Since the tourism is one of the main industry in the Southern Hokkaido area, the decrease of the number of tourists is the problem that needs to be solved. Since there are many attractive leisure activities in the Southern Hokkaido area, we propose the novel advertising method of the leisure activities of the Southern Hokkaido area. The purpose of this study is to develop a system which provides the simulated leisure activities to future tourists. In this paper, a remote fishing machine to provide a fishing simulation on ice is proposed as one of the winter leisure activity. The remote fishing machine consists of a controller rod and a fishing rod. In this system, a user operates the controller rod. And, then, the fishing rod is moved to follow the behavior of the controller rod. All behaviors of the developed system were desirable and the system makes it possible to catch fishes by user. Experimental results show that this system can let user experience pleasure of the fishing.

本研究の目的は、14~16世紀のアイヌ文化の状況を明らかにすることである。この時期は、近世のアイヌ文化の成立期であるが、文献史料と考古学資料が少ないため、状況がわかっていない。そのため、漢語・満洲語・日本語史料の調査を行うと同時に、遺物の成分分析や年代測定、それに遺跡の電磁探査など、さまざまな分析方法で情報を収集した。その結果、14~15世紀の北海道でカリ石灰ガラスのガラス玉が発見された。本州でほとんどガラス玉が出土しないので、アムール河下流域からの玉と考えられる。この時期は、元・明朝がアムール河下流域に進出した時期に重なるので、北方からの影響が強くアイヌ文化に及んだことが推定できる。

Several types of systems for disaster communications and networks have been studied to comprehend damage situations immediately in a heavy disaster. We have, however, been confronted with difficult issues to deploy the system actually in society, and it has not been raveled yet. To promote deployment of such a disaster resilience system, we have carried out an experimental study in the project-based learning program (PBL) of National Institute of Technology, Hakodate College (HNCT). Examining wireless mesh-networks called NerveNet, which was developed by the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), we set up the wireless networks experimentally in HNCT. Reviewing the requirements of local governments on disaster damage assessment, we propose an impetus model to deploy the disaster system in society by exploiting a regular educational program, PBL. This paper shows a testbed of wireless mesh-networks, which is configured with NerveNet and implementing required functions in web application forms.

奥州藤原氏は、約百年にわたって東北地方を支配した。その富の源泉は砂金である。世界遺産の中尊寺金色堂は、黄金に輝く建物で有名である。瀬川拓郎は、北海道のアイヌが交易品として砂金を平泉に持って行ったとする仮説を立てた。本研究の目的はその仮説の検証である。まず、北海道と東北地方の砂金を分析した。つぎに藤原秀衡の別邸の柳之御所遺跡から出土した遺物に付着した砂金を分析した。両者を比較することにより、北海道の砂金が平泉にもたらされていたかどうかを確認した。これまでの検討では、平泉から出土した砂金は岩手県産のものである可能性が高い。北海道から砂金が持ち込まれたとする仮説は証明できなかった。

The author translated " The Influence of Chinese Literature on Japanese Literature (簡論中国文学対日本文学的影響) " in the book titled "The collection of comparative literature study selected by the author (孟慶枢自選集) " written by Meng Qingshu (孟慶枢) , the professor of the College of Humanities at North East Normal University (東北師範大学・中国) (published by時代文芸出版社,2003) into Japanese. This essay consists of three chapters titled "From The Viewpoint of Chinese Classics in Japan, The Influence of China on Japanese Literature (従日本漢文学看中国対日本文学的影響) ", "From The Viewpoint of Japanese Classic Tales, The Influence of Chinese Literature on Japanese Literature (従物語文学看中国文学対日本文学影響) " and "Accumulation of Influence: The Influence of China on Japanese Modern Literature (影響的積淀:中国対日本近代文学的影響) ". The author also added simple comments at the beginning.

Natsume Soseki wrote "Travel Notes of Manchuria and Korea" in 1910. In this work has several phrases which are considered by some to be discriminatory examples being; such as "There are a lot of Chinese Coolies here. Looking at one Coolie makes me feel dirty, and looking at two Coolies makes me feel repulsed." With regard to such expressions, some Japanese researchers defend Soseki, but other researchers from former colonies have a critical attitude toward them. For example, one Japanese researcher, Tatsuo Aoyagi has said that we should not apply our present sense of human rights to Soseki's expressions in that work. He does not think that such phrases indicate that Soseki has a sense of discrimination. On the other hand, a Korean researcher Pak Yunhe and a Chinese researcher Wang Cheng insist that Soseki is discriminatory. However, an American researcher Joshua A.Fogel who has no direct relation with the colonial situation thinks that it is meaningless to consider whether Soseki had a good feeling or antipathy towards China. While taking their arguments into account, in this paper, the author discusses Soseki's so-called discriminatory expressions in his "Travel Notes of Manchuria and Korea", and presents the idea that the writing style, that is the Shaseibun-style may be cause of this discriminatory impression.

A lot of structures, such as a bridge, a tunnel, an expressway and a steel tower, which give the damage to the society by the destruction exist in this country. The safety inspection of the bolt used for those joining part is the work on which a lot of time is spent and is high-cost. The sensor which could easily visualize a destruction risk was developed by this study. The sensor consists of the first material, the second material and spring. The second material is installed for the first material in parallel, and one end is fixed. The second material has a fragile characteristic than the first material, under the elastic deformation or plastic deformation. When a joining part is deformed by external force, the first material also is deformed. Then, the second material breaks and jumps out by the spring force to outside. Therefore the destruction risk of the junction can be visualized. The destruction detection system was developed by converting an electrical signal by a switch with the signal that the second material protruded. The break of the second materials was able to be confirmed as electrical signal by a simple experiment.

我が国の漁村ではその持続可能性を脅かす問題が未解決である。漁業におけるエネルギー消費の問題と,漁業のみを生活の基盤とするリスクを解消するために,既存の概念から飛躍するような新しい漁村システムの確立が急がれるが,そのような漁村はまだ発生していない。本研究では漁村が再生可能エネルギーの導入適地であることに着目し,これを利用したシステムによって前述の問題を解決する。具体的には漁村がエネルギーを活用しつつ売却もできるシステムを新たに提案し,これが漁村を持続可能とすることを明らかにする。これにより,日本各地に点在する漁村を持続可能としつつ,新たなコミュニティ形態へと昇華させることが期待される。

This study was to propose a replaceable event at night with low visibility on the observation deck of Mt. Hakodate. Two possibilities were studied. The first was to project a picture of night view on cloud. To check this possibility, flow distribution around Mt. Hakodate was studied by numerical simulation and water tunnel experiment. The result showed a very low possibility. The other was to project a picture such as night view on a water-sprayed screen. This experiment indicated that the screen has another utility besides as a part of fire prevention system.

Recently, to reduce the inconvenience caused by authentication operations in portable terminals such as smartphones, various authentication methods based on behavior characteristics have been studied. We proposed authentication method which identified individuals based on walking motions measured by wearable sensors such as acceleration sensors, and can be implemented on a smartphone (as smartphones are equipped with sensors). In the many case of multimodal biometrics authentication with machine learning, the common classifier for all users is generated. One of the reasons for this is that these authentication systems are installed into the equipment shared by users, such as the server computer. This server computer identifies the all authorized persons and the non-authorized persons. However, each smartphone is occupied by each user and is not shared by the multiple users. Therefore, the classifier to each user for fusing the features can be generated for each user in their smartphones. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the influence by generating the individual classifier for each user and a common classifier for all users. We evaluated the authentication accuracy by employing both the classifiers generation methods.

Many glass beads have been found at archaeological sites in Hokkaido. We performed chemical analysis of glass beads discovered in Hokkaido by using scanning electron microscope (SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDX). Some glass beads were discovered from the Washinoki Site at Mori Town. These glass beads belong to Epi-Jomon culture and these are made from soda-lime glass.

In this paper we study the ring of Pseudo Complex numbers which are generated by a unipotent element and the real numbers, and we investigate an analogy of complex numbers and Pseudo complex numbers in Euler's formula, polar form, Gaussian plane, Cauchy Riemann's equation and DeMoivre's theorem.

Since 2000, we have attempted to improve a method of leading and experimental theme in the fundamentals of electrical and electronic engineering laboratory I accompanying with a reorganization from dept. of electrical eng. to dept. of electrical and electronic Eng.. In the second-year class, instructions of how to write a technical report were also included into contents of the electrical and electronic experiment. In the present report, we investigated such a method of leading, the experimental system and other problems based on previous enquetes. As a result, it was judging that current experimental system: members of groups, volume of contents, were adequate for students. Additionally, the instruction of technical report was meaningful for the students and we could confirm the necessity of continuing the efforts. On the other hand, some problems: 1) student's preparations to experiments are not sufficient 2) students frequently depend on teacher's advices 3) teachers are not enough to explain evaluation system to students 4) whether experimental themes are really proper or not, were revealed. These examinations and improvements should be needed continuously in the future.

The purpose of this research is to develop an automatic positioning device for drilling process using a stereo camera picture. Developed device is constituted by two camera and NC table of two-axis. This device uses a mounting to drilling machine. Three-dimensional coordinate is calculated from two pictures photoed with the tip of a drill and punch mark are automatically positioned. In this paper, we described the development of a measuring device and a method to calculate the three-dimensional coordinate for a drilling position, and the evaluation of the precision on the measuring device by experiment.

約300nmと1nmに粒子径を制御したイカ墨を用いる色素増感太陽電池の研究を行った。特に大きい粒子の利用について検討した。スクリーン印刷法を用いて、酸化チタンペーストにイカ墨粒子を混合したペーストを透明電極上に積層して、450℃で焼成すると白色の酸化チタン電極に変化し、イカ墨粒子が分解蒸発した。それと同時に、酸化チタン電極の表面粗さが増大した。これはイカ墨粒子が酸化チタン電極の多孔性を高める増進剤として効果があることを示唆していた。

Recently, many researchers have developed rescue robots in order to assist rescue team by searching survivors in need of help. These robots actually can climb obstacles in broken houses or buildings such as stairs, wreckage. However, most of them require manual control for achieving the task. And this manual control requires operators from rescue team the mutual control for the robot. Because of the complicated control of robots, these robots are difficult to success in real fields. The goal of this research is to develop an uneven terrain rover without any manual control for climbing obstacles for searching survivors in need of help in broken houses or buildings. The rover which we are developing does not need any manual control for climbing obstacles such as stairs, wreckages and so on. In this paper, first, we propose an easy control uneven terrain rover. Then, possibilities/suitability of shrimp mechanism and triangle wheels for our rover are discussed, and, validity of shrimp mechanism and triangle wheels are shown by experimental results with small models. Finally, prototype of the rover is designed based on the experimental results and control system of the rover is also designed.
