Consultative behavior with spouses has been found to be effective in deterring telephone call–based fraud. This study aimed to identify the factors that enhance spousal counseling behavior during fraudulent phone call encounters. In December 2019, we conducted a questionnaire survey of 874 households each exclusively composed of an elderly marital couple (n = 1,748). The influence of the day-to-day marital relationship and trust in the spouse as a counselor on the intention to consult was examined using Actor-Partner Interdependence Model (APIM) analysis. The results showed that marital satisfaction had an indirect effect on intentions for consultative behavior, mediated by trust in both wives and husbands, and that marital satisfaction was defined by daily communication and positive problem-solving strategies. The results imply that efforts to communicate with spouses and to proactively solve problems increase marriage satisfaction and are also effective in promoting spousal counseling behavior.

主伐の時代を迎えた日本で林業が社会的に受け入れられるためには,伐採地の風景的価値を考慮した上で,生物多様性の保全や林業としての経済的合理性に配慮して,適切な主伐方法を選択する必要がある。そこで本研究では,針葉樹(トドマツ)人工林の皆伐地,群状に植栽木を残した伐採地(群状保持),ha当たり10本,50本,100本の広葉樹を単木的に残した伐採地(単木保持),広葉樹老齢木を残した伐採地,伐採前の人工林の7種類の異なる林分状況からなる写真を刺激として,非専門家が伐採地に懐く風景的価値(認知・評価)を調べ,さらに非専門家と専門家間で生物多様性の保全および林業としての経済的合理性に対する伐採地の評価を比較した。その結果,1) 非専門家は皆伐や老齢木保持をポジティブに認知する一方で,群状保持はネガティブに認知する可能性があること,2) 非専門家は樹木の伐採に抵抗感があるため,主伐の実施にあたってはその必要性や生態系保全への配慮,植林の実施等の情報を供与し理解を求めることが有効であること,3) 林業としての経済的合理性の評価については,非専門家と専門家の間にギャップがあり,非専門家の理解を得るためには情報交換や議論を重ねる必要があることなどが明らかになった。

Public confidence in the police has become an important issue in many countries because high levels of trust and confidence can allow the public to believe the police organisation is accountable and legitimate. Much empirical research on public attitudes towards policing is available in Western countries, and it has been revealed that community policing can affect the levels of trust and confidence in the police both positively and negatively. Using data from an online survey, this article seeks to address the impact of community policing on public trust and confidence in the Japanese police. The results of a series of hierarchical multiple regression models demonstrated that being female, participating in crime prevention and self-defence classes are associated with high levels of trust in the police, while being liberal and experiencing police-initiated contact are associated with low levels of trust in the police. The implications of the findings for theory, research, and policing policy and practice are discussed.

子供が被害者となる声かけやつきまといなどの前兆事案は,子供から保護者に被害が伝わったとしても,保護者が警察や学校に被害を連絡しないことによって被害が暗数化し,事案への対応が遅れることが懸念される.本研究では,保護者の子供の前兆事案被害情報に関する警察や学校への連絡意図を形成する要因の解明を目的とした.ウェブアンケート調査により得られた,ある政令指定都市に住み,小中学生を第一子に持つ20歳から59歳の男女(n=518)のデータを用いて順序ロジスティック回帰分析を行った.その結果,事案の深刻さや連絡の効果,連絡の自己効力感の認知が保護者の警察・学校への連絡意図に正の関連を持つことが明らかになった.

特殊詐欺抑止において,市民が特殊詐欺と思われる事案に遭遇した場合に,その事実を迅速に他者に伝えることの有効性が指摘されている.そこで本研究は,詐欺電話等の接触があった際に,警察,行政,地縁組織,近隣住民に対する市民の情報提供意図を高める要因を明らかにすることを目的とした.特に,情報提供行動と平時における備えを検討するために,日常の地域や家族との関わりが情報提供行動を促進する可能性を検討した.特殊詐欺における情報提供行動が期待できる世帯類型である高齢者夫婦のみ世帯を対象とする質問紙調査を行い,874世帯の夫婦それぞれから回答を得た(n=1748).マルチレベルSEMによる分析を行い,情報提供の意図を高める心理プロセスのモデル検証した.その結果,平時におけるまちづくりへの参加意識が情報提供意図を高め,また夫婦間のコミュニケーションがまちづくりへの参加意識を高める可能性があることを明らかにした.

本稿は川手昭二筑波大学名誉教授のオーラル・ヒストリー(口述史)であり、筑波大学社会工学関連組織(社会工学類、社会工学専攻、社会工学域。略称は「社工」)の歴史を記録することを目的とした「社会工学オーラル・ヒストリープロジェクト」として、大学院生を中心とした有志のグループが企画・実施したものである。インタビューは・2018年4月4日於都筑区民センター【聞き手:大山、讃井、辻本、仲村】・2018年11月9日於川手昭二先生ご自宅【大山、讃井、辻本、仲村】・2019年1月18日於同上【大山、讃井、仲村】の3回にわたって実施した。編集は大山、讃井が、編集のチェックは仲村、黒田翔(筑波大学大学院)が行った。本活動に係る費用の一部は筑波大学社会工学類広報委員会より助成を受けた。
