2014年度の芸術工学研究所年間活動は、大きく以下の2点を挙げることが出来る。1点目は医とデザイン領域において、医療用器具としての「シューズ用除菌装置の試作開発」である。試作に関してはMIKCS(生命医学イノベーション創出人材センター)との連携を密にし、機構設計・筐体設計・アッセンブリを各々部署で分担し時間的ロスを効率的に進めることが出来た。また、その成果をMIKCSの一般社団法人設立総会において披露し、ポートピアホテルに於いてプレス発表までを行った。2点目は本学において、医療現場における映像と空間・モノというキーワードを設定し、医療従事者、建築家、メーカーの専門家による講師を招きセミナーを開催した。Annual activities of Research Institute of Arts and Design (RIAD) for 2014 are as follows:1. As a collaborative study between medicine and design, we developed sterilization apparatus for shoes. In particular, RIAD and Medical Innovation Kobe Community System (MIKCS) progressed efficiently design of the mechanism, chassis, and assembly. We presented the outcome of these activities at MIKCS establishment meeting for general incorporated association, and further conducted press release of the information at Kobe Portopia Hotel.2. Kobe Design University started research activities regarding images, space, and product in medical field and organized a research seminar inviting experts of medical area, architect, and product manufacturer.

少子高齢化が進行している我が国において、認知症者の増加は予想をはるかに上回り、2012年時点で高齢者人口の15%にあたる約462万人が認知症を発症していると発表された(朝田隆、厚生労働省研究班、2013)。一方、2010年現在、高齢者のいる世帯は全体の4割を占め、独居高齢者は男性140万人、女性346万人と推計されている(平成24年版高齢者白書、内閣府)。加齢に伴う生活不安の一つは自身あるいは家族が認知症になることであり、認知症が進行すれば在宅生活をあきらめざるを得ない。アルツハイマーに代表される認知症は進行性の疾患であり、数年間に及ぶ初期症状の段階を経て要介護状態となる。この初期段階における日常生活上の困難や混乱によって生じる「問題行動」は生活行為を縮小させ、認知機能の廃用を引き起こし、認知症の進行を早める危険性がある。著者らは、生活環境とりわけ日常生活で使用する家庭電化製品等(以下家電等と略記)が認知機能の低下に配慮していないことに起因していると仮定し、独居もしくは日中独居の高齢者がどのような家電等を継続使用しているのか、使用を中断したものはないか、といった調査を行い、その結果から認知力が低下しても継続使用が可能な家電等のデザイン方法について7つの知見を得た。In 2013, a research unit of Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare announced that more than 4.62 million are dementia and around 4 million are MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment), extremely exceeding expectation. On the other hand, households which have elderly counted 42% in 2010 in Japan. The cabinet estimated 1.3 million men and 3.5 million women of over 65 live alone.One of the fears of aging people is to be a dementia. People must move to institute when the stage of dementia goes deep. The dementia like an Alzheimer's disease become worth in several years, after intermediate stage so called MCI. In this intermediate stage, if some kind of problems happens, family member tend to take his/her independent activities. This makes dementia worth.The authors interviewed 91 elderly who live alone to find what kind of everyday technology are still used or quite using. Finally we found seven items of knowledge to design those elderly friendly.

人間は情報の75~80%を視覚から得ていると言われている。現在の都市生活においては闇は存在せず、視覚情報が途絶することも経験できない。視覚障害の疑似体験としてアイマスクを装着して視覚を遮断する体験が行われることがある。しかし、アイマスク装着は、アイマスクを装着しているから見えないということが明らかであり、周囲の見えている人との間にギャップを感じさせてしまう。ドイツのハイネッケ氏が考案したDialog in the Dark は、光を遮断した空間内を全盲の人にガイドされて見ず知らずの8 名程のグループが無視覚状態で行動するという体験型イベントで、参加者は①視覚以外の感覚の覚醒、②言語によるコミュニケーションの促通、③環境が障害をつくっており、環境によって立場が逆転することへの気づき、などを報告している。本プロジェクトでは、大学院総合工房の内部を完全に遮光し、暗闇空間滞在中の様子を記録した。本論では暗闇化の方法と、暗闇空間での行動について報告する。

兵庫県播磨町では、2007 年以降住民主体のまちづくり組織、旧播磨北小学校施設運営協議会(以下協議会)が中心となった地域づくり活動が行なわれている。2009 年度に兵庫県立東はりま特別支援学校が開校し、公立学校とまちづくり組織の協働による取り組みが開始された。本報告は、2009 年度に取り組まれた協議会が中心となった協働によるアートワークショップについてのプロセスデザインの報告である。アートワークショップでは、県立播磨南高校芸術類型の生徒と県立東はりま特別支援学校の生徒が作業を分担し、協力して絵を描いた。描かれた絵は、多くの人に見てもらうためにギャラリーでの展示が行なわれた。また、成果を参加した人に配布することと、より多くの人に配布するために別の媒体に加工することとした。描かれた絵の一部を取り出し、ポストカードとクリアファイルに加工し、地元住民等に配布された。このアートワークショップのプロセスを通じ、それまで交わることのなかった人同士が協力し、協力して創作活動を行うことができた。また、このプロセスを通じ、多主体が協働する際のきっかけと内容を明らかにすることができた。The community building activity led by the Machizukuri organization called ex-Harima North Elementary school Facilities Management Conference (NE-FMC)) has been implemented in Harima town, Hyogo prefecture since 2007. In 2009, Hyogo prefectural East Harima Special Needs Education School (EHSNES) was founded, and the collaborations of community building activities began. This paper reports the process design of the art workshop thorough the collaborations implemented in 2009.In the artwork shop, four paintings were drawn through the collaboration by students of the Harima South high school and students of EHSNES. The paintings were processed to postcards and clear files, and distributed to a lot of people. Through the collaboration, student could interact each other, and the process clarified the chances and the contents of collaborations between multi-groups.
