わが国のプロ野球チームの経営が俄かに脚光を浴び、経営危機とともに経営情報が公開された。そのため急遽わが国のプロサッカークラブの企業統治を同じ日本のプロスポーツであるプロ野球と比較するために、スポーツビジネスの研究者でもあり、福岡ソフトバンクホークスの取締役である小林至氏および営業担当者を訪問し、現状の課題をヒアリングした。次に、クラブが熱心な顧客であるサポーターに対する情報交換の場である湘南ベルマーレのサポーターズカンファレンスにオブザーバー出席し、そこで交換される情報とお互いのコミュニケーションについて参与観察し、同社社長、強化担当者との意見交換を実施した。サポーターカンファレンス時にクラブが実施した意識調査は入手の確約を得た。東海地区3クラブ(名古屋グランパスエイト、ジュビロ磐田、清水エスパルス)の試合会場にて実施された。本調査結果は、2006年1月の第3回日本フットボール学会にて発表した。本報告はスポーツ・体育関連の雑誌に投稿予定である。また地元企業主導型のガバナンスの事例である(株)アルビレックス新潟の広報および地元営業を担当している職員にヒアリング調査を実施した。湘南ベルマーレ同様、地元企業主導型のJクラブの地元協賛企業への対応について情報を得ることで、地元企業の経済効果などシナジー効果の提案が必要であることが明らかになった。そのほか名古屋グランパスエイト事業部担当者へのヒアリングから大企業が親企業となるJクラブの課題が浮き彫りにされた。最後に英国プロクラブ経営の近年の流れであるサポーターズトラストの動向をおさえるために、サポーターズ・ダイレクト事務局長から適宜メールにて情報交換を実施した。

GENDER IDENTITY DISORDER (GID) is a unique human condition that is classified behaviorally and treated medically with hormones and surgery in the severe form. This condition has been and still somewhat remains controversial by religious belief, social institutions and health care delivery systems. We described the surgical management of transsexuals, so called SEX REASSGINMENT SURGERY (SRS) and showed the team for gender treatment, GENDER CLINIC. A gender treatment team composing staff members from the Psychiatric, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Obstetric/Gynecological Surgery, and the Social Service, was established at the Hospital of Okayama University Medical schools in 1999. Female-to-Male procedures include mastectomy, phalloplasty, Phalloplasty are completion and an appurtenance, something pleasing to others. Male-to-Female program includes the genital surgery. The genital change surgery consists of the penile inversion, orchiectomy, vaginoplasty. Other prodedures include reduction thyroid chondroplasty, hair transplant, voice change, laryngeal surgery, epilation with the laser. SRS is the only effective treatment available today in the management of GID. The aesthetic and functional results achievable from various procedures are generally satisfactory and are acceptable to the patients. On the other hand, we should remember that the numerous steps of information for SRS will be required.

The present study aimed to provide an overview and compare Master′s degree programs to clarify the characteristic features of the curriculum course contents and lecture formats among four Master′s programs in sport management education: the TIAS in Japan and the AISTS, FIFA Master, and FIMBA programs in Europe, by utilization of semi-structured interviews and analysis of the data from the interviewees.<BR>    The paper clarifies that there are two types of Master′s programs designed to foster practical sport managers: 1) programs supported by the IOC and FIFA, and 2) newly developed programs of existing university graduate schools. Both types of programs differ in their lecture formats. In the type 1 programs, experts working in the IOC and IFs are invited as guest speakers to give lectures that are mostly organized around a discussion format and basically involve the use of PowerPoint slides. On the other hand, in the type 2 programs, the classroom format is generally followed, in which individual classes by instructors are taken weekly and over an extended period of time, following the set pattern of the university graduate schools. However, the curriculum is also flexible, where guest speakers are invited, using the same Powerpoint format through discussion as in the type 1 program. Furthermore, the study revealed that the subjects of each graduate school can be divided into common subjects and specific subjects. The point of difference among the said subjects was found to lie in their focus on the graduate′s destinations, keeping in mind the concept of the backgrounds and human resources installed in each graduate school and program.<BR>    In conclusion, our study reveals new findings in context of the professional graduate schools in Japan and Europe.

The purpose of this research was to clarify the factors related with student satisfaction and the requirements for career development for Japan’s first English sport management graduate program that fosters international sport managers, and the ideal graduate program necessary to develop human resources who can play an active role as leaders in the international sport world in Japan. A chi-square test was performed by cross tabulating each factor to clarify the relationship between “total satisfaction” and “satisfaction” of individual categories, “total career necessity”, and “career necessity” of individual categories according to the results of the TIAS graduate survey. The results indicate that there is a significant difference in the satisfaction level of the subjects in Olympic and Paralympic education and a common ground between the high group and the non-high group of total satisfaction of the graduates as a factor that affects satisfaction level. In addition, for services other than lecture content, there was a significant difference in terms of “Quality of lectures”, “Opportunities for good communication with lecturers” and “High academic support for lecture’s students”, which also represent high and non-high groups of overall satisfaction. Conversely, from the viewpoint of the career requirements of graduates, the content of the lectures differs from the satisfaction of graduates, and all lectures in the “Sport management field” have a significant difference between the high group and the non-high group of comprehensive career requirements. In addition, for services other than lecture content, unlike the results obtained regarding satisfaction, there was also a significant difference in the quality of opportunity provision between the high and the non-high group overall career needs groups and “Quality of external collaboration”, “Quality of industry network”, “Quality of students”, “Quality of administrative service” and “Quality of providing career opportunities”.
