本研究では,センサーや統計等を通じては獲得できない社会的事象の抽出と活用の可能性調査を目的として,犯罪情報を対象に Twitter 投稿の分析をおこなった.分析を通じ,(1) Twitter 上の犯罪関連投稿には,投稿者自身の犯罪の目撃や被害に関する投稿,公共・公的機関が発表した情報等を引用した投稿,ニュース記事の引用という3種類が存在すること,(2) それらの間で記述されている犯罪種別傾向の違いから,Twitter からのみ抽出できる犯罪情報が存在していること,が分かった.また,犯罪関連投稿を自動抽出する実験結果についても報告する.We analyzed criminal Twitter posts. The purpose is to investigate the possibility of extraction of various social phenomena which can not be acquired by a sensor or statistical prediction. Through the analysis, our findings are: (1) There are three types of criminal tweets: user's experience, announce by public institution, and cited news article. (2) By analyzing the difference between these three types of criminal tweets, there may be criminal information existing only on Twitter. We also show the result of an experiment to extract criminal tweets automatically.

情報通信技術を基盤とするさまざまな表現メディアが私たちの社会の表現活動を広げている.しかし,それらを受け入れられるフィールドはビジネスと個人そして大学だけである.いま,メディアはミュージアムや学校や地域のコミュニティなどパブリックな社会をフィールドにできていない.例えば,小学校に導入された電子黒板は学年の共用教室に置かれ,学び手たちの道具になっていない.表現活動をかたちづくる文化的プログラムの不在.著者らはそれが原因のひとつにあると考えている.技術システムと文化的プログラムをカップリングし,車の両輪として研究開発している,ミュージアム活動を変革するためのデザインを報告する.Various expression activities with the media based on Information Communication Technology have been expanded in our society. However the fields of the activities are limited to business and private. The media are not sufficiently accepted by public activities on social learning or local communities. For example, electronic black boards installed into classrooms of elementary schools by governmental treatment have not been succeeded enough in many cases. The reason why the cases happened is lack of Cultural Programs with the media. This paper shows a new design approach with coupling of Technological System and the Cultural Program into one platform for an innovation on museum activities.

Web of Data というコンセプトのもと,ウェブ上で計算機処理可能なデータを分散的に生成し,それを互いにリンクさせることにより,共有財としてのデータベース資源を確立するという試み,それが Linked Open Data である.その特質を活用し,これまで行政が単独で担ってきた情報収集,分析とそれを生かした政策実現,住民サービス実施を分担するという試みが始まっている.本論文では,住民コミュニティと行政の連携を通じたボトムアップ型オープンガバメントの試みについて紹介し,ウェブ標準技術が共有財の創出と受益者の拡大にどのように貢献できるかについて検討する.

知識集約型組織では、経営戦略上の各種の意思決定に有用な知識や洞察を生み出すために、企業内外の事実に基づく情報を組織的にかつ系統的に蓄積・分析し、それを活用することが求められている。我々は一つの例として研究所がどんな研究をしているのかを見える化し、営業・SEが研究所の技術を探せる/発見があるようにするために、社内外の文書、展示会、人物、組織、技術、研究、ソリューション等に関するデータを Linked Data 化するとともに、この Linked Data を活用するツールを作成した。ツール作成にあたっては、探索の効率化のためのネットワーク表示機能、知識を増殖したり維持管理するための集合知活用などを取り入れた。To produce useful knowledge and insight for making various decisions on corporate strategies, it's important for knowledge-intensive organizations to exploit intelligence generated by systematically accumulating and analyzing information based on facts inside and outside of enterprises. We have produced Linked Data from data sources including documents, exhibitions, persons, organizations, technologies, researches, solutions, etc., inside and outside our company, and developed a browser for navigating Linked Data. When we were developing the browser, important considerations were to display network diagrams for exploring linked data efficiently and to utilize collective intelligence for accumulating and managing knowledge.

In Africa, there are many countries where the official languages are written in Latin scripts, because of their historical formation. But their own writing systems has been developed since 19-20th century, and some of them are proposed to the international standards. The famous example is N'Ko script standardized in 2006. In this report, the status of the standardization for the scripts that are not standardized yet (Vah, Kpelle, Loma, Garay, Bete etc) is summarized.In Africa, there are many countries where the official languages are written in Latin scripts, because of their historical formation. 本報告では,文献資料を用いた研究用ツール SMART-GS について紹介する.人文学研究において扱われる手書き文献資料は,そもそもそれらの判読・翻刻自体が困難な場合が多く,読み解く過程が研究において重要である.したがって,これらの文献画像を文字認識等の技術を用いて文字化することを前提とする方法論では,それらの過程の支援にはならない.そこで林は,文献画像を文字化せず画像のまま扱う 「画像化主義」 を提唱した.SMART-GS は,文献資料を画像のまま扱い,類似画像検索等の機能を用いて関連記述を動的に抽出することが可能なツールである.本報告では,SMART-GS の概要を使用例などを示しながら紹介するとともに,現在開発が進められている複数研究者らが使うことを前提とした 「協働型」 への拡張について述べる.This report introduces a tool that supports researchers to decipher digital document images. In humanities research, reference to primary historical documents is vital. However, the accuracy of existing tools based on OCR text recognition is not good enough for their users, especially researchers in historical fields who handle handwritten materials. Hayashi proposed an alternative approach to handle not textualized contents from materials but images. SMART-GS uses an image search engine to find similar figures to the designated key image. In this report, an outline and some use cases of SMART-GS are described. In addition, the design of collaborative SMART-GS to support group works of deciphering is overviewed.
