Several works have been reported of the concentration of oleyl oleate from sperm oil. But the oleate oleyl concentrated from sperm oil is so unstable due to the presence of highly unsaturated components that the application of oleyl oleate is limited. It is therefore, necessary to reduce these highly unsaturated components in the oleyl oleate concentrate. The authors attempted to decrease the amounts of polyunsaturated components in sperm body oil by two procedures. The one was to thermally polymerize sperm oil in the presence of active earth, and the other was to hydrogenate the oil selectively with Cu-Cr catalyst under atmospheric pressure. The oleyl oleate was concentrated from thus treated sperm body oils and untreated oil through molecular distillation and fractional crystallization. A.O.M. stabilities of these oleyl oleate concentrates were determined according to the A.O.C.S. analytical method. The oleyl oleate concentrate obtained from thermally polymerized sperm body oil was most stable, while the oleyl oleate from untreated sperm oil was unstable most.

A gas chromatography/selected ion monitoring (GC/SIM) method for the simultaneous determination of aconitum alkaloids such as aconitine, mesaconitine and hypaconitine has been developed. Aconitum alkaloids were converted to their TMS ether derivatives by treatment with N, O-bis (trimethylsilyl) trifluoroacetamide in pyridine at room temperature. The gas chromatograms of reaction products showed in each case a well-resolved doublet consisting of a major (>70%) and a minor components, when analyzed using a 5%-phenylmethylsilicone cross-linked fused silica capillary column. These alkaloid derivatives gave simplified mass spectra with a base peak at m/z 698 for aconitine, m/z 684 for mesaconitine and m/z 596 for hypaconitine. When GC/SIM of aconitine was carried out under monitoring of the ion at m/z 698,detection limit was 10 picograms with signal-to-noise ratio of greater than 10. Linearity was obtained over a range from at least 10 to 1000pg. Similar results were obtained with another alkaloids. The use of this method for the measurement of aconitum alkaloids in biological fluids is described.

For purpose to obtain the fundamental data of securing the reliability of welded joints, the establishment of welding control technique to make weld defects of arc welded joints in the natural condition, the design and trial making of ultrasonic point focussed probe in order to detect quantitatively planar defects and their application were carried out. And also, effects of the lack of penetration with one side welding of SM50B steels on the fatigue test results of welded joints were investigated. The main results are as follows; (1) Relation between the lack of penetration and welding condition in gas metal arc (GMA) welding were made clear. (2) The point focusing angle probe using spherical tansduser in ultrasonic detecting method was applied to the measurement of the size of lack of penetration. In case that the root face of butt welded joint was gas cut, the detecting accuracy was about±0.5mm. However, in case that there were blow-holes or some weld defects on the way of passing of ultrasonic beam or near the root, the size of planar defect was often mistaken. And also, in case that the root face was closely attached by welding, the detection of lack of penetration was often difficult. (3) The uniaxial stress fatigue strength of arc welded joints for SM50B steels which have the lack of penetration of about 2∿4mm in depth, without reinforcement and finished surface, was extremely lower than that of base metal and welded joints which have full penetration, without reinforcement and finished surface And the fatigue strength of arc welded joints with reinforcement showed the intermediate values between that of base metal or welded joints which have without reinforcement and finished surface and that of welded joint which have the lack of penetration of about 2∿4mm in depth, lowered fairly in comparison with that of base metal. These test results were discussed with non-linear fracture mechanics, consequently, the fatigue limits of welded joints are evaluated with effective notch depth as a whole.

慢性的便秘で乾燥皮膚を有する20歳~39歳までの女性56名を2群に分け,LB81乳酸菌(<i>Lactobacillus delbrueckii</i> subsp. <i>bulgaricus</i> 2038株ならびに<i>Streptococcus thermophilus</i> 1131株)を使用したヨーグルトあるいはこれにコラーゲンペプチド(CP)ならびにセラミド(CE)を配合したヨーグルトをそれぞれ120 mlずつ1日2回,4週間摂取させた.摂取前後の比較で,両群ともに皮膚の弾力性,乾燥および鱗屑の程度が改善された.CP・CE含有ヨーグルト摂取群ではキメ密度が有意に改善された.肌状態に関するアンケート調査(19項目)では,両群とも多くの項目で改善がみられた.両群ともに便秘の症状が有意に改善されたことから,本結果にヨーグルトの整腸作用が関与している可能性が考えられた.<br>
1 0 0 0 「場所の聖性」の変容・再構築とツーリズムに関する総合的研究
本研究は、宗教の適応的変容と再構築の側面を教会や社寺、自然的景観、迫害や殉教が起こった場所など、様々な「トポス」がもつ「聖性」に焦点を当せながら、その変容を、それを促す大きな要因の一つと考えられる「ツーリズム」との関わりのなかで明らかにしようというものである。近代社会における、交通網の発達、テクノロジーの飛躍的発展は、本来的に「聖なる場所」がもっていた限定性、秘匿性を無意味化し、だれでもがそこにアクセスすることを可能にした。とくに、ツーリズムの発展は「場所の聖性」の性格やあり方に容赦ない変更を加え、それを観光の新たな「商品」に仕立て上げようと試みている。長崎県の外海、平戸、五島列島といった地域において、これまでごく少数の人々にとってしか特別な意味をもっていなかったキリシタンの殉教地や聖地さえも、容赦なく「観光のまなざし」に曝されることになったのである。しかし、その過程で、教会や社寺、殉教地などの「場所」をめぐる新たな「語り」や「伝統」を再構築させる契機となっているようにもみえる。それは、沖縄のように、場所の聖性のもっともアーカイック形態である「御嶽」を、沖縄の根本的な宗教・伝統文化という「語り」のなかに包摂することで、自らの文化的アイデンティティを積極的に構築していこうとする試みにもつながっていく。もちろん、ツーリズムはつねに伝統的な聖地を変化させるわけではなく、ツーリズムに密接に関わる関連産業が聖地のもつ「真正性」、「歴史性」を利用して、伊勢神宮の参道に誕生した商店街のように、新たなマーケットの開拓をおこなう場合もある。さらにまた、出雲地域の「神在祭」のように、現代的ツーリズムの影響とは直接関わりなく、祭りとその場所が様々な要因によって歴史的に変化している場合もあり、「場所の聖性」の変容は必ずしも近代的現象でないことは注意する必要があろう。
