ゲーミフィケーションは,ゲームの要素や考え方をゲーム以外の分野で応用していこうという取り組みであり,ゲームの持つ人を楽しませ熱中させる要素や仕組みを用いて,ユーザのモチベーションを向上し,日常の行動を活性化させようとするものである.さらにSNSの機能を用いることにより,他者と自分とを比較して競争心を煽る,または一人でやっているわけではなくみんなとやっているという共同作業の楽しみによるモチベーションの増加も狙えると言われている.本稿では,ゲーミフィケーションを用いて家事をゲーミフィケーション化する試みについて報告する.今回,家事のなかでも面倒と思われている掃除を対象とした.掃除機に対して加速度を検出できるデバイスを取り付け,そのデバイスを介してゲームの要素を付与することで,少しでも楽しく掃除が出来るようにすることを試みた.評価実験より,ゲーム的要素を加えたことにより掃除がより楽しくなったという結果が示される結果を得られた.

近年,大学などの教育機関では,学習用コンテンツとして講師映像と講義資料を組み合わせたものが制作されているが,単調な表示方法であるため学習者を飽きさせてしまうという問題がある.そこで本稿では,学習者にとって飽きにくい講義コンテンツを自動的に作成することができるシステム「MINO: Multimedia system an Instructor needs Not Operate」を提案する.著者らは映像の単調さを改善するために,誘目性(目が惹き付けられる)に着目し,画面に並列表示された講師映像と講義資料の表示サイズを交互に拡大縮小することで提示映像のスイッチングを行い,講義資料中の重要語句(講師の発話と一致した語句)を誘目性の高い表示へ変換することが自動的にできるシステムの開発を行った.MINO では,音声認識によりテキスト化した講師の発話情報と講義資料内の文字列とをマッチングさせることで重要語句の特定とともに,映像の切替えタイミングとフォントの変換タイミングを自動的に決定することができる.評価実験の結果,本提案手法は従来の提示方法に比べ,学習者を飽きさせないという評価を得ることができた.本稿では従来の提示方法について分析した結果を示し,開発したシステムの設計,実装,評価について述べる.Recently, e-learning contents that combine the speaker video with supporting materials are produced in educational institutions such as universities. However, there is a problem that those systems make learners become tired because produced contents are monotonous. In this paper, we propose the system "MINO: Multimedia system an Instructor needs Not Operate" that can automatically edit the recorded speaker video and supporting materials. MINO allows users to automatically convert words in the supporting materials into conspicuous ones according to the utterance of the speaker. We used speech recognition to convert voice of lecturer into character string. Their data are matched up words into the supporting materials so that speaker video is synchronized with supporting materials. Through evaluations of the system, we verified the effectiveness of our system.

電子プレゼンテーションが普及した現在でも,大学などの教育機関において黒板を用いた講義は根強い支持を得ている.著者らは,講師が講義前にビデオカメラを1 台設置しておくだけで,その収録映像から自動的に講師の動画映像と板書の静止画とを作成し,即座にインターネット配信可能とする講義自動収録システムChalkTalk を構築した.板書静止画については,画像処理を施して講師の姿を消去する工夫を施している.1 台の固定ビデオカメラのみで黒板全体を明瞭に記録するために解像度の高い民生用ハイビジョンカメラ(HDV カメラ)を用いて実装した.本論文では,システムデザイン,実装,および,評価について述べる.Although lectures and seminars using presentation software became popular, a chalk talk is still commonly used among education institutions such as schools and universities. We developed ChalkTalk that automatically produces E-learning materials from videotaped chalk talks. The system separately extracts a lecturer's image and writing on blackboard from video images recorded with a single high-definition digital camcorder, and stores the former as a streaming video and the latter as a series of snapshot images.

今日、就職の面接やお見合いなどで用いられる個人写真はスピード写真機や写真屋で撮影されることが多い。しかしながら、撮り直しができないことや気に入らない写真が出力されてしまうことが多いという問題がある。従来、画像認識による客観的な評価によって写真を選別する技術は存在するが、ユーザの好みなどの主観的評価を反映することはできていない。ユーザの好みに合った写真を的確に選ぶためには、ユーザの好みを推定する新たな仕組みが必要である。そこで本稿では視線を用いた顔写真の自動選別システムを提案する。本システムでは写真閲覧時の視線の軌跡を用いて好みの写真を自動的に選択することが可能である。Recently, the photograph of user's face used to job-interview and marriage meeting is often taken in the instant photograph machine or the photograph shop. However, the user cannot retake and users might not like the photograph. Although there are technologies that evaluate the photograph by using the image recognition, they cannot consider the user's subjective evaluation. To choose a corresponding photograph to user's preference accurately, a new mechanism to presume user's preference is necessary. So, we propose the automatic selection system of the photograph by using eye movement. Our system can automatically select the photograph of user's preference by using direction of eyes when the user is looking at the photograph.

現在,気軽に使える移動手段として自転車が利用されることが多い.しかし,自動車のような免許制度がなく,自転車事故に対する危機意識の低さがある.そこで本稿では,危険箇所や注意箇所などに対し運転者に注意喚起を行う,自転車用安全運転支援システムを提案する.本システムは,自転車運転時に 3 軸加速度センサーを用いて道路状況を推定し,GPS から得た位置情報と合わせて地図上に書き込み,Web 上で他のユーザーと共有する.その地図データを用いて自転車運転時に危険箇所や注意箇所で運転者に警告や注意といった注意喚起を行う.注意喚起の方法として,運転中の画面注視は危険であるため,振動機器を腕に取り付け,その振動パターンで情報を通知するようにした.A bicycle is used as a transportation vehicle which can be used casually in many cases. However, there is no license system like a car and there is lowness of a sense of crisis to a cycling accident. Then, we propose the safe driving supporting system for bicycles which can gives warning and cautions to a driver near a dangerous places. Three axis acceleration sensor is used for this system, and it senses a road condition. The positional information acquired from GPS, are shared among users on the Internet. Warning and cautions are notified to a driver near dangerous places. As gazing at a screen is dangerous while riding bicycle, a vibrating device is attached to an arm.

シナリオの存在するシーンを一般のユーザが撮影する場合,被写体の数が多かったり,撮影環境がそのつど異なったりするため,効果的なカメラワークを事前に計画することは困難である.そこで本論文ではシナリオ情報に基づいてカメラワークを自動的に計画する手法を提案する.撮影対象としてオーケストラ演奏を想定し,シナリオである楽譜から被写体の候補を決定する方法と,各カメラのショットを決定するための優先度の計算方法を定義している.実際にショットを接続して1 本の映像を編集する実験の結果,提案手法はシナリオや優先度を考慮しないショットで編集したものよりも変化に富んだ映像を制作できることが分かった.また,カメラの配置に適応したショットを提示できることが分かった.

近年,幼児期の生活習慣の確立が難しいことが問題視されている.生活習慣中でも,毎日かかさずに行う習慣の一つとして歯磨きは代表的なものであるといえる.しかし,歯磨きは幼児が自ら率先して行うことが少ないことから,保護者の悩みの一つとなっている.本論文ではスマートフォンの普及に伴い,地磁気センサーを利用して幼児の歯磨きを支援できる migaco を提案する.幼児期の子どもの歯みがきの習慣づけと,子どもと保護者のコミュニケーションのきっかけを作ることが目的である.Android 端末上での web アプリケーションとして開発を行い,端末に搭載されている地磁気センサーが歯ブラシに装着した磁石に反応しカウントを行う歯ブラシ動作計測機能を実装し,評価を行った.評価実験の結果,コミュニケーションの面では高い評価を得たが,機能面の改良を行う必要があることがわかった.

従来のテレビ会議システムは,表示サイズや表示解像度が限られているため「誰が発言者か分かりにくい」または「発言者の表情をとらえにくい」などの問題点があった.著者らは,会議室内の参加者の中から発言者を自動的に検出し,検出した発言者を拡大表示して遠隔地に伝送することが可能なテレビ会議システムを構築することを狙いとして研究を実施している. 本論文では,このような1拠点に10人程度が参加できる1拠点多人数参加型テレビ会議システムを構成するための,マイクロフォンアレイと映像処理を用いた映像表示法について述べる.汎用PCと市販音響機器のみから構成されていることが特徴であり,特殊なハードウェアを使用することなく,通常の会議室環境において10人程度の会議参加者から発言者の方向を検出して拡大表示することが可能である. マイクロフォンアレイからの音声情報をデジタル処理して発言者の位置を特定する手法と,複数の人物を含む映像をデジタル処理して発言者の人物の上半身映像を拡大表示する手法によって実現した.また,紙をめくるノイズが発言と間違われないよう工夫を行った.Due to the limitation of display size or resolution of traditional TV conference systems, we can not see detailed expression on speaker's face shown on a TV screen, or can not even see who is speaking from the remote site. We have been developing a TV conference system where a speaker is automatically identified and his/her face is zoomed in on the TV screen, so that remote participants can better read speaker's facial expression. In this paper, a microphone array and video processing for TV conference systems are described. Our microphone array system is unique because it consists only of one consumer PC, an extra PC sound card, two general cameras, and four omni directional microphones; no other special hardware or special operating system is required. It has a capability that a speaker can be detected out of more than 10 participants in a meeting room. The system expands speaker's upper-body image based-on the speaker's position detected with the microphone array. Then we propose a method to prevent the system from mistaking paper flip-flap noise for voice from a speaker.

本論文では,PC の操作画面やアプリケーション画面をほぼリアルタイムに配信するWeb システムのための伝送量圧縮手法「Interframe Compression Method for HTML Push-out」(ICMHP)を提案する.著者らが実装したQuickBoard は,PC のデスクトップ画面をスナップショット画像として画像ファイルに保存し,これをHTTP でWeb サーバからWeb ブラウザに擬似プッシュ転送するWeb システムであるが,ICMHP はこのような情報プッシュ型Web システムに適した伝送量圧縮手法である.ICMHP は,プラグインやActiveX 等のプラットフォームに依存したコンポーネントを用いることなく実装できることが特徴である.このため,汎用的なWeb ブラウザや,PDA 等に搭載されている簡易Web ブラウザにPC 画面を配信する際に用いることが可能である.本論文では,実際の教育現場の要求を観察した結果について報告し,この観察結果に基づいて作成したプロトタイプシステムについて述べる.We developed "Interframe Compression Method for HTML Push-out" (ICMHP), a method integrating interframe compression mechanism used in video compression technology with web-server-side technology, delivering computer-screen images to standard web browsers, or even PDA portable web browsers. This paper describes a QuickBoard web-server system that implemented ICMHP scheme. The system allows users to deliver computer-screen images of any application to more than 100 web browsers running on various devices in quasi-real-time. That no client software except a standard web browser is needed for the user's PC is an important feature of the system. This paper describes the implementation and evaluation of the prototype we developed.

現在,ワープロソフトを使用しての文章作成が主流である.しかし,従来技術による文字入力は入力内容をそのまま日本語変換するだけである.これでは表現の仕方が自分任せであるため,語彙が豊富な人でないと偏った言い回しになってしまう.そのため表現が偏り単調な文章になってしまう.そこで,本研究では日本語入力システム (IME) を利用して変換単語に使用されることの多い修飾語を Web 上の文章から取得,また単語の類語を表示することで表現の偏りの解消や発想支援を行うシステムを作成した.評価実験によりシステムの有用性と課題を知ることができた.

プログラミング授業は大学や専門学校等の情報系学科では必須科目となっているが,大学で初めて習う学生の多くはプログラミングに対する苦手意識が強い.そこで本研究では,プログラミング初学者がかかえる問題を早期に発見できるプログラミング学習支援システムを構築し,実際の演習授業で運用を試みた.つまずいている学生の早期発見と,多くの学生が共通にかかえる問題の発見を可能にすることが本研究の目的である.本研究の目的を達成するために,Webブラウザ上で動作するプログラミング演習支援システムを構築し,学生の操作ログ・エラーログを収集して解析できるようにした.評価実験と改良を繰り返し行い,結果として,学生の学習状況を把握しやすくなったことが分かった.The programming exercise is a required subject in the department of information systems in colleges and universities. Most of the students are programming beginners right after they entered university. Our goals are to enable to detect the students who have stumbled, and know problems that many students are facing in common. For this purpose, we built programming exercise support system that runs on a Web browser. The system is able to collect and analyze students' error logs. As a result of the repeated experiments and improvements, the system enabled lecturers to easily grasp the situation of the programming class.

本稿では,写真共有と Twitter 投稿によるコミュニケーションが可能なデジタルフォトフレームシステム 「TwiPhoto」 を提案する.ユーザは,携帯電話またはデジカメで撮った写真や写真に対するコメントを本システムの画像掲示板に自由にアップロードできる.投稿した写真やコメントは,Twitter にも並行して投稿され,自分の Twitter ホームに掲載される.フォトフレームを起動すると,自分が Twitter でフォローしている友人らの新規投稿写真を自動的に取得して,画面上でスライドショー表示を見ることができる.このとき写真についているコメントが写真の上に重畳して流れる.さらに,見ている写真に対して携帯電話を利用してコメントを追加投稿することも可能である.TwiPhoto 開発の背景,システムデザイン,実装,評価について主に述べる.In this paper, TwiPhoto, a digital photo frame enabling online communication through sharing photos and twitter comments, is proposed. You can upload comments and photos taken by digital camera or mobile phone to the bulletin board system on the Internet. The uploaded comments and photos are also posted into Twitter. When you start photo frame, the photo frame automatically downloads comments and photos that were uploaded by your friends that you are following in Twitter, and shows the downloaded comments and photos in a slide show manner. You may add comments on the photo displayed on your photo frame by using a cell phone. System designs, implementation issues and evaluation are described.

現在,インターネット上には情報発信の場として Web ページが多数存在しており,企業等では商品情報を公開し更なる顧客獲得のために使用している.Web ページの使いやすさによって商品の売上が左右されるということなどから,より多くの人に Web ページを見てもらうようにするため,Web ユーザビリティの向上が重要となっている.Web ユーザビリティを評価するためにユーザがクリックしたログの解析など様々な手法が考えられているが,その中の一つの手法として,視線を使用した評価方法がある.しかし従来の視線を用いた評価手法では,ユーザが具体的に何を見ていたかわからない,また分析に手間がかかるなどといった問題があった.そこで本研究では,従来行われていなかった Web ページの評価方法を考え,より簡単に評価できるツールを提案した.そして,Web ページ上でユーザが何を見ていたかという情報を取得するツールと,取得した情報を解析し Web ページの改善を手伝うためのツールを開発した.A lot of Web pages exist on the Internet, The Web pages are used for sending advertisement and acquiring customers. Because companies want more people to see the advertisement about their merchandise, the improvement of the Web usability is important. Various methods like the analysis of the log that the user clicked were proposed.There was an evaluation method using the glance.However, there was a problem that people didn't understand what the user was concretely looking at. Moreover, there was a problem of taking time to analyze. Then, the paper proposed the method of evaluating the Web page that had not been done in the past.

現在のプログラミング講義・演習科目では,完成したソースコードを示して解説する手法が主流であるが,この手法では,学生がエラー解決方法を習得することが難しいという問題がある.そこで本研究では,ティーチングアシスタント(TA)が学生にエラーの解決方法を教えている状況を動画記録し,学生とTA間で共有することができるプログラミング演習支援システムを構築した.本システムは,TAが学生のトラブルを解決している過程を記録して資料化するクライアントツールと,この資料を閲覧できるようにする資料閲覧サイトから構成されている.評価実験の結果,トラブルを解決している過程を記録して資料化することに一定の有用性があることが示唆された.Recently, programming class is mostly done using electronic slide-show that shows completed source codes. It is difficult, however, for students to learn how to resolve errors. In this paper, we propose a process-recording-based programming education system composed of the process-recording tool that produces a video file and the process-recording material viewing sites where the process-recording material shows how to solve problems in programming. As a result of the experiment, recording the process of debugging and sharing it were proved somewhat effective to teach how to resolve errors.

板書や電子スライドを用いた講義をE-ラーニング教材として提供できる講義自動収録・配信・理解度判定システムを構築した.システムは,黒板の前の講師を自動追尾録画し,その映像からE-ラーニング教材を即座に作成することができる.研究成果として,ChalkTalkコアモジュールの動物体認識精度向上を実現した他,Android用プレーヤー,HTML5版プレーヤー(Android, iOS, Windows, MacOS, LinuxOSに対応)を実装した.

従来の Web ユーザビリティ評価では,評価対象となる Web ページでのユーザの視線の軌跡,マウス・キーボード操作等のユーザ操作を記録や,サーバ上での HTTP ログの分析によって,ユーザ行動の把握を行ってきた.しかしながら,ユーザが Web ページ閲覧中に行ったブラウザアプリケーションに対する操作に関しては記録されておらず考慮されていなかった.そこで本研究では,タブ操作やページ内検索などのブラウザ操作履歴を記録,Web ページ上への可視化を行うことが可能なシステムの実装を行った.評価としてインターネット上にある Web サイトに対して,本システムを利用した結果,ブラウザ操作履歴から Web コンテンツの改善案の提示する事が可能であると分かった.In this paper, we propose Web content improvement system based on the histories of Web browser operation for usability evaluation, which enables logging and displaying operation history at the time of browsing the Web pages. Preceding studies have recorded eye tracking, server access logs, and keyboard mouse histories as methods for improving a Web page. However, they haven't recorded browser operations like the tab control or the find-bar control. Then, we experimentally evaluated the effectiveness of the system on real Web sites. The result of our experiment clearly showed that it was possible to improve the web site.

近年,デジタルビデオカメラは小型化・軽量化しており,運動会や結婚式の撮影,旅行先での撮影など,きわめて幅広い分野で用いられている.しかしながら,いざ一般の人がビデオ編集をしてみてもなかなか満足できるような映像にならず,単調な映像の連続に感じられることが多い.一般撮影者の作成する映像は,単一角度から撮影した映像がほとんどであり,また,ビデオ編集に使う映像素材も自分自身が撮影した映像のみを用いていることが主たる原因の1 つである.本論文では,同じイベントに参加した複数撮影者の映像をサーバに集めて共有し,インターネット経由で映像編集できるようにするWeb システム「MediaBlocks」を提案する.MediaBlocks を利用すれば,同じイベントを撮影した人たちが映像素材を交換しあうことが容易にできるようになるため,たとえば,自分が撮影できなかったシーンを取り込むことや,プロフェッショナルの映像技法にそった多彩なビデオ編集が可能となる.MediaBlocks は,複数の撮影者が撮影した映像をサーバに集め,自動時間同期処理を施して整理し,Web ブラウザを利用してインターネット経由で映像編集できるようになっている.本論文では,システムの設計,実装,評価,改良について述べる.Recently, the spread of portable digital video cameras enabled us to easily record various family events. Although videotaping and video editing have got quite popular recently, the quality of the produced video has not been improved much. For instance, movies edited by nonprofessionals are likely to be a sequence of monotonous scenes. When editing home movies, users usually use video sources from their own single camcorder. This is one of the significant reasons why nonprofessionals can not create high-quality home movies. We developed MediaBlocks,a web-based video editing system for sharing personal video clips. In the system,video sources are collected from multi-users' camcorders via the Internet, shared among the users, and edited through each user's web browser. The system allows users to use other users' video clips, each of which is spontaneously videotaped by different digital video camcorder, and also enables them to create home movies according to the professionals' important editing rules. The system can extract the date and time information of video-recording from the digital video clips, and synchronize them automatically. Through evaluations of the system, we verified the effectiveness of our system.
