In the resonance ratio control, which is a well-known excellent technique for vibration suppression and disturbance rejection control of torsional systems, the estimation speed of the disturbance observer was assumed to be much faster than the resonance frequency of the controlled object. However, too fast disturbance observer sometimes causes implementation problem. In this paper, we give the optimal speed of the disturbance estimation and propose a novel technique, “slow resonance ratio control”. It enables us to design the speed controller and the vibration suppression controller completely independently.

This paper presents the estimation method of the slip ratio limitation for electric vehicles that ensures traction, based on the tire brush model considering tire side slip. Also the estimated slip ratio limitation is applied to the driving force control, a traction control that has been proposed by the authors' research group. According to the proposed method, vehicle safety can be improved by preventing understeer when cornering with accelerating or decelerating on slippery roads. Effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by experiments using an experimental electric vehicle.

A lot of researches on chaos have been made. However, most of them are just investigation using computer simulation, and researches on actual chaotic system is very few. It is well known that double pendulum is a representative chaotic system. This paper deals with an actual handmade double pendulum and stabilize its chaotic motion by the extended OGY method, which we propose. First, by using reconstructed attractor which is a state space to express chaotic time series, the motion of the pendulum is analyzed. Next, the proposed new control method is applied and proved that very small control input can stabilize the system. Finally, it is compared to the disturbance observer method, and shows the superiority of the proposed control method.

It is important that we control a robot manipulator considering contact with an object. In force control we have two difficulties caused by (1) environmental parameter change and (2) large contact force at collision. The collision always happens in a short transient period from trajectory control to force control. In this paper, we propose a robustifid force and collision control method. First, we designed TDOF (Two Degrees Of Freedom) force controller. This force controller enables us to obtain stable and fast response in the face of considerable environmental parameter variation. Next, in order to reduce the shock and also to change control modes smoothly from position to force, we proposed a novel collision control method by using feedforward position command together with the robust force controller based on position. We realized these proposals by using a TRANSPUTER based con-troller and confirmed their usefulness with experiments by using a 1-axis and a lifesize 6-axis mani-pulator.

Novel algorithm of the dynamic driving/braking force distribution is proposed for electric vehicle (EV) with four in-wheel motors. In such EV, the vehicle lateral motion can be controlled by yaw moment, generated with torque difference between wheels. This method is known as DYC (Direct Yaw moment Control) in normal engine vehicle engineering, however, the torque difference can be generated more directly with in-wheel motors. One problem of DYC is its instability on the slippery road, such as wet or snowy asphalt. To achieve high stability, the loads of wheels are preferable to be equal. The load of each wheel can be evaluated with root sum square of driving/braking force and side force. Therefore, the driving/braking forces, or motor torques, should be distributed depending on the side forces of wheels, to minimize the load imbalance between the wheels. The proposed algorithm can solve this optimization problem approximately with a few calculation cost, thus this method can be applied for real-time calculation within a control period. The approximate solutions with proposed method are evaluated by comparison with numerical solutions that require long calculation time. Difference between these solutions is negligible one, and this indicates the effectiveness of proposed method.

A novel object transfer system named “Magic Carpet” composed of linear actuator array and driven by autonomous decentralized type control algorithm is proposed. An object is manipulated by a large number of contact points with many actuators, which differs from conventional systems like belt conveyor. In this paper, the control algorithm for such “distributed manipulation” is proposed.Due to recent development of micromachine technology, distributed manipulation becomes more important. This system has a big advantage in its fault tolerance because it has a lot of actuators with poor performance to move a large heavy object. However, it has a serious wiring problem to be solved and homogeneous structure should be introduced because of a large number actuators.To solve these problems, “combined control of central /autonomous decentralized algorithms” is proposed and evaluated by computer simulation and experiment.

In this paper, the general structure of anti-windup control system based on left coprime factorization is proposed. First, the command responses of anti-windup control system are investigated using transfer function description, and the condition for avoiding windup phenomena is derived. The responses can be formulated easily by handling the input saturation as its equivalent input disturbance. Next, the conditions are explained using state space description. This analysis shows that the proposed system has very simple structure. For feedback controller designed by Youla parameterization, the proposed method can obtain the proper estimated value by state observer. For feedforward controller designed by right coprime factorization, the proposed anti-windup controller has the limitation model in the state feedback loop.The effectiveness of the proposed method is shown by some simulation and experimental results.

In this paper, a novel perfect tracking control method based on the multirate sampling control is proposed, in which the concept of the two-degree-of-freedom preview control is employed. In the proposed method, it is assumed that the usual single-rate robust feedback controller such as the disturbance observer or the H∞ controller already exists, and only the feedforward controller is designed by using the multirate sampling control. The advantages of the proposed method are that 1) the controller can be designed without considering the unstable zeros of the discrete-time plant, 2) the states of the plant match the desired trajectories at every sampling point, 3) high robust performance is assured by the robust feedback controller.An illustrative example of position control using a servo motor is presented, and the advantages of this approach are demonstrated.

Transmitting efficiency is one of the most important characteristics in dynamic wireless power transfer for electric vehicles. In this paper, a simple and efficient topology for a transmitting system called the DC bus system is introduced. Its simplicity maximizes the potential transmitting efficiency. Moreover, a receiving circuit topology and a maximum efficiency control, which is a method to maximize the transmitting efficiency by controlling the secondary voltage, are proposed. A real-time coupling coefficient estimation method is necessary to calculate the secondary voltage command for the control. A simulation and experimental evaluation of the maximum efficiency control was performed using an experimental setup. The results indicate that it provides a large improvement in efficiency and its implementation in a real dynamic power transfer system for electric vehicles is feasible.

患者は慢性関節リウマチのため少量のプレドニゾロンとサラゾスルファピリジンを長期内服中の79歳の女性である。右大腿骨骨折に対する骨接合術のため入院中であったが,術後13日目に突然の腹痛が出現した。腹部全体に腹膜刺激症状を認め,腹部CTにて腹腔内に遊離ガスと液体貯留を認めたため消化管穿孔に伴う汎発性腹膜炎が疑われた。しかし同時に内部にガス産生を伴う腫大した子宮を認めたため経膣的ドレナージを施行すると大量の排膿があり,子宮留膿腫の穿孔に伴う汎発性腹膜炎の診断にて開腹手術となった。子宮底に穿孔部位を認め,子宮全摘術および両側付属器切除術を施行し,術後エンドトキシン吸着療法を含めた集学的治療により軽快した。子宮留膿腫は高齢女性にみられる予後良好の慢性疾患である。しかし稀に腹腔内に穿孔し汎発性腹膜炎の原因となり,致死的な疾患となり得ることが報告されている。腹腔内の遊離ガスと液体貯留を呈することが多いため,消化管穿孔の診断のもと開腹手術となり術中に診断されることが多く,術前診断率が低いことが指摘されている。本症例はステロイドと免疫抑制薬を長期併用する慢性関節リウマチ患者に発症した穿孔例であるが,急性腹症として発症する前に明らかな下腹部痛,異常帯下などは認めなかった。腹部CTにて子宮留膿腫の穿孔を疑ったことが,迅速な婦人科紹介,経膣的ドレナージ,適切な術式選択につながり救命できたものと考えられた。一般的に腹腔内の遊離ガスと液体貯留を伴う急性腹症の原因は消化管穿孔と考えられるが,高齢女性においては稀に子宮留膿腫の穿孔があることを救急医は認識しておくべきである。
