried out using major bibliographic databases, grey literature, contacts with research teams working on the subject, review papers and reference lists of selected articles. Observational studies reporting measures of effects in relation with body care (hairdressers, cosmetologists, etc.) and reproductive disorders were included. Study quality was assessed by three reviewers. The estimated risk ratios (RR) from all studies reporting on identical outcomes were combined using an average of logarithm transformation of estimated RR weighted by their inverted variance. Statistical heterogeneity across studies was assessed using Cochran's Q test. To explore the sources of heterogeneity, several sensitivity analyses and subgroup analyses were conducted based on study quality, country, study period, alcohol consumption, smoking habit, jobs and control populations. Results: Nineteen studies were selected and reviewed in-depth. The combined risk ratios (RRcs) of five reproductive outcomes were calculated and found to be significantly increased for four outcomes: time to pregnancy, which had an RRc of 1.11 (95% CI: 1.03–1.19); premature birth, which had an RRc of 1.05 (95% CI: 0.99–1.11); small for gestational age, which had an RRc of 1.24 (95 CI%: 1.10–1.41); low birth weight, which had an RRc of 1.21 (95% CI: 1.06–1.39); and embryonic and fetal losses, which had an RRc of 1.19 (95% CI: 1.03–1.38). Conclusions: This work confirms a weak increase in risk of some reproductive disorders in female hairdressers/cosmetologists. However, the evidence level is rather weak, and a causal association between job and reproductive outcomes cannot be asserted.(J Occup Health 2015; 57: 485–496)

Risperidone was compared with antipsychotics hitherto used for in vitro receptor binding using animal brain or cloned (human) receptors and in vivo receptor occupancy in rat and guinea pig brain following acute treatment. Both in vitro and in vivo, risperidone, 9-OH-risperidone, SM-9018, clozapine and clocapramine showed higher affinity for 5-HT2A- than for D2-receptors, whereas mosapramine, haloperidol, bromperidol and nemonapride had a slight to strong preference for D2- compared to 5-HT2A-receptors. In vivo, risperidone showed the highest potency for 5-HT2A-receptor occupancy; To obtain the same extent of D2-receptor occupancy, a 19-times higher dosage was required. 9-OH-Risperidone, the principal active metabolite of risperidone, showed a receptor occupancy profile comparable to that of risperidone. No regional selectivity for D2-receptor occupancy in mesolimbic vs nigrostriatal areas was detected for any of the compounds. Risperidone differed from the other compounds by the remarkably shallow slope of its D2-receptor dose-occupancy curve. A greater predominance of 5-HT2A-receptor vs D2-receptor occupancy and a more gradual occupancy of D2A-receptors differentiate risperidone from the other compounds. Both properties probably assist in preventing an extensive blockade of D2-receptors, the cause for extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS). The predominant 5-HT2A-receptor occupancy most likely underlies risperidone''s beneficial effects on the negative symptoms of schizophrenia and an adequately low D2-receptor occupancy adds to the treatment of positive symptoms with a low liability of EPS.

La2O3-Y2O3系の液相線を, ヘリオスタット式太陽炉を用い鏡面反射法により冷却曲線を求め, これより算定した. 熔融後急冷した試料をX線回折および偏光顕微鏡により検討した.この系の凝固点の測定結果を示し, また液相線下において40-73mol% La2O3組成間にLaYO3固溶体領域が観察された.他の相はLa2O3固溶体, La2O3+LaYO3固溶体, LaYO3+Y2O3固溶体およびY2O3固溶体であった.各配合組成の試料を1300℃-1700℃に加熱処理, および熔融した試料からLaYO3の単一相が観察された.LaYO3 (m.p. 2040±15℃) は高温X線回折を行った結果, 1450℃附近において斜方晶系〓単斜晶系に可逆転移することを認めた.La2O3-Y2O3系の高温平衡状態図を提案する.

Condensation of 5-amino, 6-amino, 7-amino and 8-amino-2, 2-dimethyl-2H-chromenes with either 6-bromo-veratraldehyde or 6-chloropiperonal afforded the corresponding Schiff bases, which were subsequently reduced to the corresponding benzylchromenylamines 30-33 and 36-39. Lithium diisopropylamide-mediated cyclization of those amines, followed by spontaneous air oxidation, afforded pyranophenanthridines 3-14. The cytotoxicity of compounds 3-14 was evaluated against L1210 and HT29 cell lines. 9, 9-Dimethyl-9H-pyrano[3, 2-b]phenanthridines appear to be the most promising compounds of the series, since both the dimethoxy derivative 11 and the methylenedioxy derivative 12 exhibit significant cytotoxic activity. Compound 12 was the most active and induced a massive accumulation of cells in G2+M phases, suggesting that the cytotoxicity is due to a perturbation of the integrity or function of DNA.

A large-scale testing program on alkali silica reaction (ASR)-affected concrete structural members without shear rein-forcement representative of structural members found in nuclear power plants is presented. Three concrete specimens, designed to experience a free expansion rate of approximately 0.15% per year were fabricated and placed within a controlled environmental chamber (38 ± 1°C (100 ± 2°F) and 95 ± 5% relative humidity (RH)). Sixty-four (64) embed-ded transducers and twelve (12) long-gauge fiber-optic sensors provide evidence of strong anisotropic expansion and oriented ASR-induced cracking resulting from the confinement effect caused by the reinforcement layout and addi-tional structural boundary conditions. Surface cracking is not indicative of internal ASR-induced damage/expansion.

The high level of genetic diversity in the microflora of the gastrointestinal tract has the potential to provide numerous beneficial functions to the host. Thus it is now acknowledged that the complexity in animal functioning is linked to the interacting microbiome in the gut. Despite the importance of gut microbiome, there is a lack of information concerning the microbial communities in the pig gut during the weaning transition. This study describes the fecal microbial shifts of healthy piglets during the weaning transition using barcoded pyrosequencing of the prokaryotic 16S rRNA gene. Fecal samples were obtained from 15 piglets during the pre-weaning period (fourth week after birth) and post-weaning (sixth week after birth) and were subjected to community genomic DNA extraction for pyrosequencing analysis. As the piglets underwent the weaning transition a trend toward increased bacterial diversity was observed, based on species abundance as measured by the Shannon-Weaver index. Firmicutes (54.0%) and Bacteroidetes (59.6%) were the most dominant phyla during pre-weaning and post-weaning, respectively. During the weaning transition a distinct shift from Bacteroides to Prevotella as the most abundant genus was observed. Additionally, we detected a number of abundant gut bacterial species that have not been reported previously. Clostridium rectum, C. clostridioforme, C. lactatifermentans and Butyricimonas virosa were uniquely detected prior to weaning while Roseburia cecicola and Blautia wexlerae were detected during the post-weaning period only.
