英国十七世紀詩人ジョン・ミルトンによるケンブリッジ大学クライスト学寮での学友エドワード・キングを哀悼する牧歌的哀歌「リシダス」の日本語訳である。翻訳にあたり、成立事情などについての簡略な紹介を付加した。John Milton's English pastoral elegy Lycidas translated into the Japanese language with his original and final English text in 1673. The translator has also added a short introduction to this poem for readers' appreciation in Japan.

スピノザ『エチカ』第二部定理8は「存在しない個物」について論じている。本稿では,この定理8の『エチカ』第二部における意義及び「存在しない個物の本質」の特性の解明を試みる。『エチカ』第二部全体の主題は人間精神の存在論と認識論の確立である。この第二部において,「存在しない個物」に関する定理は,人間精神の存在論と認識論の原理である物心の並行論の具体的展開を担うものと考えることができる。また,「存在しない個物の本質」の特性は,神の属性に内在する現実的な潜在性を示していると見なすことができるのである。In this paper I tried to understand the signification of the proposition (E.2.P.8) of non-existing singular things and the properties of them in Spinoza's philosophy. For this purpose I investigated into Spinoza's arguments of the nature and origin of human mind in his Ethica pars 2. According to Spinoza, the parallelism between the mental and physical realms is the most important theory in his epistemology and ontology of human mind. The proposition (E.2.P.8) plays a part to give###shape to the parallelism. And the formal essence of non-existing singular things has the reality and is considered as the actual latency in attribute of God.

中学の現場では今でも伝統的な5文型が使用されている。本論の目的は、5文型を認知言語学の枠組みで活用し、英語の初級学習者において、英語の語順の理解を促進させる方法を考察することである。5文型を活用するのは、現場の教員にとってなじみがあり使いやすいためであり、認知言語学の枠組みを使用するのは、プロミネンス等の認知的動機付けに基づき、日本語訳を通した文型理解から生じる問題を解決し、英語の文型の理解を深めるためである。英語の文型の理解を促すためには、守護と目的語の概念の捉えなおしと図式化が有効であることを示す。######In this paper, I will attempt to illustrate the merits of applying###insights from Cognitive Linguistics to pedagogical grammar. I do so by###examining English basic sentence patterns treated in textbooks for junior###high schools, long assumed to be one of the most difficult areas of learning###for Japanese students, and by showing some possible teaching solutions.###The solutions offer the following insights: 1) the grammatical relations (i.###e. subject and object) in English and Japanese are cognitively motivated###in nature (i. e. prominence): 2) the visualization of speaker objectification###may enable students to select appropriate subjects, which means that###they will be able to produce English sentences more fluently. I conclude###that a Cognitive Linguistics approach to basic sentence patterns in###English provides a more accurate, systematic account that, in turn, offers###the basis for a more coherent, learnable presentation of English grammar.

本稿は,2013 年に出版されたハルトムート・ビンダーの『カフカのウィーン』に依拠しつつ,フランツ・カフカとミレナ・イェセンスカー=ポラックとの9 ヶ月弱にわたる恋愛関係を概観し,破綻に至った原因を追究するものである。カフカは1920 年4 月に療養の地メラーンからミレナに手紙を書いた。手紙のやり取りは急速に恋愛関係へと発展した。二人はウィーンで幸福な四日間を過ごすが,一ヶ月半後のグミュントでの逢瀬では二人の間にすきま風が吹き始める。カフカのミレナとの関係において大きな障害となったのは,性行為に対するカフカの強い不安である。ミレナはこの不安を事前に理解し,ウィーンの森での出会いにおいては適切に対処した。しかしミレナは結局,性行為を抜きにした関係をあくまで求めるカフカに従うことはできなかった。Anknüpfend an Hartmut Binders 2013 veröffentlichtes Buch Kafkas Wien soll hier auf die Liebesbeziehung des Dichters mit Milena Jesenská-Pollak Licht geworfen werden; das Hauptaugenmerk gilt deren Scheitern.Nachdem Kafka Frau Jesenská-Pollak im Prager Café Arco kennenlernte und ihr die Erlaubnis gab, einige seiner Erzählungen ins Tschechische zu übersetzen, meldet er sich im April 1920 brieflich aus Meran, wo er sich zur Kur aufhält. Es folgt ein Briefwechsel, und obgleich nur Kafkas Schreiben erhaltengeblieben sind, wird doch klar, dass sich die beiden verliebt haben. Nach der Kur trifft sich das Paar in Wien und verbringt vier glückliche Tage zusammen. Kafkas Sexualangst begegnet Milena hierbei mit Geduld und Verständnis. Das ändert sich aber, als sich die beiden anderthalb Monate später in Gmünd wiedersehen. Was für Milena das Normalste von der Welt ist – dass Mann und Frau auch geschlechtlich miteinander verkehren, stößt Kafka ab. Der Bruch ist von daher folgerichtig.

1559年、国王至上法および拝礼統一法が制定され、イングランド国教会が再建されることになった。エリザベス治世において、政府は国教会による宗教の統一を試みたが、国内にはカトリック教徒が存在していた。カトリック教徒は少数であったが、地方の貴族やジェントリなど身分の高い信者が多かったため、彼らを厳格に取り締まることはできなかった。彼らはカトリック司祭を保護して信仰を維持し続けていたので、宗教統一は困難であった。しかし、政府は地方統治者の官職をカトリック教徒からプロテスタントへ入れ替えて、徐々にカトリックの権力を奪い、国教会の確立を図った。カトリック勢力は存続したものの、エリザベス治世の末期には国教会のもとでの国家統合が達成されたと思われる。In 1559 the Acts of Supremacy and Uniformity were enacted and the###Elizabethan government tried to impose religious uniformity under the###Church of England. In Elizabethan England, Catholics and Church###Papists existed. Though the number of English Catholic people was###small, it was difficult to punish the local Catholic nobility and gentry###holding the social and religious power. They protected the Catholic###priests and helped them to teach Catholicism. However, the government###tried to exclude Catholic office-holders from public office such as the lieutenancy. The gradual transfer of the social power from the Catholic###nobility and gentry to the new Anglican aristocracy was successful.###Although the government failed to destroy Catholicism, it seems that at###the end of her reign, the national uniformity under the Church of England###was accomplished.

本稿では、16世紀後半に大友義鎮(宗麟)が行った豊後府内から臼杵への城下町移転について考察した。その結果、城下町移転の背景には、義鎮政権が抱える政治的不安定性があったことを指摘した。この城下町移転により大友政権とそれを構成する家臣団の階層に変化はなく、家臣たちの政権への出仕は、大名城下町と自己の所領との間を行き来する形であった。最後に、戦国大名城下町が大都市である必要性がないことを提起した。######This paper considers the relocation of the castle town to Usuki from###Bungo-Funai carried out by Yoshishige(Sorin) Otomo in the latter half of###the 16th century. As a result, it is pointed out that the politically insecure###nature of the Yoshishige Administration served as a backdrop to the###relocation of the castle town. This relocation brought no change to the###class of the vassal team constituting the Otomo Administration. Their###service to the political power was in the form of a coming and going###between the castle town and their own territory. In the end, it emerged###that there was no necessity for the Sengoku Daimyo Castle Town to be a###big city.

本稿は,「部活動における問題行動の発生と収束のメカニズム」を明らかにするひとつの試みとして,2003 年に実施した大学生対象の高校部活動に関する回顧調査(質問紙調査)のデータを用いて,次の2点を検討した。第1は,高校部活動における指導者の問題行動(部員に対する暴力)と生徒(部員)の問題行動(部員同士の暴力,いじめ)の発生状況についてである。第2は,問題行動の規定要因についてである。分析の結果,次の2 点が明らかとなった。第1は,部活動における問題行動は運動部を中心に発生していた。第2は,部活動の問題行動は指導者の暴力が起点となって発生していることが推察された。分析結果をもとに,今後の研究課題と展望について考察を行った。This paper attempts to elucidate "The mechanism governing the###generating and resolution of problem behavior in club activities", using retrospection survey data about high school club activities for university students in 2003, it examines the following two points. The first concerns the situations generating of coaches' problem behavior###(violence to members), and members' problem behavior (members'violence, bullying) in high school club activities. The second concerns the determinant factors of problem behavior. As a result of the analysis, the following two points were found. First, problem behavior in club activities occurred mainly in the athletic clubs. Second, it was surmised that a leader's violence serves as the starting point of problem behavior in club activities. Future research tasks and the outlook were considered based on the results of the analysis.

我々はこれまで,温泉水流入のため温暖な水域がある金鱗湖に生息するオイカワ(Zacco platypus)が,大分県内のほかの河川に生息する個体と異なる特徴(広く一定の鱗隆起線間隔,早期の性成熟,冬季における産卵行動)を持つことを明らかにしてきた。本研究は,これらの特徴が高く安定した水温環境での生育によって生じることを確かめるため,金鱗湖流入部(平均水温30.4℃)と他の河川(平均水温16.7℃)で採集された個体の肥満度(体長/体重3)を月別に解析し,金鱗湖の流入部と流出部(平均水温20.1℃)で成熟雄の月別出現数を調査した。金鱗湖におけるオイカワの肥満度は,有意な変動が見られず,年間を通じほぼ一定であるのに対し,他の河川の個体では有意な変動が見られ,冬季に低く,夏季に高くなる傾向を示した。また,金鱗湖オイカワの成熟雄個体は,流入部では出現数に変動はあるが,年間を通して常に確認されたのに対し,流入部では季節変動が顕著に見られ,1-2月と11-12月では見られず,3月から10月の間に観察され,特に7-8月に多くなることが示された。これら肥満度や成熟雄出現数における差異は,生息環境の水温の違いを反映したものと推測された。We have previously demonstrated that characteristic features (broad and constant length of scale circuli, early maturation in small males, and reproductive behavior in winter) appear in Zacco platypus collected from the Lake Kinrin. To clarify that high and stable water temperature in the fish habitats reflects on theses features, the present study was undertaken analysis on the body mass index (body length/body weight3) of individuals collected from the influx ( mean water temperature 30.4℃) of the Lake Kinrin and the other rivers (mean water temperature 11.8℃) in the Oita Prefecture, and counts of mature males at the influx and debouchment ( mean water temperature 16.7℃) of the Lake Kinrin. The body mass index of individuals from the Lake Kinrin was constant throughout the year, but the body mass index of ones from the other rivers was variable, lower in the winter and higher in the summer. At the influx into the Lake Kinrin, mature males were always visible throughout the year though the number of them was variable. On the other hand, mature males at the debouchment were observed from May into October, and absent from January to February and from November to December. The number of mature males reached the maximum at July and August. It has suggested that these results are caused by different water temperatures in the fish habitats.

ここでは,フランスにおける子どもの貧困について,その実態と,教育結果について考察する。どのような家庭生活環境に育っ子どもが,いかなる教育結果を導くかについて,その相関について分析する。その結果,17歳の無資格者は,おおよそ同年齢層の4%を占め,うち30%が10分の1###の収入層に属することが判明した。また,その家庭的特徴には,ひとり親世帯,移民,劣悪な住宅事情などが連鎖していることが明らかとなった。こうした子どもの貧困との闘いは,社会正義という観点からも重要で,社会的###結束(cohsion sociale)の進展のためにも大きな課題である.###This paper has two objectives. The first is to discuss the major issues involved in defining and measuring the situation of child poverty in France. The second objective is to clarify the correlation between poverty and low school attainment.###An important challenge in reversing this trend concerns the need to develop a clear definition of child poverty for public policy ln specific territory as "Banlieue" and to set a feasible and credible targets as a public support programme to reduce social poverty.
