作品のことばに撃たれ、その「ことばの仕組み」が、自分のとらわれている世界を揺さぶり、瓦解させていくような文学作品の「読み」を教室の一斉授業の中でつくり出すことができないか。今回、村上春樹の『七番目の男』を取り上げて、その<語り>の構造を読むことを通じて目指したのも、そういうことだった。授業として決してうまくいったとは言えない今回の実践から、作品の深みへ誘う「読み」の授業づくりのヒントをつかもうとしたのが、今回の報告である。

One of the most important themes for the research workers of Monogatari literature today is how they regard "the subject" of expression in relation to the conception of "the system". In the process to the text theory in the Monogatari literature study the modern concept of "the subject which regards the authors in the same light as the narrators, has been destroyed and given a methodological restriction. Now it is time to criticize the text theory and the notation theory so that we may reunite the subjects of the scattered texts. Although we must persue the possibility of the logic beyond the modern perspective of the dualism of the subject and the object, it means not that we are to be involved in the ancient mass or in "the system" itself but that we are to persue the conception which can be objective to "the system". When we study a monogatari along the essense of the expression, the relationships between the method of "katari" expression and "the form" should be recognized. There we find the subjective type of the expression which is different from the logic of the modern dualistic perspective and yet is quite free

It has been said that "A Lemon" is a difficult work for teaching in class, because there are some students who never have the same sensibility as author's and they cannot understand the story. But this view depends upon the author's sensibility too much. We should analyze the structure and words of the story in detail. The fist words "a mysterious and ominous soul" have an important meaning, and the whole structure of the story is related to the relevancy between those words and a daydream of a bomb in Maruzen. This point of view is significant for both comprehention of the story and teaching in class.

光源氏はなぜか斎宮との恋におちることはない。しかし斎宮の物語は単なる挿話ではなく、背後に伊勢神宮の磁力を巡らしつつ、源氏の王権物語をダイナミックに展開させていく。そしてその要の役割を果たすのが、斎宮の母としての六条御息所である。御息所を斎宮の母という観点から捉え、これを斎宮や巫女の歴史の中に位置付けてみると、源氏物語は、律令制からやらわれたかつてのヒメの自己回復の物語としての相貌を帯びてくる。

明治二〇年前後において、同時代の歴史改良論と連動しながら〈小説〉性を戦略的に利用した伝記『経世偉勲』や、小説改良論と呼応しながら〈歴史〉を独自の形で移入した政治小説『雪中梅』といった、歴史-伝記-小説を混質化する実践が相次いで登場した。坪内逍遥は、こうした試みに対して、事実/真理や題材の選択性といった基準に基づいた、歴史伝記/小説というジャンル区分を対置し、小説に関する言説を再編していった。

本論は、「澪標」巻、退位後の朱雀院が管絃の遊びを楽しむ場面を始発とし、それが、理想の上皇像を追い求めようとする朱雀院の意志であったことを、歴史資料等をふまえながら明らかにしたものである。朱雀院は、本来あるべきはずの「遊び」の記述が二例しか見られず、他の『源氏物語』の帝たちと明確な差があるが、だからこそ、帝として、そして宇多上皇を規範とする当時の上皇の理想像に近づくために、退位後に「遊び」を自ら選び取っていたのである。

『中務内侍日記』が描く風景の特徴は、京極派和歌のそれに通じる所が大きく、春宮(天皇)の好尚を前提とした周到な作意が認められる。基調に哀愁を漂わせるのも叙景のための一手段であった。風景描写は、京極派和歌の出発に立ち会った作者がその歌風の生成過程を書き留めようとする意図に発していた。そこに、公事記録を主とする後半の記述とは形を変えながら、それに通底する対天皇(春宮)の姿勢を認めることが出来るのである。
