This article studies the relationship between Festival and Scenery in Oku-Noto. This paper reports the results of the investigation of Kiriko Festival, as one of the processes to study the scenery of Oku-Noto. Subjects of the investigation are eleven festivals; those of Mozu, Uedo, Zike, Shoin, Ushima, Hikisuna-Konami, Noroshi, Oya, Kawaura, and Orito. This paper compares them in terms of the routes of portable shrines and the ways in which people posture to celebrate. This study shows that they are almost similar. However, Noroshi Kiriko Festival and Zike Kiriko Festival are found to have some distinctive ways of posturing. The further study is to deal with Kiriko Festival more deeply in order to discuss the scenery in Oku-Noto.
