Hitachi, Matsusita and SONY have proposed the consumer-use VTR format for the 1125line/60Hz Japanese Hi-Vison system, and announced the specifications of this VTR. In these specifications, we adopted a base-band recording method which dose not require any band compression. In making this adoption we took into consideration two typical uses, recording of broadcasted signals and playback of software tapes. And the width (1/2inch) and the thickness(13um) of the tape enable 3 hours recording with almost the same size cassette as is being by consumers at present.

W-VHS VCR has been developed as a next generation consumer VCR in response to Hi-Vision and NTSC signals. This VCR has a high picture quality using new video signal processing technologies by new Metal-coated tapes, TCI signal processing and Temporal Emphasis. It has an excellent cost/performance ratio as a Hi-Vision VCR developed on the basis of the VHS system.

We have developed Photo Player (AP-1) for Advanced Photo System Negative film which scan developed roll film by line CCD and display playback picture for a TV monitor with some effects such as zoom, pan tilt, and so on. AP-1 also edit picture taking information that recording MOF (Magnetic On Film). This letter introduce the special feature and the new technology for using AP-1.

It is concidered that the resolution of the CCD imager is limited by Nyquist rate determined as a half of the pixel number of the CCD. High spacial frequency components of the input image above Nyquist rate generate aliasing. The aliasing pattern contains informations of the high frequency components of the input image. Therefore by turning up the frequency components of the aliasing from low to high frequency, the original image can be reconstructed beyond Nyquist rate.

LDプレーヤーをべ一スにインタラクティブLDプレーヤーの開発を行った。LDプレーヤーをドライブとして扱い、複数のシステムに対応させるため、LDプレーヤーをパック対応とした。コントロールパックを装着することにより、株式会社セガエンタープライゼス、NECホームエレクトロニクス株式会社の仕様の既存のゲームがプレイ可能であり、レーザーアクティブというLD動画を主体とした新しいメディアが再生可能となる。本稿では、開発を行ったレーザーアクティブシステムの概要説明並びにこれら異なったシステムを共用するための技術、LD映像とコンピュータ画像の合成方法、CD-ROMゲーム機との互換性の確保等、主な技術開発ポイントについて述べる。

This paper presents the PASSFACE system which is a lock-control system using face identification. If one can use his (her) face as a key, it will be very convenient to open a lock. The PASSFACE system identify a face image for judgment whether it should unlock a door or not. The face identification consists of two main processes ; normalization of the size and the inclination of the face image and matching of characteristic face components (eye, nose and mouth).

対人コミュニケーションの過程はメディア、個人属性、対人関係、状況など多くの要因からなる。社会的行動の中心的な要因であり、多くの機能を担っている。それは、情報伝達、相互作用調整、親密さの表出、社会的統制の行使、サービス・作業目標の促進などである。これまでのように、チャネルの用いられ方だけでなくその機能を把握していく必要がある。コミュニケーションは対人的な親密さを反映する。その親密さは発言や視線の直接性を高め、しかもそれは、親密さを意味すると解読される。しかし、親密さが結合段階に達すると、さらには増大せず、減退することにも見られるように、コミュニケーションの機能は関係の段階に応じて変化するものでもある。

ISDNの普及と、テレビ電話会議方式の国際標準の勧告化及び国内標準化を背景に、テレビ会議の二一ズが急速に高まっている。このような状況下で、世界にさきがけ「いつでも、どこでも、手軽に、グローバルなAVミーティングが出来る」オールインワンタイプデスクトップテレビ会議システムを開発・製品化した。本報告では、新しいコンセプトとして、デスクトップテレビ会議システムの提案を行い、実際にこのコンセプトに基づいて開発したDP-200,CA-200についてその構成と特徴を述べる。

An improved 512x512-element PtSi Schottky-barrier infrared image sensor (512x512 IRCSD) has been developed by using the charge sweep device (CSD) readout architecture and 1.2 μm minimum design rules. A large fill factor of 71% is achieved in spite of a small pixel size of 26μm x 20μm. At the Schottky-barrier detector reset voltage of 4V, the differential temperature response with f/1.2 optics at 300K and saturation signal level were 3.2x10^4 electrons/K and 2.9xl0^6 electrons, respectively. The NETD was estimated as 0.033K with f/1.2 optics at 300K. This 512x512 IRCSD was designed to be operated in either the field or frame integration interlace modes for versatility.
