Examination of digeneans (Trematoda) parasitizing freshwater fishes collected in Nagano Prefecture, central Japan, revealed that 22 species including two new species occur in this prefecture. Sanguinicola ugui sp. nov. (Sanguinicolidae) is described from the blood vessels of Tribolodon hakonensis (Gunther) (Cyprinidae). Azygia rhinogobii sp. nov. (Azygiidae) is described from the stomach of Rhinogobius sp. (Gobiidae, type host) and Gymnogobius urotaenia (Hilgendorf) (Gobiidae), and the intestine of T. hakonensis. Phyllodistomum anguilae Long and Wai, 1958, P. mogurndae Yamaguti, 1934, P. parasiluri Yamaguti, 1934 (Gorgoderidae), and Pseudexorchis major (Hasegawa, 1935) Yamaguti, 1938 (Heterophyidae) are redescribed. The generic diagnosis of the genus Pseudexorchis Yamaguti, 1938 is amended in part. New host and locality records are provided for 20 known species. An outline of the life cycle of Asymphylodora macrostoma Ozaki, 1925 (Lissorchiidae) is given. A furcocystocerous cercaria, probably the cercarial stage of A. rhinogobii sp. nov., is briefly described from Sinotaia quadrata histrica (Gould) (Gastropoda, Viviparidae).

The adult of Nybelinia surmenicola OKADA in DOLLFUS, 1929 (Cestoda: Trypanorhyncha: Tentaculariidae) is described and illustrated for the first time. The sample was obtained from the stomach of the salmon shark, Lamna ditropis HUBBS et FOLLETT, taken in the Bering Sea. A morphological comparison is briefly made of the cestode specimens in different developmental stages colected from the euphausiids, squid, walleye pollock and salmon shark, and a possible life-history of N. surmenicola is discussed.

Parasite collection of Dr. Yoshimasa Ozaki has been deposited in the Meguro Parasitological Museum (MPM), Tokyo. Information on the platyhelminth parasites (turbellarians, monogeneans, and digeneans) reported in Dr. Ozaki's publications from 1923 to 1966 is assembled in a host-parasite list. The list includes: (1) for each parasite species, data adopted from corresponding publication(s), namely, the year(s) of publication(s), page number(s), figure number(s), table number(s), location(s), within the host(s), developmental stage(s), main field(s), of study, and locality(ies); (2) the holotype depository, if known; and (3) the MPM Collection Number(s) of the specimen(s) found in the collection. No note is given on taxonomy and nomenclature of host and parasite species. A bibliography, parasite-host index, and Japanese host name index are presented.

日本産淡水魚類から,二生虫の1属であるGenarchopsis OZAKI,1925(Derogenidae:Halipeginae)に属するG.goppo OZAKI,1925,G.anguillae YAMAGUTI,1938,G.fellicola sp.nov.および2群の未同定吸虫を記載した.これらについて,博物館標本,宿主,産地および生活史に関する資料を掲げた.新種のG fellicolaは,諏訪湖(基準産地)や潮来で,ハゼ科のウキゴリ(基準宿主),ヨシノボリおよびヌマチチブの胆嚢から得られたもので,G.goppoによく似てはいるが,胃ではなく胆嚢に寄生すること,吸盤比がより小さいこと,子宮末端部がより短いことなどで異なる.G.gigi YAMAGUTI,1939はG.goppoのシノニムと看做した.関連する科,亜科および属の標徴を改定した.

Helminth parasites, 11 species of trematodes, 4 species of cestodes and 6 species of nematodes, are described from marine planktonic invertebrates collected in Japanese waters and the East and South China Seas. The trematodes are: a Guschanskiana sp. Metacercaria (Accacoeliidae) from Sagitta enflata; Tetrochetus sp. Metacercariae (Accacoeliidae) from S. enflata, S. macrocephala and Sagitta sp.; Accacoeliidae gen. sp. metacercariae I, possibly of the genus Accactadium, from S. crassa f. naikaiensis, S. enflata, S. hexapera, S. macrocephala, Sagitta sp. and chaetognaths; Accacoeliidae gen. sp. metacercariae II from S. crassa f. naikaiensis; an Accacoeliidae gen. sp. metacercaria III, perhaps belonging to the genus Accacladocoelium, from S. crassa f. naikaiensis; Tergestia sp. metacercariae (Fellodistomidae), probably of T. laticollis (Rudolphi, 1819) Stossich, 1899, from S. crassa f. naikaiensis; Lecithocladium sp. metacercariae (Hemiuridae), possibly of L. excisum (Rudolphi, 1819) Lühe, 1901, from S. enflata, S. nagae and Sagitta sp.; a Parahemiurus sp. metacercaria (Hemiuridae) from a chaetognath; Hemiuridae gen. sp. metacercariae, related to the subfamily Dinurinae, from heterokrohnia sp., Sagitta sp. and chaetognaths; metacercariae of Pseudopecoelus japonicus (Yamaguti, 1938) von Wicklen, 1946 (Opecoelidae), from Euphausia similis; and a Paronatrema sp. metacercaria (Syncoeliidae) found free in a plankton haul. The cestodes are: Echinobothrium sp. larvae (Diphyllidea: Echinobothriidae) from Leptochela sp. pasiphaeids; Scolex pleuronectis Mueller, 1788 (Tetraphyllidea), from Sagitia sp.; Phyllobothriidae gen, sp. larvae (Tetraphyllidea) from Eukrohnia hamate and S. crassa f. naikaiensis; and larvae of Pseudonybelinia odontacantha Dollfus, 1966 (Trypanorhyncha: Tentaculariidae) from Euphausia recurva. The nematodes are: a larva of Anisakis sp. larva (Ⅰ) of Berland (1961) (Ascaridoidea: Anisak idea) from Euphausia nana; and Thynnascaris spp. larvae (Anisakidae) classified into five different types from S. crassa f. naikaiensis, S. nagae and Calanus sinicus. The metacercarial development including progenesis in E. similis and the life cycle of P. japonicas are discussed. The systematic position of P. odontacantha is discussed, and a diagnosis of the genus is given. A list of some other helminth or metazoan parasites obtained is appended.

アジアではじめて開かれたICMC93は、先日、9月15日、無事に終了した。科学と音楽の接点として、今日その権威と内容の豊かさにおいて、比べられるものがない国際会議であるといっていいだろう。その音楽における成果はもとより、その開催に向けて採られてきた様々なプロセスもまた、意味ある遺産になりうるものと思う。ここではそうした、プロセスをたどりながら、その成果と問題点、そして課題を考え、この会議のテーマとなった「新しき地平線」が真に実現せられるべきための、今後のこの会議のありかたにも言及してみたい。さらに現代の音楽における、この国際会議の意義についても、考えを述べ、より広範な音楽芸術のなかにおける位置づけについても考えてみたい。On September 15. the ICMC93 held in Asia as the first time was closed without serious trouble. It might be said that ICMC is the most important international conference on the point of its authority and the richness of its contents in the world today. I think not only the results on music but the process might be also the significant fortune in a short future in Japan. Here I'd like to report on the process at first and then on its results and problems and also on this conference as it ought to be in the close future. And, still more, I'll mention the significance of this conference in the contemporary music and I'd like to try to place the computer music as one of musical arts.
