位相限定相関はフーリエ変換を用いた相関の計算過程において、入力画像の振幅成分を固定値で置き換えるよう修正した新しいパターンマッチング・アルゴリズムである。位相限定の自己相関はデルタ関数となり、相関に比べてきわめて急峻な識別特性を持つ。また、画像の振幅の影響を受けず、像のずれは相関のピークが出現する位置のずれに変換されるといった性質を持つ。位相限定相関は今後様々な分野で普及するものと予想されるが、特に顔画像や指紋画像など、安定した特徴量の抽出が難しい画像のマッチングに適している。

Capability of the progressive reproduction is a factor desirable for embedded data compression scheme in image database systems. This paper presents an image data compression scheme based on a hierarchical bicubic spline interpolation and vector quantization. In our method, input images are decomposed hierarchically into a decimated image and some decimated residual images with various decimation ratios, e.g. 8 : 1,4 : 1 and 2 : 1. In order to remove redundancy among samples, an adaptive decimation method is introduced. And then the decimated samples are quantised by the tree search vector quantizers. Simulation experiments are done for the three-stage hierarchical decimation/interpolation and the four-dimensional eight-bit tree search vector quantization.

近年、計算機の情報入力デバイスとしてCCDが注目されている。カメラやスキャナーから画素単位で取り込まれる情報は加工や蓄積などの処理に適しておらず、応用が限られたものになっている。これに対して図形の表現では、スプライン曲線と呼ばれる区分的多項式で表現される自由曲線が様々な局面で利用されるようになってきており、図形の情報を簡潔に表現できる。本稿では、カメラ画像から得た図形の輪郭線への曲線の自動あてはめについて、円錐曲線による中心点統合手法と多項式2次スプライン曲線を人の視覚解像度を誤差基準としたあてはめ手法について検討し、比較的良好な結果を得ることができた。

本稿においては,従来形3値記録符号の一形式に属する3B-2T符号及び4B-3T符号に対して各種PRML(Partial Response Maximum Likelihood)方式を適用し,状態推移行列とシンボル推移行列を考慮して,ビット誤り率特性を計算機シミュレーションによって求めている.その結果,検討したPRMLとの組合せの内で,PR(1,0,-1)MLとの組合せにおいて両符号とも,最も良い性能が得られ,ビットバイビット検出に比べて誤り率が10^<14>を達成するのに必要な読みだし点でのSNRは,3B-2T符号で約2.3dB,4B-3T符号で約2.2dB改善された.また,PR(1,0,-1)方式の際にk_1制約を考慮することにより,両符号ともさらに0.4dBの改善があった.

世界陸上選手権大会はオリンピックが本来の価値をうすれさせた一方でトップレベルのアスリートが一堂に会し、真の世界一の力と技を競うものとなった。第3回東京大会では日本テレビがホストブロードキヤスターとして、ガイドラインにのつとり、プランを具体化して最大規模の中継放送を行なった。そのカバレージシステムの特徴については各所に新しい試みを盛り込んだ物となつた。長い間の周到な準備と担当者がそれぞれのスペシャリストとなる努力をして送り出した番組は海外からも高い評価を受ける物となった。

NTV has created the Japanese characters' on-screen graphics system, using the technical knowledge gained by the experience of the Japanese-English simultaneous on-screen graphic system which was produced/established at the 3rd IAAF World Championships in Atheletics in Tokyo in 1991. This system is operated by receiving the host computers' data at the venue where we transmit from, but actually super-imposing our simultaneously produced Japanese character graphics, all done without This results in the benefit of delay compared to the host broadcaster's English superimposement. viewer in Japan where they can see in Japanese(where it used to be in English or some other language)the athletes' and sport's information of an event that NTV is transmitting from abroad.

The RF protection guideline, submitted on 25 June 1990 by M.P.T. of Japan tells us that exposure of RF field to the operator of an RF transmitter does not harm on his health as long as the rated output at the transmitter is not beyond 7 W at frequencies 100kHz to 3GHz. However, there arises a new question whether it is true regardless of the exposure duration. To answer the question we must refer to the experimental results obtained by Kues et al. : corneal endothelial abnormalities were observed after the 4h exposure duration of 2.45GHz CW to monkey's eyes. We traced their experimental study applying RF power density of 40mW/cm^2 which is beyond the threshold, 30mW/cm^2,shown by Kues et al., but we have not observed the same abnormalities as they had done.

We developped the system for election reports by applying LAN system organized from PC and Ethernet in 1989. Since then, we have being given satisfactory results in election reports based on this system. We think this system have had a high level of function, ability and cost efficiency in local TV station. We are going on making all the software of this system more functionaly and the graphics for on air more distinctly so that we can obtain more better results.

1994年IDRC(14thInternational Display Research Conference)およびディスプレイ材料とAM-LCDのワークショップ(Internatinal Workshop on Display Materials and Active-Matrix LCDs)が10月10日(月)〜10月13日(木)の4日間,米国カリフォーニア州モンテレイ市ハイアット・リジェンシーホテルで開催された.参加者数は450名,発表論文数は121であった.1日目と2日目の午前の4セションは2会場で,その他のセッションは1会場で行われ円滑に運営された.

February 10th of this year, involving a crash of a local-line bus and a vehicle, the collapse of a base rock in the Toyohama Tunnel in Hokkaido ended in a tragedy with the deaths of 20 people. Today, NHK would like to report how we coped with this accident by relay broadcasting throughout the country day and night.

辞書を用いた言葉の意味の脱曖昧化は、各見出し語と連合した複数の語義の中から一つを選択するととである。電子化辞書の各見出し語と語義をノ一ドとする連想記憶回路を構成し、連想基準表から選んだ意味的関連語の意味の脱曖昧化に関する実験を行なった。その結果、ランダムに意味の組合せを選択した場合の正答率が約20%であるのに対して、70%以上の確率で正しい意味の組合せが検出できることが分かった。

On July 11th, 1991, from the summit of Mt. Mauna Kea, NHK, using three HDTV cameras, successfully filmed one of the longest total solar eclipses of this century. This was the first attempt in the world to film a total solar eclipse using HDTV cameras. This of course involved difficulties in preparing the equipment and materials and in filming the object.

NHK Osaka Regional Headquarters renewed a helicopter system on December 1991. This system equips a camera control system with three-axes gyrostabilizer, two transmitters which can be operated simultaneously and a direction find for a microwave reciever. Therefore it can offer fineand stabilized Pictures on three road-races held in Kyoto and Siga Pref. in a year. we introduce this system used for daily news and outside broadcasting.

Through utilization tests or the 64QAM signal under tentative specifications, intensive works have been made to standardize digital broadcasting signal format over cable television systems. At first, we describe an indoor experiment on the adjacent interference between the 64QAM signal and 3 types of analog modulation signals so far being supposed to transmit through cable television facilities. Next, we describe field tests conducted at 2 operative facilities under allowable ranges of DU ratio.

第1図は本装置のブロック図である。レベルコンパレータで, サンプル映像信号よりカラーバランス補正条件を満す画面領域を検出する。この領域のR-G信号, B-G信号をゲートして, 基準信号のGチャンネルとの差に等しい直流のR誤差信号, B誤差信号を作る。この誤差信号を主制御信号に加算してプロセス部を制御する。第2図は本装置の挿入系統である。本装置は本線信号と分離されており, 映像信号よりカラーバランスの誤差信号を得て直接ブロセス部を制御するので系統が簡単である。本装置は白バランス(AWB), ガンマバランス(AGB), 黒バランス(ABB)の3ブロックで構成されておりそれぞれの検出す範囲(THRESHOLD)を決めることができる。AWB, AGB, ABBはそれぞれ単独にON/OFFできる。
