The purpose of this study is to clarify the changes of water usage and consciousness of water-saving in Fukuoka-city by comparing the past investigation results in 1989 with those in 1999 passed 20 years from the big water shortage, and to collect the basic data for the planning of effective water usage in houses. In this paper, we clarified the factors of distinction between the results of investigation in 1989 and those in 1999 for detached houses and apartment houses respectively. And we analyzed quantitatively the changes of the factors affecting the volume of water consumption and so on.

標準住宅モデルを対象にCFD解析によってルームエアコンでのスリット開口による全館暖冷房方式における温熱環境および空気流分布の評価を行い、エアコンの設置位置や床や天井の開口率によって温熱環境が異なることが分かった。冬期暖房時、床下でのエアコンの位置や向きは、いくつかの場合で基礎構造が空気の流れを遮ることがあるため、重要な要素である。1階の開口率を小さく、2階をより大きな開口率とすることが住居全体の均一な温熱環境につながった。

ダクトレス全館暖房における換気手法の違いによる温熱環境および空気環境をCFD解析により評価した。個別方式から集中方式とすることで、高負荷時では、個別方式の局所的な温熱不快箇所の改善が確認できた。一方、低負荷時では、集中方式での空気環境の悪化がみられた。以上より、ダクトレス全館暖房では、負荷率により変動する吹出風量を踏まえた上で、温熱環境および空気環境の両面において適切な換気手法とすることが重要であることが示された。

The presentation technology about architectural design has been developed in recent years. Virtual Reality as one of the newest method which was born from the modern technology, has been used at practical design. In addition, some of the universities had set up VR laboratories for design education. Compared to the traditional method using 2D drawings and models for presentation, VR will be expected to understand the space more easily without specialized knowledge, and it will be more useful for improving the designers’ ability. Therefore, in order to grasp the designers’ awareness about the applicability of VR Space, we conducted a hearing survey with 12 university professors in Chugoku region who worked in the field of architectural design or design education. According to the results, many of the professors thought “Scale feeling” was “the ability to measure the distance with the eyes”, and they had negative viewpoints about to learn “Scale feeling” in VR space, such as “It is difficult to understand the distance in VR Space” or “Drawing by hand is more useful to nurture the scale feeling than VR”. Therefore, this research was focused on the “Scale feeling”, and conducted an experiment to verify the effectiveness of VR by comparing the learning effect about “Scale feeling” in “VR Space” with “Real Space”. The procedure of this experiment, first, for grasping the original “Scale feeling” of subjects, the subjects were asked to answer the length of 15 objects in Test Space. Then, the subjects were divided into two groups to learn “Scale feeling” in two types of learning spaces. One group learned in “VR Space” and another group learned in “Real Space”. After learning, the subjects came back to “Test Space” and answered the length of 15 objects as the same manner at first. The difference between the “Answered length” and “Actual length” in “Test Space” was defined as the “Inaccuracy”. Finally, we compared the learning effects by the average and the standard deviation in “Inaccuracy” between the two groups. The degree of “Inaccuracy” reduction was similar. Therefore, the “Scale feeling” can be developed in VR space as same as Real space. Although, in “VR space”, the objects which have no actual shape have a larger standard deviation of the “Inaccuracy” than “Real Space”, we considered that it’s more difficult to grasp the distance between objects without shape in “VR space”. For the future research, we will consider in more detail based on the visual characteristics of the learning method.

The purpose of this study is to obtain the basic information for the improvement of regional environment by electric-pole elimination project in Japan. The questionnaire survey was carried out to local governments. The contents consisted of the main methodology of project, the general criteria of the road selection and their priority, the inhabitant opinions of project, etc. Followings are the results. The economic condition of a government has a large influence on the embarkation and the continuation of project. Major roads in cities have been the main subjects of project. On the contrary, the importance of scenic beauty increases as the criteria. In small towns not urbanized, projects tend to be executed because of the conservation of traditional streetscapes, the incorporation of barrier free design, and so on. On the other hand, in large cities, project often be executed as a part of road construction.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the operating conditions of two kinds of domestic electric appliances which are a washing machine and a clothes dryer installed in a bathroom. Based on the measurements of electric power consumption in the 100 electrified housing located in Hiroshima area, 39 washing machines and 35 clothing dryers were examined. The operating conditions of the appliances varied in the frequencies of operation, the operating hours and the starting time of operation. Especially, the conditions of the operation with drying function differed from those without drying function. The housing was classified into several clusters by the Cluster analysis based on the starting time of operation. Each cluster showed different tendencies on the operating conditions.

The purpose of this study is to identify the attributes of Semi-Outdoor space which is better to stay for a short time. In this paper, "AMA-YADORI" is focused as one of the actions in Semi-Outdoor space to get out of the rain. The psychological experiment was conducted based on the results of the questionnaire survey carried out to obtain the actual conditions of "AMA-YADORI". In the experiment, the subjects were asked to evaluate 40 photographs of Semi-Outdoor spaces taken in Hiroshima City. The evaluation tendencies of the comprehensive and individual evaluation items and image evaluation items were shown and the relationships among these evaluations were examined. Furthermore, the physical attributes of Semi-Outdoor spaces preferred for "AMA-YADORI" were clarified based on the relationships between the psychological evaluation and the physical attributes.

1年間にわたり測定した複合商業施設内飲食店舗における使用水量データをもとに,経時的な使用水量の変動傾向を解析し,各店舗の水使用実態を明らかにした。得られた結果をもとに水使用モデルを作成し,モンテカルロ・シミュレーション手法を用いて給水負荷の算定を行った。はじめに,1分間隔で測定した使用水量データの時系列的な取り扱いについて検討を行った。また,時間使用水量と来客者数の関係について,1日の来客状況調査を実施し,両者の関連について考察した。さらに,年間休日の時間平均使用水量の変動パターンを用い,店舗の水使用パターンの類型化を行った。最後に,各種店舗の厨房内における水使用モデルとして,吐水時間,吐水流量,水使用頻度からなる負荷算定モデルを作成し,全店舗を合計した時系列的給水負荷の算定を行った。

In this paper, the energy consumption of the electrified housing located in Hiroshima area was grasped, and the relationships between the energy consumption by hot water supply system and the housing attributes of residents were examined. To predict the annual and monthly energy consumption, the Quantity Theory Cluster I was applied. Based on the analysis, the factors affecting to the energy consumption were clarified, and the influence of energy consumption was compared among the factors.As for the predictive equations for energy consumption, the multiple correlation coefficients of annual value and monthly values were explained with 0.852 and 0.740-0.827 respectively. Also, it was clarified that “types of water heater” had major influence on energy consumption throughout a year, and “number of frequency for filling hot water into a bathtub in winter” and “age of the first child of the family” had influence in winter season.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the techniques for evaluating river environment. Therefore, this paper is presented a technique based on people's opinions and sense as the first installment of this study. The questionnaires on living and river environment were executed to the dwellers at the 21 districts in Hiroshima City, the lower reach in the Ota. On these results, the structures of evaluation on living and river environment are clarified by using the factor analysis, and the 21 districts and river spaces are classified on the properties of evaluation of environment. Analysing the relation between the comprehensive and the conservative evaluation on living and river environment, the importance of the existence of river environment, especially as scenic and natural resources, is pointed out for the amenity of living environment in urban areas. As to the relation between evaluation and indexes composing the environment, the multiple regression models are described, and we find that the properties of evaluation are affected by the surrounding environment indexes.

We considered the structure of the evaluation of river environment by the people's opinions and sense based on the questionnaires executed in 9 municipalities on the basins of the Nagara, the Chikugo and the Shimanto, and mainly analysed the conservation of river environment and the accessibility to river. Now, the Part 1 on this study analysed the evaluation of living environment in the same regions. The contents of this paper are as follows. 1) We showed the properties of river environment in the 9 regions of the upper reaches, the middle reaches and the lower reaches. 2) We analysed the people's behaviours of recreation in and around the rivers. 3) As to the conservation of river environment and the accessibility to river, we analysed the people's evaluation concerning the nature of river, landscape, artificiality and playing area with water. 4) Using the factor analysis, we selected 3 and 2 common factors from the results of the people's evaluation on the conservation and the accessibility. And we evaluated the regions with the average factor scores in each factor. 5) Using 3 items for comprehensive evaluation of river enviornment, we showed the results of the people's opinions in each region. And we analysed the relation between the comprehensive, conservative evaluation and the people's properties, using the Quantity Theory Cluster III. 6) We clarified the river images by the Semantic Differential Technique using the 30 pairs of adjectives. Using the factor analysis, we selected 4 common factors from these results, and evaluated the regions with the average factor scores in each factor. 7) As to the above mentioned contents on each evaluation, we showed the correlation matrix, and showed the relation between the scores of evaluation and the selected indexes of river environment.
