Georgetown in Penang Island, Malaysia, has the largest surviving ensembles of traditional shophouses with the original town plan maintained in Southeast Asia. These shophouses have been protected under the Rent Control Act of 1966. Since the year 2000 the Repeal Control of Act has changed the situation of real estate. The largest change was due to the soaring rent. Perhaps it will due to the tearing down of the shophouses of the new developments of urban housing in it's place. The focus of this thesis will be on four types of shophouses from four different periods of time. This report will show the past and present usage of buildings, construction space and town district. As for a result three point became clear. 1) Appearance and disappearance of the balcony 2) Remodelling the back court 3) Change of related characteristic of public space and private space.

<p> 疲労き裂に対する補修・補強を行う際,発見したき裂の大きさ,特に深さを把握することが重要である.き裂先端近傍の応力分布の強さを示す物理量である応力拡大係数(K値)は,き裂深さの情報を含むため,現場にて簡易にK値を推定出来れば,推定したK値からき裂深さの推定が可能である.</p><p> そこで本研究では,き裂先端のひずみ分布に基づく非貫通き裂に対するK値の推定方法と,推定したK値による,き裂深さの推定手法について検討した.初めに,き裂形状および鋼板寸法をパラメーターとした数値解析を実施し,K値に基づくき裂深さの推定手法を提案した.次に,提案手法の実用性を検証するため,引張試験片による疲労試験を実施した.その結果,き裂形状に依らず,誤差28%以内の精度にて,非貫通き裂のき裂深さの推定ができる可能性を示した.</p>

In the past 20 years, Japan's innovation eco-system surrounding industries have been dynamically changed. The most eminent ones are various institutional development for facilitating collaboration among industries and academia for more co-working and co-creation, and encouragement of start-ups and other forms of open innovations. On the other hand, there is a view that "Disruptive innovation is stagnated in Japan compared with other countries," and it is true that US and European companies take an advantageous position in new business creation in the field of ICT, such as AI, big data, and Fintech, although some of their technologies are Japan in origin. Under such a circumstance, the authors summarize the current situation and challenges of Japan's innovation eco-system surrounding industries, for achieving important agenda such as Society 5.0, Sustainable Development Goals of United Nations, and activation of local economies, then compile policy implications and proposals.

こどもの外遊びを回復させるために、日本の伝統的空間である縁側に着目した。そして、縁側のある保育施設で観察調査し分析することにより、「外遊びに展開しやすい縁側」について提案した。縁側が活発に使われている保育園では、幅が広く(約2m以上)、通行しやすく、室内と広くつなげられていた。また、保育室面積の大小に関わらず、こどもたちは自ら縁側に出て遊んでいた。滞留が多い縁側ほど保育室や園庭との出入りも多くなる。また、縁側の回遊性や園庭と積極的につなげるような形状も、縁側における滞留や通行を促すので外遊びへの展開に寄与するといえる。
