Recently, evaluation functions for Shogi by using computer has attracted much attention due to Bonanza based on machine learning. The Bonanza has achieved one of the strongest computer players for Shogi, which often defeat human players. In order to learn the evaluation functions, Bonanza utilizes a considerable number of game records. Meanwhile, reinforcement learning can learn evaluation values based on experiences. The reinforcement learning, however, has not succeeded in learning with a large number of fine-grained feature values. In this paper, we investigate the effects of the state representations in the evaluation functions for learning results, where the state representations are derived from the ones of 'Bonanza'.

In this paper, we propose a model of foraging behavior in multiple mobile robots. In this model, robots select behavior using their activities, which adjusted by interaction between other robots. And this model is using a mechanism of fighting behavior in male crickets. We simulate this model, and which shows that this model is better than a model of multiple robots without their activities about the working efficiency at dynamical working space.

Schizophrenic patients have abnormal sense of agency. The patients experiencing passivity phenomena believe their thoughts and actions to be those of external or alien entities. In this study, the authors propose method for simulating the cognitive deficit in schizophrenia whose data are comparable to the experimental data. We proposed the efferent copy activation and comparator inhibition model describes under-attribution and over-attribution in schizophrenic subjects. The output of this functional model is mapped onto the corresponding brain area based on Talairach atlas. The simulation results of this study well describe the experimental results of a schizophrenic cerebral pattern of activation.
