In Japan, there are about 40 preserved ships, which are historical as training sailing ships, passenger-cargo ships, battle ships and etc. But, there are many tasks for preserving these ships. At some preserved historical ship, many damages at hull, deck, house an deck fittings have been appeared. The purpose of this study is definition of the most suitable maintenance method for such ships. The process of the study is as followed. (1)Make the current list of the preserved and reconstructed ships in Japan. (2)Onsite reserach for 17 ships in the above list. (3)Detailed research for training sailing ships "Kaiwo maru", which has been done good maintenance by some professional seaman.

道徳ジレンマとは,1人を犠牲にして5人を救うことは道徳的に適切かどうか,というように道徳的な葛藤をもたらす状況を指す。多くの研究では,道徳判断の二重過程理論を支持しており,それは義務論判断(規範や義務感を遵守する行動が道徳的に正しいとする立場)が自動・無意識反応に基づき,功利主義判断(道徳的に正しい行動とは,結果により決定されるという倫理立場)が熟考に基づくというものである。道徳判断の反応時間について,功利主義判断の方が,義務論判断よりも長いことが知られている。この反応時間の説明として,功利主義判断は,認知的葛藤を生じるためと主張されている。本研究は,個人がどの程度,義務論を重要視しているか,功利主義を重要視しているかという道徳判断の程度と,唾液アミラーゼの程度との関連について検討することを目的とした。実験結果,唾液アミラーゼ活性の大きさと義務論判断の多さが関係することが見いだされた。

The seasonal variations of the water quality and the tidal flow in Toyama Bay were observed by using Conductivity Temperature Depth(CTD) and Acoustic Dopplar Current Profiler(ADCP). Tsushima warm current(TWC) intrudes about 100m in depth in Toyama Bay. The Japanese sea proper water is observed under 400m in depth; the salinity is from 34.1 to 34.2 and the potential temperature is around 0℃. The flow field in Toyama Bay is observed by ADCP system in the summer and the winter time.

<p>After the building of the ship taking over the "Kaiwo Maru I" was planned, in Shinminato City (at the time), devoted movement inviting her had been developed since around 1980. In 1990 she was moored at Fushiki-Toyama port temporarily, and "Kaiwomaru Park" was built two years later. In 1994, permanent preservation of her (at Fushiki-Toyama port) was decided. Afterward, events such as full-sail exhibition or maritime educational program have been held. Through these efforts, the "Kaiwo Maru I" increases visitor's knowledge and interest in ocean and ships. She also has contributed to maritime education for the younger generation. We first specify the detail of inviting her that many people made efforts and achievements after her retirement. Then, in order to leave the "Kaiwo Maru I" eternally for the next generation, we propose the significance of her existence and how she can contribute to society that are able to win people's understanding in both hardware based and software based (tangible and intangible) elements.</p>

At Toyama prefecture, there are many proverbs about weather forecasts, which are connecting with the view of Tateyama high mountains. As the altitudes of the mountains are about 2,000-3,000m, it may have many influences for the weather of Toyama area. We observed fine weather condition, when Tateyama had a good view from Toyama plain at daytime. In the night and the next day, the weather condition turned to rain or snow. For the theoritical analysis of these weather changes, we checked some upper-air chart, 500hPa, 700hPa and 850hPa. As a result, it has been guessed for that a local cold high has caused the airflows, which would arise such conditions at the plain near the mountains.
