単語了解度試験用の単語リストの構築にあたって, 日常会話の聴き取りも含めた音声聴取能力をより正確に評価することを目指すには, 単語の難易度を統制することが望ましい。また, 補聴器適合の評価などの臨床応用を考えたときには, 限定された単語数で, 音韻バランスがよく取れた単語リストを作成することが実用上重要である。本論文では, 難易度の指標として親密度を用いてこれを統制し, また語頭の音韻バランスだけではなく, 語中の音韻バランスも考慮した単語了解度試験用単語リストの作成手法を提案する。また, 実際にこの方法を用いて, 親密度を4段階にパラメータ化して統制した単語リストの構築を行った。この単語リストは, 1枚50単語からなり, 各親密度段階について各20枚, 計80枚のリストから構成されている。更に, リストの妥当性を確認するための聴取実験を行った結果, 単語了解度が親密度を変えることによって系統的に変化することが示された。

視覚情報が環境音知覚に及ぼす影響について調べることを目的とし, 刺激音を指示する際に, 対応する映像も同時に指示して評価実験を行った。その結果から各刺激の因子得点を求め, 以前に行った音のみを指示した実験から得た因子得点と比較することにより, 視覚情報が環境音の評価に及ぼす影響を検討した。その結果, 音の明るさ因子を除く各因子について, 映像の付加による影響が見られた。各因子ごとにその影響について検討したところ, 映像を手掛かりとして音場・音源を認識することにより, その音に対して元々抱いていたイメージが与られることが, 実際に提示された刺激音の評価に影響を及ぼしていることが明らかとなった。また, 映像と音情報との整合性や映像の動きが聴覚的な評価に影響を及ぼすことが示された。

It has been shown that HRTFs (Head Related Transfer Functions) are important cues for judging the absolute auditory distance of a single sound image when the sound source is close to the listener. In order to investigate the role of HRTFs in auditory distance perception more generally, not only the absolute distance of a single sound image but also the relative distances among multiple sound images should be considered. From this point of view, two kinds of psychoacoustical experiments on absolute and relative distance perception were conducted with the same source signals for stimuli. Comparison of the results of the two experiments showed that while the absolutely judged distance of a sound image increases with the actual distance of sound source up to around 1.2 m, the results of the relative auditory distance perception showed that the perceived distance significantly increases up to 2〜3 m. This difference may be attributable to some perceptual information stored in a short-term memory provided by the comparison of auditory distances between multiple sound images, which could offer an additional cue in relative distance perception, and it may be effective to improve the resolution of the distance perception of sound images at longer distance than the limitation in absolute distance perception.

本研究では, 環境音の知覚を探ることを目的として, 従来の研究で用いられてきた「音色を表現する評価語」に加え, 「音を聞いた際に人がいだく感情を表現する評価語」と「音の持つ情報に関する評価語」を用いた評価実験を行った。実験は, 66種類の刺激音と, 39種の評価語対を用い, SD法により行った。実験結果を因子分析した結果, 第一〜第三因子として, 「美的」, 「明るさ」, 「量的」という音色の3因子に相当する因子が得られた。また, それらとは独立に, 「音の定位情報に関する因子」, 「音源情報に関する因子」, 「音の存在意義に関する因子」, 「懐古・郷愁因子」が得られた。更に, 人が音を聞いた際にいだく感情は, 音の美的因子と相関があることが分かった。

In this paper, we carried out a subjective evaluation on the perceptual difference in female speech to show the gender difference in its likability and analyzed a relationship between the acoustic features and subjective scores. This subjective evaluation used female speech uttered by 21 speakers as the stimuli, and 127 subjects (47 males and 80 females) attended it. The results suggested that there was the speech preferred without the gender difference and preferred by one gender. We then analyzed the correlation between subjective scores and five acoustic features: fundamental frequency, formant frequency, amplitude difference, spectral centroid and spectral tilt. In female subjects, statistically significant correlations were observed in all features. In male subjects, significant correlation was observed only in spectral tilt. In particular, correlation in spectral tilt showed the inverse trend between male and female subjects. These results suggest that the spectral tilt is effective in the gender difference.

親密度と音韻バランスを統制した単語リストを用いた単語了解度試験を実施し,モーラ位置ごとの正答率に及ぼす親密度の影響を調査した。その結果,試験語が実単語であることを被験者に教示しない場合でも,単語了解度に親密度の影響が見られ,更に,第1モーラの正答率は,低親密度単語では単音節明瞭度と同程度であるのに対し,高親密度単語では単音節明瞭度より高くなることが示された。本結果は,非単語の回答を許すような聴取実験を行う際にも,親密度が結果に影響を及ぼすため,試験単語の親密度の統制が必要であることを示唆する。

音を聴取した際に知覚する臨場感は,録音再生の対象となる音によって,またその録音再生系の特性によって異なる.本報告では,それぞれをコンテンツ臨場感とシステム臨場感と称し,基本特性を実験的に検討した結果を紹介する.シェッフェの一対比較法による聴取実験の結果,音源が移動する音などについてコンテンツ臨場感が高いことが示された.また,システム臨場感については,良好な音像定位が得られることが高臨場感に必須であることが示された.さらに,コンテンツ臨場感とシステム臨場感を比較した結果から,両者は同等に重要であることが示された.その他に,視覚情報や再生音圧レベルが臨場感に及ぼす影響についても検討したので紹介する.

Vertical orientation on the ventriloquism effect inherent to flat panel display televisions has been evaluated. The stimuli were an image of a metronome and its accompanying sound. These evaluations were aimed at understanding the extent of the effect during real use. The results show that with loudspeakers placed in a low position the effect was too minor to lift a sound image to the upper part on the screen.
