The aim of this paper is to examine Shapiro's structuralism in philosophy of mathematics and to show several difficulties in his structuralism. He adopts ante rem structuralism which is based upon his realism. After delineating his arguments I will point out some advantages of his structuralism, which become apparent when it is compared especially with a traditional type of mathematical Platonism. Then I will show, by using examples taken from mathematics, that there are some ambiguities in his uses of the basic notions, such as structure, system, exemplification and place. Finally I criticize his axiomatic theory of structure mainly because it relies upon too many undefined terms, and show that in his ontological views there is an underlying discrepancy between his ante rem structuralism and his set-theoretic approach to structures.

Since periodical survey of the sewage entering the sewage-farm in Matsuyama City revealed a high incidence of Salmonella typhi of different phage types, attempts were made to trace the upstream reservoir. It was found that S. typhi was drained into a particular manhole at a distance of about 5 km from the sewage-farm. Two members of two families were found to be carriers. Further investigation detected other 25 carriers. The 27 carriers were all pupils of the same primary school. Ten of them showed mild symptoms such as fever, abdominal pain and diarrhea; the remaining 17 were asymptomatic. The phage type of 24 isolates was of Vi degraded approaching phage type A [degraded Vi (A) ] and that of the other three was of type 53. The results coincided with those of the isolates from sewage.

The aim of this paper is to explicate and evaluate Resnik's structuralism in the philosophy of mathematics, and especially to show some difficulties in his theory. Firstly I clarify his main arguments concerning mathematical realism and structuralism. His position has some merits from the points of ontology and epistemology. Then I point out the philosophical implications of his interpretation of mathematical patterns as merely epistemological devices for philosophical explication. By using indispensability argument as a means of justification of mathematical realism, he admits the degree of our commitment to the existence of mathematical objects. Finally I will show that he fails to explain patterns and positions of mathematical structures in category theory.

After the Meiji Restoration, a central organ of Government building and a high government official residence were installed. The government assigned the samurai residence which requisitioned from the Shogunate to a Government building and a high government official residence at first. However, there is the later policy of europeanize, too, and European-style design will be gradually introduced. It was a Minister of Foreign Affairs official residence introduced European-style design into earliest in a high government official residence, and subsequently it was a Prime Minister official residence that construction was planned. This report paid its attention to these two high government official residence and clarified the construction process and the genealogy of European-style design introduction with proof of a document.

Structuralism considers structures to be principal. According to in re structuralism, a structure resides in particular systems exemplifying the former. I characterize a schema for any mathematical entity as a pattern framed by its definition including its axioms in mathematics, no matter how described by set theory or category theory. The aim of this paper is to present in re structuralism by schema and to argue for it. In re structuralism commits less abstract entities than ante rem structuralism. From the presented position we can regard all the structures (including variable sets) as schemas framed by definitions in mathematics. Such schemas can be comprehended through mathematicians' communication in metalanguage.

早場米地帯として早生系品種の早期栽培が定着し、コンバイン型専用収穫機を所有するコントラクタにより飼料イネの収穫作業が1ヵ月強にわたって継続する地域において、収穫期間の各時期で長期貯蔵性を備えた高品質ロールベールサイレージの調製方法を検討した。2006年8月末からの1ヵ月強で23haを収穫した中で、最前期の8月28日刈取りのヒメノモチ(食用品種)、9月21日刈取りのはえぬき(食用品種)、最後期の9月28日刈取りの夢あおば(飼料専用品種)について、乳酸菌(畜草1号)添加の有無を設定し、収穫から10ヵ月及び13ヵ月貯蔵のサイレージ発酵品質とかびの発生状況を調査した。ヒメノモチは適期刈りの黄熟期、はえぬきと夢あおばは刈遅れの完熟期で、前2品種は天候に恵まれた収穫、夢あおばは直前の大雨を経た収穫となった。ヒメノモチとはえぬきの発酵品質は全般的にV-SCOREが良好と評価され、乳酸菌添加によりpHが低下、乳酸含量が増加、酪酸含量が減少し、品質がさらに向上した。刈遅れのはえぬきは、乳酸菌添加では貯蔵期間による品質の差がなかったが、無添加では13ヵ月貯蔵で酪酸含量が増加し長期貯蔵での品質低下が懸念された。夢あおばは添加の有無にかかわらず、同じように乳酸発酵が進行した一方で、酪酸含量が多く発酵品質が劣り、材料草への雨水と土の付着が影響したものと考えられた。かびの発生による廃棄ロスは、いずれの品種も乳酸菌添加の有無と貯蔵期間の違いによる有意な差が認められなかった。いずれの収穫時期においても好条件の適期刈りに近づけるため、秋雨等の季節的状況や農業用水の管埋を考慮しながら、品種の早晩性を踏まえた早場米地帯の飼料イネ作付け体系確立が望まれた。

卵黄中のβカロチン量を強化させた付加価値卵作出を目的に、市販の産卵鶏用配合飼料の他に長さ約1cmに細断したイタリアンライグラスを0g、20g及び40g/日・羽給与する区分と、配合飼料中にアルファルファミールが0%、7.5%及び15%含まれる飼料を給与する区分の2通りの方法で検討をおこなった。 その結果、各方法とも産卵成績に悪影響を与えることなく、卵黄中のβカロチン量を強化する事ができた。この場合の卵黄100g中βカロチン量は市販飼料のみ給与の0g区の12.8μgに対して、イタリアンライグラス20gおよび40g給与区がそれぞれ108.9μg、190.9μgとなった。またアルファルファミール無配合飼料給与区の0%区の12.4μgに対して、アルファルファミール7.5%および15%飼料給与でそれぞれ79.7μg、153.4μgとなった。 卵質検査成績は、イタリアンライグラスおよびアルファルファミールの給与量が増えるに従い卵黄色が改善される傾向にあった。 鶏卵1kgを生産するための飼料費は、市販飼料のみ給与の0g区の82.02円に対して、イタリアンライグラス20gおよび40g給与区がそれぞれ83.81円、93.76円となり、またアルファルファミール7.5%および15%区ではそれぞれ88.65円、88.86円となり、βカロチン強化卵の生産により飼料費が上昇した。

棒状架橋樹脂を充てんした潜熱蓄熱槽に,負荷側との接点として熱交換器を組み合わせたときの放熱特性に関するシミュレーションを行った.蓄熱槽初期温度,熱交換器負荷側入口温度,熱媒体質量流量,蓄熱槽高さ,熱媒体熱容量流量比および熱交換器移動単位数を変化させ,蓄熱槽内の熱媒体温度分布と熱交換器出入口温度の経時変化を算出した.また,蓄熱槽側の熱媒体質量流量を可変制御して熱交換器負荷側出口温度を一定値に制御する場合についても同様の考察を加えた.
