In this paper, we focused on the process of creating information through data in a company. In most companies, such processes are conducted under business units. However, business units are lack in the motivation and the ability of innovating this process. For solving these problems, we proposed an in-company mission for empowering the function of creating information through data. Furthermore, we presented a guideline for establishing this mission in a company, including the positioning in an organization, the relationship with business units, and human resources suited for conducting above mission.

In the process of business evolution, the certainty or order of market is often disturbed by various emergent factors. Similarly, the uncertainty or disorder of market is often resolved through the formulation of chain of various activities. From the point of view of meaning network, this phenomena represent the structural change of the network, including the change of its boundary. Based on the two case studies, this paper considers the promise of meaning network approach to the business evolution.

Now, mixi is the most famous and biggest firm in Japan. And including this, the Social Networking Service (SNS) is not a no-charge business. In this business, users do not have to pay money to SNS. But, in this business, users are not clients, and also clients are not users. So, clients pay money. Now, SNS is a kind of desire development equipment and life designer. A strong point of business model of SNS is that is based on the powerfull context. So, In this article, I would like to say that we can see SNS as a context-driven business model based on the formation of tribes by the cooperative experience.

Previous studies on e-leadership attempted to understand an open cooperative system and a new integration mechanism. However, prior to analysis, the researchers assumed certain problems in the ICT situation and a certain leader who can solve the problems based on researchers' experiences in a face-to-face situation wherein they have familiarized themselves. This is what I call the self-contained logic of the romance of leadership. I perform analytical procedures based on the original definition of leadership, and investigate a particular case of an online project developing web-applications in this study in order to overcome such methodological limitations. Finally, I find some leadership actions traditionally unnoticed by many leadership researchers who have implicitly assumed the face-to-face situation, and show the dynamic process that drives the leadership actions and the influence of these actions.

The purpose of this paper is to discuss about the issue of sign system in the nuclear power plant in Japan. According to our research, Takahama plant and Fukushima the first and the second plants have different sign systems each other. Especially each sign for emergency was designed by different concept. We emphasize that such sign for emergency should be concerned with the view of labors in order to save their lives. In this paper, ethnomethodological approach is recommended for such design practice to avoid risk.

In the management information field, the language education of a computer is important. In the conventional language education, it is a curriculum centering on grammar. However we are able to learn the essence of a management information system trough developing an operation system. In this paper, we propose the methodology in which beginners can also develop an operation system easily. First, students deepen knowledge of an operation system by experiencing a business game. Next, students develop system. By developing system, students use structured programming and object-oriented approach. Our methodology is also method by active learning.

Market environment surrounding enterprises and various organizations is globalized ever faster and very fluid. Establishment of sustainable competitive advantage is sought for every organization to develop, survive and adapt in such managerial circumstances. Innovation is one of useful managerial principle. In this paper, the applicability of Actor-Network Theory (ANT) as an analytical viewpoint to innovation studies was discussed. ANT is a prime example of the Socio-Technical approach. First, precedent innovation studies were surveyed and current streams of the studies were confirmed. Then, precedent innovation studies applied ANT were surveyed and the differences between them were clarified. From these differences, the usefulness and applicability of ANT as an analytical viewpoint to innovation studies were concluded. One of reasons is, ANT analyzes innovation from not the viewpoint of reductionism but the viewpoint of relationship. Furthermore, the viewpoint of ANT has an affinity for the viewpoint of innovation studies in general management studies, especially the viewpoint that focuses on process and network. Starting on the study of innovation using ANT, it will have the complexity that all things are treated as variables without the assumption that something is constant tacitly. However it has the possibility to discuss the innovation topic from the difference views and to derive some unique results. Lastly, two issues for innovation studies using ANT were brought.

This research paper discusses the availability and theoretical bounds of Cultured Industry Systems Approach, and in addition,the availability of Configuration Approach as a new approach which overcome its bounds is examined.In this regard, this paper analyze the case of Avex Group Holdings Inc. with use of Organigraph which is the analytical tool, and verify the possible application of Organigraph to discuss the availability of Configuration Approach.

A lot of vicious acts under the cover of the Great East Japan Earthquake are reported. For example, they are vicious email and chain mail, wild rumors without grounds or false rumors. About a nuclear power generation accident and radioactive contamination, various false rumors and wild rumors have flowed on internet, and it was argued a deletion request and dispatch regulation of wild rumors without grounds or false rumors. In this paper, through analysis of a legal side of the false rumor and chain mail related to the Great East Japan Earthquake I consider possibility of laws and regulations for wild rumors on Internet.

Technology research has until the present aimed at understanding technology as an artificial matter constituted by physical elements and social elements in order to avoid treating technology as a physical cause of change. However, when technology is perceived as a network formed by different kinds of material as black boxes, the merkmals which characterize technology are vanish, leading to the disappearance of the technology. This article deduces a plan to recover the technology which has been vanished as an object of analysis in technology research by a rereading of the actor-network theory. Under this framework, the path will be found to recover the vanished technology from an analysis of the institutionalization of technical innovation in the making of the NC lathe machine tool market.

In recent management information studies, actor-network theory (ANT) drew attention as the theoretical framework for understanding the increasingly sophisticated practice of information management that is neither purely technological nor social and to reexamine the dichotomy. However, this paper observes the revival of micro/macro and society/technology dichotomies in management information research based on ANT. In this paper, I shed light on the theoretical reason behind problems and the potential value of ANT in AIS.

The aim of this paper is to explore the constructive aspects of numbers based on literature reviews for accounting researches, which employed sociology of translation. Focusing on the materialized aspect of accounting, we argue that accounting plays the role of constructing the practices. First, accounting numbers are constructed in the relations within the organizational practice and, at the same time, they influence the network which enables these practices. Second, accounting numbers as inscriptions facilitate the creating a distance and an order due to the process of mobilizations. Third, inscriptions also mediate actions through the performativity of knowledge with it.

The Internet of Things (IoT) will change the ways we live, work and play. IoT includes everything from high-tech consumer wearables such as the FitBit to home automation tools like the Nest thermostat. It encompasses monitoring tools for mining equipment and apps that help consumers monitor their appliances. IoT is the digital interactive connectivity between people, animals, devices, structures and places. IoT is the network of physical objects or "things" embedded with electronics, software, sensors and connectivity to enable it to achieve greater value and service by exchanging data with the manufacturer, operator and other connected devices. Each thing is uniquely identifiable through its embedded computing system but is able to interoperate within the existing Internet infrastructure. As ICT has progressed in products and services, so-called ICT with existing industry is fused," Convergence Industry" become important. Convergence Industry has entered a new turning point by the diffusion of IoT. IoT makes to new changes the convergence paradigm with a variety of industry and ICT by the innovation from the industry outside activated. In this paper; I explain the use case of IoT, presenting the direction of the business strategy of IoT from the perspective of Industrial Convergence.

Profit models for content marketing on smartphones and mobile devices have not yet been established. Among the new undertakings for establishing such models in Japan, we will discuss cases of collaboration between late-night anime shows and video sharing websites, as well as content marketing distribution using Twitter Amplify. The content marketing industry in the twentieth century arose by enabling music and theater productions - which previously could only have been "distributed" through live performances and theater-going - to "record," "replay," and "transmit" their content. As far as the content marketing industry in the twenty-first century is concerned, a transformation that is equally significant to that noted above is possible through social media, smartphones and mobile devices.

Drawing upon the concept of teleoaffective structure proposed by Schatzki (1996, 2002), the emotional dimension in relation to the teleological dimension of accounting practices is examined in this paper. Utilizing the data obtained from ethnographic field research of a financial institution which assists its clients to turnaround their business, it is found that instrumentally rational activities are systematically connected to the emotionality of the site. While on the teleological dimension, signifying chain links meanings of local activities with the strategic agenda set by the top management, a dilemma between discontinuity from the past and the perceived feasibility of business turnaround is overcome by the social signification generated on the emotional dimension of the site.
