This paper reconsiders the relation between Iliad and Aethiopis from a perspective that is different from previous studies by examining whether the Iliad is modeled on stories of Aethiopis. 1. Three-fourths of all the 18 characters (13 characters), excluding the ones who died and Nestor from the 22 characters who appear in the funeral games in honor of Patroklos, Iliad 23.257–897, are included among the 30 warriors of the wooden horse in Quintus Smyrnaeus’s Posthomerica 12.314–32 (11 participants of the games except two who died and Agamemnon are included among the 30 warriors). Moreover, among these 11 participants, Epeios (a builder of the wooden horse) appears only in the funeral games of Patroklos, while four other participants (Eumelos, Euryalos, Polypoites, and Leonteus) do not play an active role in Iliad. This paper focuses on the abovementioned points, by examining the references that Quintus used, and it suggests that the poem (Aethiopis ?) used as a source by the poet of the funeral games of Patroklos and the story about the warriors of the wooden horse were originally closely related. 2. This paper examines previous discussions on the chronological relation between the funeral games of Achilleus and those of Patroklos, and indicates that Achilleus’ funeral games were older than Patroklos’ funeral games. Furthermore, it suggests the possibility of the latter having been composed around 600 B.C., based on previous research on the linguistic and stylistic analysis of the texts as well as inquiries into the old customs of funeral games and the development of the athletic games in ancient Greece. Because of the abovementioned analysis, this paper considers that the poet of the funeral games of Patroklos borrowed the stories of Achilleus, which is related to the wooden horse. In conclusion, the paper claims that the poet of Iliad was influenced by stories ofAethiopis composed by Arktinos whose Iliu Persis (Sack of Troy) depicted the active roles of the warriors of the wooden horse.

Though Gutenberg had invented printing already in the middle of the 15th century,we had to wait another 150 years, until the first newspaper was published in Strasbourg. The reason for this delay is discussed and clarified by Behringer (2003). He argues, that the official post system of the Holy Roman Empire, which started in 1490 but really stabilized and expanded after the 1590s, made a vital impact on the realization of newspapers. The simple reason, that a newspaper needs information for articles, at first weekly then later daily, seems to be plausible. According to some sources such as Dallmeyer (1977), Münzberg (1994)and other scholars it could be posited, that whole information systems at that time began to cooperate and offered an indispensable condition for the founding of the epoch-making news media. In this way the second newspaper the“Aviso”in Wolfenbüttel in North Germany was made possible because of cooperation of the Reichspost and the Nürnberger city courier-system. Behringer (2003)points out another important fact, namely some similarities between the “Meßrelation”of Michael von Aitzing and the first weekly newspaper “Relation”of Johann Carolus in Strasbourg: the titles and the styles. But also Behringer assumes a mutual ideological background of both authors,a supposition which requires further subtle consideration. While this article discusses promoting factors for the emergence of newspapers, it is still indispensable to consider hindering factors such as censorship, because we must be able to explain why England or France with their functioning post systems could publish a newspaper only later than the German speaking areas.

This paper discusses Corporate Social Capital and Public Relations. This paper overviewed the Social Capital studies, especially early studies in sociology field, proposed the framework to evaluate Social Capital in a capital. Social Capital has the merit to reduce transaction costs, and should be clearly positioned as a component of capital of corporation. Using the concept of the Corporate Social Capital, to rethink the definition of Public Relations, this paper proposed the following definition of Public Relations: Public Relations are the effective action to create the foundation for effective management by gaining the trust to build up the relationship between the organization and its stakeholders, accumulating the Corporate Social Capital, and reducing transaction costs in society.

This paper aims to discuss the brand loyalty in a brand crisis by the content analysis of the buzz on an internet blog. In the prior research on a brand loyalty, only the positive side which promotes the competitive advantage of a company and growth as a merit of a loyalty has been emphasized. However, we seldom argued about the merit of the loyalty in the business reconstruction phase in negative environment, such as a brand crisis. The purpose of this research is to analyze the internet blog contents on the brand crisis of the Japanese small and medium-sized food companies ("Ishiya-seika", "Akafuku", "Bishonen-shuzo") which happened in the past, and to check a high loyalty customer's existence. Like "A friend in need is a friend indeed", the consumers who disseminate positive information also in the time of a brand crisis are the high loyalty customer. The following became clear by research. When a company caused a brand crisis, about ten percent of blog reports were published with the positive comment. Moreover, in the company which achieved recovery, it became clear that not less than 10% of positive comments are comments about the loyalty to goods. This research suggested that a high loyalty customer might support the company in a brand crisis.
