Extention and refurbishment on public housing units built by the residents are addressed to examine their characteristics and significance relating the original planning method. Residents' autonomous transaction with the living environments stratify the diverse and matured place with sense of living and individuality on the uniform space heteronomously origined. The planning theory is to be shifted from prescribing and instructing the way of living to generating the living values autonomously, which follows as a logical consequence that planning and space are reserved and appropriated to the residents.

Why have our public environment become hard and banal blandscape? How important is an aesthetically pleasing public environment to personal well-being? It emphasizes linkages between vitalization of people's life and life's fulfillment of environment, which I call creative community design.<BR>This article describes the meaning of environment learning through creative community design with an analysis of the building and management process of Nekojyarashi Park. It is located in Setagaya ward. The site's size is 2700 After resident's movement for 5 years, they participated in planning process of the park.<BR>As a communal task of a series of workshop, the community-build project has many benefits, that are often the oppsite to conventional building methods.<BR>It can provide a place with special landscape taste and an interesing and worthwhile experience for those participating, and also an opportunity to produce a good and open human network in the neighbourhood.<BR>Creative community design with a participatory design and management is a totally situated environment learning process. In such circumstance's work, it produces not only an aesthetically nourishing environment, but also inspiring the human spirit and relation.

The purpose of this paper is to find out the factors which induce the various human living values in the neibouring environment. It may be assumed that interrelationship between environment and community creates such values. We concerned with the maintenance process in the shared space of co-operative housing 'Ajirogi-yokochoh' where the residents' participation has been made both in the planning and in the management. In conclusion, the sense of community is changeable but one of the factors which renew the satisfactory community is the diverse meanings of socializing in the process of improving the environment.

本研究の目的は,創造的まちづくりを通して,高齢者の安心・自立居住の場をもたらす地域力を明らかにすることと,コレクティブタウンのモデルを提起することにある。神戸市真野地区における地域力は,たくさんのチャンス(給食サービスや友愛訪問や多様な地域行事等),ボランティアによるコミュニケーション的行為や公的地域組織や個々の住民たちの多層の人的ネットワーク,たくさんの居場所(公園,銭湯,喫茶店,路地等)からなる。それは,これら3側面の相互連関性に特徴がある。真野ふれあい住宅という公営コレクティブハウスは,居住者のいろいろな相互関係を成立させており,それは,つづきバルコニーのような空間面の特徴と住み手間の対面状況で話されるコミュニケーションが緊密に結び合わさっている。

現在、日本では自動車需要の頭打ちや歩行環境改善のニーズの高まりから、道路空間の見直しの議論が進んでいる。特に近年では、歩行者や滞留者にとってより快適な空間形成やその運営方法への着目が高まりつつある。本研究は、名古屋市中区錦二丁目地区における歩道拡幅社会実験における交通実態調査を実施し、自動車交通への影響を分析するとともに、温熱環境や天候、歩行空間への木材活用による歩行空間の快適性や歩行者行動の分析を行うものである。分析の結果、1)歩道拡幅による車道狭窄は通過交通の走行速度低減に効果があること、2)季節変化による屋外気温や天候の変化は歩行行動と密接な関係があり、温熱環境のコントロールが歩行空間の快適性向上に寄与する可能性があること、3)歩行空間への木材の使用は都心部において自然や景観の代替として捉えられ、歩行環境の改善に大きく寄与する可能性があることが明らかとなった。
