新潟県内の民家を高齢者福祉施設に転用した3事例について、2005年から2011年までの建物や運営内容の変化を明らかにした。うちの実家では、高齢者だけでなく幅広い世代の利用ができるよう、運営内容や家具配置を変化させている。かじまちの家では、大規模な改修により、デイサービスの利便性向上と地域利用の促進がはかられている。村上市コミュニティ・デイホームでは、町家の構成や運営内容に変化は見られない。

信濃川下流域の<万年>においてその空間構成を把握した。<万年>は寛永20年(1643)までに開発された万年新田八か村のひとつに数えられる。明治27年(1894)の地籍図をみると生産域が分散していたとわかる。居住域と生産域は水路によって繋がっていた。本家・分家関係をみると居住域がムラミチの両側から始まり広がってきたとわかった。屋敷をみるとオモテからウラへ通り抜けることのできる通路があり、それと対応して農舎やシモグチなどが配置されている。

The purpose of this research is to grasp the relationship between subsidy programme to preserve traditional colonnade and inhabitants’ mind. The results are as follows; 1) 90% of inhabitants thinks the programme to be continued. 2) The programme meets demands particular to each local community. 3) The programme evokes inhabitants’ action to colonnade. 4) Local authorities revise the programme according to inhabitants’ mind.

In this study we attempt to explain villages of the Tonami Plain having a pattern of dispersed dwellings. Described in this paper as "dispersed villages" the pattern is not resulting from a cause and effect relationship, but rather as a generative system. We further attempt to make dear the spatial composition of the dispersed villages. First we divided all the villages into five categories, and looked at various areas of distribution and considered the corresponding location characteristics and development periods. Next we chose typical examples of each type, and analyzed their territorial configurations. As a result we realized that each type seemed to have a unique territorial configuration.

町家は日常の生活空間としてだけでなく、年中行事や通過儀ネLを行う空間として機能してきた。新潟県上越市高田仲町通りにおいて、儀礼の際の町家の空間利用を見ることにより、町と町家のつながりについて明らかにする。結婚式では一軒の町家、葬式では向こう三軒両隣、祗園祭りでは町内を空間の単位として利用している。儀ネLに応じて空間の単位を使い分け、町とのつながりを変化させることにより、町家は様々な場面に対応している。

機械除雪の導入によって通りの雪の一掃が行われるようになる昭和40年(1965)頃までは、大雪の際に雁木と雁木をつなぐ役割を果たしたユキロウカや、共同作業によって除雪を行った雪引きなど、雁木通りにおける雪処理を介した共同利用があった。敷地内における雪処理では、町家の空間構成や敷地の利用状況に合わせた雪処理が各住戸で行われる。また、間口の狭い町家や角地の町家では雪処理における敷地裏の共用がみられる。

上越市高田の町家の空間構成と接客時の室の利用から、町家内部における接客空間の特徴を明らかにすることを目的とする。町家の用途や来客の種類によらずチャノマは接客に使用される。トオリニワが主屋裏まで通り抜けており客をチャノマまで迎え入れる。そこを玄関として家にあげている。また、チャノマは吹抜けの空間で梁組をみせ、ワタリロウカや差鴨居、ザシキとの間の板戸は漆が塗られている。これらの意匠を上部に設けられた高窓からの採光で照らしている。このようにチャノマは接客の場にふさわしい構えとなっている。

日本の伝統的な街路や水路沿いの景観である、上越市高田の「雁木通」、柳川市の「掘割水路」、国分寺市の新田村「並木道」を対象とし、その景観を、住まいと公的空間との間で利用と所有の関係が調整された結果もたらされたものと捉え、それが現在まで持続してきた住み手の側の論理を把握した。屋敷地の利用、建物や樹木の配置に、住居と共用空間の相補関係が表れている。
