To clarify the mechanism of how a crowd accident occurs, phenomena in a high-density crowd accumulation were analyzed based on videos of extra-high-density crowd accumulation, crowd disaster investigation committee's reports and observation of high-density crowd phenomena of large-scale events. When the crowd density reaches 8 persons per square meter or so, crowd shock waves of 20 cm to 60 cm will occur due to the fluctuating density and pressure distribution in the crowd. When the density reaches 10 persons per square meter or more, people feel a surge of panic because of a fear of being crushed, possibility of crowd disaster will be higher with complicated critical crowd shock waves.

Recovery of local economy is one of the most important issues after natural disasters in rural area. We studied two local industries suffered from flood disaster in 2004, luggage industry in Toyooka-city and lacquer craft industry in Sabae-city. First, we figure out how local industries recovered from the disaster, especially focused on the activites by local companies in both cities. Second, we present expected local government role indispenasable for recovery of local indutries after natural disasters.

Fire of an approximately 1,000m^2 wooden gymnasium is investigated with the interest in the verification of the fire safety design for heavy timber construction based on the insulation effect of char layer and in the mechanism of the fast fire spread from the activation of fire alarm to flashover. The conventional char layer growing velocity, 0.6mm/min, is supported from investigation of the remaining components. The fast fire spread is attributed to the full burning of the partition wall.

神戸市消防局は,平常時の火災で消火栓の機能(水量・水圧)を評価するため,昭和61年6月9日に「消防ポンプ自動車の連成圧力調査」(神戸市星和台2丁目で放水実験)を行っている。この実際の街区における上水道管網での放水実験より,配水管の口径,放水消火栓数の条件に応じた放水量と水圧の関係を解析した。(オンラインのみ掲載)

The purpose of this article is to clarify residents' attitudes toward social relationships in condominiums. We conducted questionnaire to residents who live in large scale condominiums, and clarified the following things. About 75 percent of respondents seek some relationships with other residents. The respondents who have children are more satisfied with their present relationships than those who don't have children. The respondents who don't seek relationships and who regard intimate relationships as important, tend to be satisfied with their present relationships. Social relationships in the large scale condominiums are not weak, but it doesn't spread into all residents.

本論文では,筆者らがこれまでに開発してきた都市火災性状予測モデルに対して,放水の物理的火災抑制効果,ならびに都市火災時における住民の消火活動行動を組み込むことで,可搬ポンプ等を利用した地域消火活動の有効性を定量的に評価可能なモデルヘと発展させた。ケーススタディとして,同形状の建物が等間隔に並んだ仮想的な市街地に本モデルを適用し,消防水利の整備状況が市街地の火災安全に及ぼす効果について基礎的な検討を加えた。<br>(オンラインのみ掲載)
