The purpose of this study was to compare the benefit of the "calm-down space: COZY Room" between children with severe motor and intellectual disabilities (SMID group) and children with mental retardation (MR group) by using an analytical instrument for salivary amylase activity (sAMY) as biochemical markers. The participants of this study were 12 SMID children and 12 MR children. This study was an experimental research using a mixed model design. The author collected their saliva samples and measured pre/post-sAMY before and after they used the "COZY Room". These data ware analyzed using two-way repeated measures ANOVA, and the results showed that the interaction effect between "disability group" and "time" was significant (F(1, 22)=5.57, p<.05). The assessment with Bonferroni multiple comparison procedure showed that post-sAMY of MR group was significantly lower than: (1) pre-sAMY of MR group and; (2) post-sAMY of SMID group. These indicate that "COZY Room" had different effects to SMID group and MR group in this present study, thus, additional examinations with quantitative and qualitative methods were recommended to describe the experiences of using the "calm-down space" in detail.

Many of the children with comprehensive educational needs (Inclusive Needs Child: IN-Child) have the needs that listening ability. In this study, in order to examine the teaching method to improve the ability to listen to IN - Child, we analyzed the influence of characteristics similar to attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) on listening ability. As the results, it became clear that children with inattention or characteristics similar to ADHD have needs that "misunderstanding the story and fail to hear", "difficulty to discussion" and "difficulty to listen simultaneous instruction". In addition, it became clear that children with characteristics similar to ASD have needs that "mis listening the sounds" and "difficulty to discussion". Based on the findings from this study, it is expected that teaching methods for IN-Child with characteristics similar to ADHD or ASD will be developed.

The present study examined influences of trait meta-mood on memory bias in non-clinical depression. University students (N = 32) participated in individual experiments using the process-dissociation procedure, which can separate the contributions of automatic and controlled processing on memory performance. Participants studied positive and negative personality trait words by rating the self-descriptiveness of each word. Then they recalled the words based on presented cues in the repeated, two test condition, the inclusion test condition, and the exclusion test condition, in counterbalanced order. Then, the participants completed the Multiple Mood Scale Short version, Trait-Meta Mood Scale, and the Beck Depression Inventory. The probability of a positive, or a negative studied word automatically coming to mind, or the probability of consciously recollecting the words were calculated by using process-dissociation procedure equations. A two-way factorial analysis of variance was conducted to separately determine the influences of depression. Results indicated that the probability of automatic processing was significantly higher in depressed participants for positive than for negative words, indicating a mood-incongruent memory bias in depression. However, depression did not influence the probability of controlled processing. Then, the moderating, or mediating roles of trait meta-mood on the memory bias in depression was analyzed. The results indicated that attitudes taking account of the mood might moderate the relationship between depression and memory. These results suggest the possibility that an unconscious, mood-incongruent memory bias in non-clinical depression might prevent the progression of depression. The findings are discussed in terms of preventive effects of mindfulness and acceptance.

This study aimed to qualitatively clarify the subjective effect of adding music to promote long-term care preventive exercises. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 18 participants who are undergoing long-term care preventive exercises with music in Town A. The data were analyzed using the KJ method. The results indicated three subjective effects: 1)the subjective effect of addition of music, 2) the subjective effect on long-term care preventive exercises, and 3) the subjective effect of community activities of the older residents. The subjective effects of addition of music, long-term care preventive exercises, and community activities of older residents interacted with and promoted each other. These results indicate that adding music promotes the effect of long-term care preventive exercises. Adding music is also useful for establishing and maintaining the community activities of older residents.

In Japan, the declining birthrate and aging population is serious, and the consolidation and elimination of small-scale schools are proceeding in depopulated area. As inclusive education is being promoted, we believe that clarifying the superiority of inclusive education at small-scale schools will maximize the merits of small-scale schools. In this study, we compared Inclusive Education Assessment of small-scale schools with appropriate-scale schools on points of view of amount and quality. From January to March 2016, we conducted a questionnaire survey to 17 special support education coordinators working at elementary and junior high schools in the Yaeyama area. Small-scale school’s score was higher than appropriate-scale schools on “Security of rights” and “Improvement of curriculum”. With respect to the average point comparison of each item, the small-scale schools for all items were comparable or higher than that for the appropriate-scale schools. There were qualitative differences in practice between small-scale schools and appropriate-scale schools on grounds of practical cases. We clarified Inclusive Education Assessment of small scale schools was better than appropriate scale schools. Additionally, we clarified high level educational activity was practiced in small-scale schools. We hope that this study will be an opportunity to maximize the merit of small-scale schools all around the country.

Based on the previous research by Yano and Han (2020), this study conducted a pretest for the development of the "School QOL Scale for Children" to evaluate the school life of children and the reliability and the validity of the scale was verified. As a result, 19 items in 4 areas were set by expert consultation regarding the composition of the scale. Regarding the question items, we asked for opinions on the content of the questions to be asked during the pretest for elementary and junior high school students, but there was no particular opinion. The pretest was conducted from February to March 2021 and 140 data were collected from elementary and junior high school students (recovery rate 100%). Of these, 136 data were analyzed, excluding missing values. In the reliability verification of the scale, the Cronbach's α value was calculated using internal consistency. As a result, the α value of the region was 0.645 to 0.842, and the overall α value was 0.890 and α > 0.700, confirming the reliability. Next, as a result of verifying the validity of the construct using SEM, GFI = 0.839, CFI = 0.883, and RMSEA = 0.072, which are not high goodness of fit. In the future, it will be necessary to conduct an unbiased survey of elementary and junior high school students who will be evaluated by the scale and expand the number of data to be analyzed to re-verify the validity of the constructs that could not be obtained in this study.

In this study, I conducted a survey, “Fact-finding Survey of Employment persons with disabilities in Corporate” on January to March 2015 to clarify the status of employment persons with disabilities in Corporate. I sent questionnaires to 1,292 corporate and received responses from 122 corporate (response rate of 9.4%). The result of investigation about concern of employment of persons with disabilities, it is reason why corporate didn’t employed persons with disabilities to ‘Workplace adaptation of persons with disabilities (83.8%)’, ‘Understanding of Healthy people (52.5%)’ and ‘Work ability of persons with disabilities(40.4%)’. On the other hand, the companies that employing persons with disabilities evaluate about the impact such as ‘Achieve the quota employment rate (87.5%)’, ‘Improvement of corporate image(65.4%)’, ‘Improvement Moral of a healthy persons (34.6%)’ and ‘Productivity improved by division of labor(30.8%)’. However, in most companies, do not have a system to comprehensively assess the impact such as ‘Achieve the quota employment rate’, ‘Improvement of corporate image’, ‘Improvement Moral of a healthy persons’ and ‘Productivity improved by division of labor’ Based on the above analysis results, I suggested following issues. It is necessary to disclosure information about the positive impact of employment persons with disabilities on the organization. And, Evaluation system for companies that employing persons with disabilities is necessary to assess the impact of employment persons with disabilities.

The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the one-day stress load between the users and providers of day service. The subjects were 2 users (a man in his 50s with right hemiplegia and a man in his 70s with Parkinson's disease syndrome) and 2 providers (a physical therapist and manager, a man in his 40s and a nurse, a woman in her 40s). A salivary amylase monitor was used for measurement, which objectively measures stress based on the activity value of salivary amylase. The subjects underwent measurements of salivary amylase activity at the time of arrival at the facility (baseline) and continued to undergo measurements every 15 minutes thereafter until they returned home. In addition, there was a meal break from 12:00 to 14:00, leading to a possibility that the secretion in saliva was changed by the meal had; thus, it was excluded from the measured value. In order to confirm the stress load of users and providers, Welch’s t-test was performed with the user and target as independent variables and the values obtained by dividing each measured value by the baseline value as the dependent variables. The significance level was 5%. There was a significant difference in the salivary amylase activity between users of day service and providers (p <0.05). This study revealed that providers’ stress is higher than users’ stress, and providers’ stress increased with team meetings and patient transfers. This study suggests the importance of stress management for providers.

In order to form a symbiotic society in Japan and to realize inclusive education, which is an idea to learn together regardless of disability, it is urgent to actively hire teachers with disabilities even at school. However, since research on faculty with disabilities is said to have been conducted since the fiscal year 2019 onward, the actual situation has been investigated. And the current situation and issues regarding the employment of faculty with disabilities are almost unclear.Therefore, in this study, based on the viewpoint of improving the QOL (Quality of Life) of teachers with disabilities, we analyze the previous studies related to the employment of persons with disabilities at schools in Japan, and clarify the current situation and academic issues regarding the employment of teachers with disabilities. As a result of the analysis, many previous studies have been found in the area of "employment stability", but they also point out the current situation and it was revealed that further studies are needed. Moreover, in the "physical and mental health" area and the "life stability" area, there were very few cases applicable, and it became clear that research was not progressing.

Support for self-understanding has been recognized as an important support activities in vocational rehabilitation. In this study, in order to clarify meanings of support for self-understanding, I analyzed the relationship of support activities for self-understanding and client's meaning about spports. As the results of analysis, I got the 4 meanings of support for self-understanding; “to understand own current situation” “to gain self-confidence and make challenges” “to obtain the coping skills” “to obtain broad perspectives” The results are expected to be utilized as a hint or guidance for institutions to make supporting programs.

In special needs education, it is important to consider the psychology, physiology, and pathological aspects of children and students (Kohara, Nakakuroshima, Nagahama et al., 2015). Especially with regard to the education of children with health impairment, it is important to understand and provide educational support, as physiological and pathological diseases such as chronic diseases often affect psychological aspects. Therefore, in this research, clarify the problems of the previous researches on the relationship between “psychology, physiology and pathology” in education of the children with health impairment in Japan from the viewpoint of psychology and physiology and pathology. And also it aimed to become basic research to develop the teaching method based on the relationship. As a result, with regard to practical cases regarding support for children with health impairment and children with chronic diseases, in particular in the field of education and medical care, evaluation based on scientific evidence is carried out for evaluation regarding psychological , physiological and pathological viewpoints. There was no case. In the future, it will be necessary to develop tools that can establish the relationship between “psychology” , “physiology” and “pathology” in sick and chronically ill children. And in the development of the tool, the result of this research is considered to be useful to make the construct.

Scale for Coordinate Contiguous Career (Scale C<sup>3</sup>) was organized by Han, Numadate, Goya et al. (2018). Also, the content validity of the Scale C<sup>3</sup> has been verified, and a questionnaire to self-assessment for high school students version has been developed. In this study, a questionnaire to assessment from others for high school students and two questionnaires to assessment from self- and others for adults were developed. In addition, this study aimed to verify the reliability and construct validity of the Scale C<sup>3</sup>. Data were collected from high school students and adult subjects, of which self-assessment and others-assessment data were nearly equal. The reliability of the Scale C<sup>3</sup> was high in all domains of Scale C<sup>3</sup> (α=.707~.966). Also, the reliability of the whole Scale C<sup>3</sup> was very high(α=.976). As a result of validation for construct validity using structural equation modeling, a model showing a good fit was presented (χ<sup>2</sup>=463.924, <i>df </i>=78, TLI=.916, CFI=.945, RMSEA=.090, AIC=611.092). In this study, reliability and construct validity of Scale C<sup>3</sup> were verified, and scale development was completed. It is expected that Scale C<sup>3</sup> will be used as an objective assessment scale for continuous career development from the school education stage to adults.

At present, evaluation of “adaptive behavior” is regarded as important in intellectual disability, and it is considered that it is not difficult to manage daily life by providing appropriate educational support and social support (MEXT, 2013). People are affected by the environment and their psychology changes, leading to action. If they have a disorder, in addition to the psychological aspect, the physiological and pathological aspects are also affected. Therefore, for children with intellectual disabilities, higher educational effects can be expected by providing educational support in consideration of psychological, physiological, and pathological aspects.Therefore, in this research, by defining the definition and diagnostic criteria of mental disorders and organizing psychology, physiology, and pathological factors, 1) Examine whether the contents related to psychological, physiological, pathological changes are described in the diagnostic criteria or adaptive behavior. 2) In addition, from the point of the QOL of intellectual disabilities persons and the QOL of children, it examined what kind of domain is necessary when capturing the psychological, physiological, and pathological changes of children with intellectual disabilities.

The effects of different postures on dietary intake when children with severe motor and intellectual disabilities (SMID) eat school meals have yet to be investigated adequately. This study focuses on SMID who are fed through a combination of oral consumption and a nasal nutritional tube, and it compares their dietary intakes when given meals while held in posture by a teacher with those while seated in a cushioned chair. The results show that switching the children’s mealtime postures from one in which they are held to one in which they are sitting in a cushioned chair significantly increases their main and secondary meal intakes, and the children also become able to drink milk that they are unable to drink while being held. When seated in a cushioned chair, the children’s postures remain stable, and it is simple for teachers to assist them with their meals. It may be assumed that with a stable posture, the children’s appetites are not inhibited by stress being exerted on parts of their bodies or changes in posture, and therefore dietary intake increases. Meal intake is involved in children’s quality of life and health maintenance, and therefore it may be assumed that finding a posture suited to each individual child is crucial when assisting them with meals.
