Naishi no Kami (Early Autumn) of Utsuho Monogatari, is important chapter that connect the first half portion and the rear half portion. Nakatada and Fujitsubo, Kanemasa and Jizyuuden, Toshikage no Musume and Emperor Suzaku, these couples had loved each other, but could not be married. In Sumo festival, they enjoy love games. In Naishi no Kami, there are many mistakes and contradictions. For example, in Fukiage, Emperor Suzaku commanded that Msayori should marry Atemiya off to Suzushi, the First Princess off to Nakatada, but this royal command changed in Naishi no kami. Nakazumi who had died in shock of Atemiy’s bridal appears in this Chapter. Other Chapters had rewrited, but Naishi no Kami had not rewrited because of sophisticted representation. Thus these conflicts caused. Some keywords and motif are reperated many times in this chapter. In Naishi no Kami, autumn wind is blowing all the time. Yomogi (wormwood) and mugura (sagebrush) reminisce deep affection and Platonic love of Kaguyahime and the Emperor of Taketori Monogatari. The episodes of Zyohuku and Kuramoti no Miko reminisce Toshikage’s drift. This Monogatri tries to return to starting point. Naishi no Kami was the requiem for Toshikage. By repetition of keywords and motif, theme of this chapter has been emphasized.

It has been widely admitted that the main text of Husserliana Bd. X is very difficult to interpret consistently because of its compilation. The first version of the main text appeared in one of the Jahrbuch (1928) collected from various Husserl's manuscripts written in a comparatively wide period, and edited by Edith Stein and Martin Heiddeger in an arbitrary way. At last in the year 2013, the PhB version of Husserliana Bd. X was published by Rudolf Bernet with a long introduction, in which he confirms the date of each manuscript. So we investigate the textual genesis of it and the whole structure and relations of the problems concerning the time-consciousness on the basis of such a textual criticism. Especially we propose a new interpretation of the diagram of time-consciousness of §10 and its text, namely; Husserl's famous diagram originated in the diagram drawn by Franz Brentano, which we can know through the report by Carl Stumpf. We conclude that it is impossible to understand the phrase 'die stetige Reihe der Ordinaten' in the text of §10 without knowing Brentano's diagram.

There has been a long discussion since antiquity about the abrupt ending of the Aeneid which leaves the readers with a very disturbing impression: at the decisive duel in the twelfth book Aeneas, after having hesitated for a moment and inclined to spare Turnus' life, kills him, suddenly driven by fury and anger. On this unusual last scene the ancient commentary of Servius has presented a typical "optimistic" view, attributing the glory of pietas both to the hero's hesitation and his killing for revenge. The present paper attempts to offer another interpretation, which will acknowledge his hesitation as showing a great desire to be relieved of the burden of sorrowful and useless war and his vengeance for the death of Pallas as revealing his deep sense of guilt and his innermost longing to punish himself. Thus the death of Turnus would be foreshadowing Aeneas' own dying in the near future which is predicted repeatedly in the epic. We shall arrive at this conclusion after the detailed consideration of how the hero reacts to the deaths of Dido, Pallas, Lausus and others.

In the Heian era, the invention of kana (Japanese syllabary) has brought about many linguistic changes. Especially the changes were remarkable in the field of literature. Many monogataris (novels or romans) were written in kana, read by many people. In waka, kakekotoba (homonymy), a kind of rhetoric has been polished. At last, Japanese had got letter they can write their own language more easilly and exactly. As soon as kana was invented, Taketori-Monogatari, the oldest monogatari, called “A father of monogatari”, was written. This monogatari contains 15 waka. This monogatari consists of topics about 5 noblemen’s proposal to Kaguya-Hime and topics of emperor’s proposal and Hime’s return to the moon. In the story of 5men’s proposal, waka is skillful with kakekotoba and humorous, contrary in the story of emperor’s proposal and return, waka is simple, serious and lyrical. The difference between the two shows Kaguya-Hime’s change into a human. And it is important that exchanges of waka form human relations in this monogatari. As the progress of monogatari, poetic lyricism arises, but, it is negated. In the scene of Mt. Fuji, finally monogatari has regained the poetic lyricism. Taketori-Monogatari has been enriched by the use of kana.

I am very sorry that I didn't know the new edition had included "Drunken" in the 8th volume. I wondered if it is right, I could not think so. The question was the reason, why the new edition put the "Drunken" in the "Marching Saints". I tried to think about the reason. It is very difficult to answer the question. It is the Hotta's problem about nation and religion.
