日本では,他の国にはない,精製度の高いモグサが作られている。しかし,近年,中国産ヨモギが輸入され,それを原料とした製品も販売されているが,それらの現状は,詳しく報告されていない。そこで,日本国内のモグサ製造,加工,国内卸業を行っている14社に対して,2011年11月16日に郵送で,製造の現状と問題点など15領域29項目について,アンケート調査を実施した。その結果,有効回答は,14社中12社(85.7%)で,仕入れについては,ヨモギの葉が,国内産88t,外国産45t,モグサが,国内産13t,外国産50t だった。製造時期は,11月下旬から3月下旬頃までであった。製造用機器は,石臼,長通し,唐箕などで,多くは職人により手作りで製作されていた。今回の調査では,ヨモギやモグサの納入や輸出に関する事柄,製造や製造機器に関する現状,また,製造業者の抱えている問題点や今後の展望などについて検討することができた。

In the course of our continuing investigation of the constituents of a hallucinogenic mushroom, Gymnopilus spectabilis (Japanese name, O-waraitake) collected at Oguni, Yamagata, we have isolated novel type of polyisoprenepolyols designated as gymnopilins -A, -B, and gymnoprenols -A, -B, -C, and -D etc. These substances occured as a mixture of some homologues were separated and throughly purified by means of preparative HPLC and their chemical structures were determined on the basis of the results of oxidative degradation as well as their spectroscopic properties. These polyisoprenepolyols were shown to contain same repeated unit corresponding to hydrated form of usual isoprenoid chain, two or three double bonds and a terminal vicinal diol moiety or the corresponding ester with 3-hydroxy-3-methyl-glutaric acid. The location of double bond was confirmed by the degradation studies. The structures of polyisoprenepolyols such as 1a and 2a have never been encountered in natural products obtained so far. The stereochemistry and biological activities are under investigation.

Pederin, a potent insect poison isolated from paedrus fuscipes, exhibits various interesting physiological activities, such as inhibition of mitosis in HeLa cell and blocking of protein synthesis at concentrations of 1-10 ng/me. We describe here the first total synthesis of pederin. Asymmetric Synthesis of Pedaldehyde Derivatives. Asymmetric reduction of ketone 14 was examined under various conditions. The desired alcohol 13R was obtained by reduction with LiAlH_4 in ether-toluene (54: 46) at -123°in 74% e.e. The alcohol 13R was converted stereoselectively to pedamide 28 (Fig. 4,5). Synthesis of N-acyl aminoacetals. A new general method for the synthesis of N-acyl aminoacetals was developed and the method was applied to the synthesis of pederin, starting from (+)-pederic acid and (+)-pedamide.

日本では,灸治療で使用する透熱灸などの直接灸用のモグサは精製度が高く,独自の製法で製造されてきた。中国などでは,棒灸など間接灸が主流のため,簡易な製法で,低精製モグサが製造されてきた。近年,中国でも,高精製モグサが製造され,日本産モグサとの違いが分かりにくくなってきた。そこで,日本の臨床家に,製造国が分からないようにし,中国産と日本産の高精製モグサを提示し,違いをどの様に感じるかを評価用紙に記述してもらい比較検討した。有効回答数は,265名中164名(61.9%)。2種類のモグサの違いについて,54.9%の人が総合的に見て「少し違う」と回答したが,「使い勝手がよい」,「使いたい」が多かったのは日本産だった。施灸した119名中「心地よかった」を選択したのは,日本産が85名(71.4%)であった。日本の臨床家は,日本式の製造技術で精製したモグサが日本の治療法に適していると感じていた。

<p>The Matadi Bridge, a suspension bridge in Democratic Republic of Congo, was completed in May 1983 by the Japanese ODA. The inspection facilities such as the under girder inspection vehicles, the inside girder inspection vehicles, are equipped on this bridge. As the bridge have been opened to the public for nearly 30 years, these maintenance vehicles need to be improved because some deteriorations and the consequent problems have been found and reported by OEBK which maintains the bridge. JICA(Japan International Cooperation Agency) dispatched experts to solve these problems and repaired the inspection vehicles at the site in cooperation with OEBK. This paper reports the improvement activities done by JICA Study Team.</p>

下津井瀬戸大橋は瀬戸大橋の最も北側に位置する吊橋で、本州の倉敷市下津井とその南にある櫃石島(ひついしじま)とを結んでいる。下津井瀬戸大橋には、側径間端部で補剛桁を下から支え、鉛直反力を受け持つピボット構造のエンドリンク4基が設置されている。これらの内のA3エンドリンク(東西各1基、合計2基)ピボット構造部付近から、周辺民家(民家までL=約30m)でも容易に確認できるようなカンカンという大きな金属音が1993年6月頃より発生するようになった。この音の発生は、重量の大きな貨物列車が通過するときに顕著であった。そこで騒音を低減するための応急措置を施した後、1994年1月~2月にかけて、エンドリンクの精密点検を行い音源調査、ひずみ・変位調査等を現地に於いて実施した。'94年度には、騒音源と思われるピボット部へ潤滑剤を注入するための孔明け方法を検討するために模型実験を行った。また、ピボット部に注入すべき潤滑剤の選定を行った。これらの調査、実験の成果を用いて、'95年度にA3エンドリンクの補修工事を行い、騒音を解消することができた。また'96年度にはA4エンドリンクを同様の方法で補修した。ここでは、エンドリンクの精密点検及び補修工事について述べる。

2009年に国際標準化機構(ISO)で設置が承認されたTC249では、 2010年の第1回全体会議 (北京) 以降、 2013年までに4回の全体会議を開催した。 この間、 鍼灸領域では、 鍼灸鍼の国際規格作成をscopeとするWG3と鍼灸鍼以外の医療機器の規格作成に特化したWG4の2つが設置され、 伝統医学領域の医療機器の国際規格策定が進められている。 日本としては、 現在国内に存在する関連規格 (JIS規格;厚生労働省の定める認証基準など) と齟齬を来す国際規格が策定されぬよう、全体の流れを注視しつつ議論に参画しているが、TC249に出席しているメンバーのほとんどは、臨床家や医学研究者であり、必ずしも医療機器の専門家ではないことから、議論はしばしば平行線をたどり、ハーモナイゼイションは困難な場合が多い。 本稿では、TC249における規格策定に関わってきた日本のエキスパートのうち、アカデミア2名、メーカー2名に2013年の5月に南アフリカ共和国のダーバンに於いて開催されたTC249 4th Plenary MeetingにおけるWG3, 4における議論についてそれぞれの立場から論じて頂いた。

The purpose of this study was to determine if Moxibustion stimulus influence on the circulation in the sacral area.In the first phase of this study, the influence of indirect Moxibustion stimulus (using‹SEN-NEN-KYU›) on the amount of blood flowing to the sacrum was investigated using laser Doppler Perfusion Imager PeriScan PIM II.Significant increase in the amount of blood flow in radial directions were observed around the area where Moxibustion was applied. Immediately after the stimulus, significant differences in the amount of blood flow were observed within 2.5cm to the right and left and 1.5cm above and below the stimulated spot.With increasing time after the Moxibustion stimulus, the amount of blood flow gradually decreased concentrically returning to the original state over time. However, the amount of blood flow at the Moxibustion spot was significantly higher than the original state 32 minutes and 52 seconds after the Moxibustion treatment.Increased blood flows to pressure ulcers area induced by Moxibustion stimulus are considered to restrict or arrest the progress of pressure ulcers (according to Stage I of the International Association for Enterostomal Therapy (IAET) classification) on in-home care.

Clitocybe acromelalga is a poisonous mushroom distributed in Japan only. It exhibits unique toxicity. If one takes it accidentaly, one will have intolerable pain in fingers and toes after some days and the pain continues for about a month. We were interested in these remarkable physiological activities. It was difficult to reproduce the above described symptoms in experimental animals, however. So we fractionated various constituents of the mushroom testing the lethal effect on mice. Clitidine was a weakly toxic, a new nucleoside. Clithioneine, an unusual betaine, was nontoxic. From the most toxic fraction, acromelic acid A (ca. 110μg) and acromelic acid B (ca. 40μg) were isolated. We suggest formula 1 and 2 for A and B respectively on the basis of ^1H NMR and UV data.
