Internet of Things (IoT) devices are widely used in various fields. However, their limited computing resources make them extremely vulnerable and difficult to be effectively protected. Traditional intrusion detection systems (IDS) focus on high accuracy and low false alarm rate (FAR), making them often have too high spatiotemporal complexity to be deployed in IoT devices. In response to the above problems, this paper proposes an intrusion detection model of IoT based on the light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM). Firstly, the one-dimensional convolutional neural network (CNN) is used to extract features from network traffic to reduce the feature dimensions. Then, the LightGBM is used for classification to detect the type of network traffic belongs. The LightGBM is more lightweight on the basis of inheriting the advantages of the gradient boosting tree. The LightGBM has a faster decision tree construction process. Experiments on the TON-IoT and BoT-IoT datasets show that the proposed model has stronger performance and more lightweight than the comparison models. The proposed model can shorten the prediction time by 90.66% and is better than the comparison models in accuracy and other performance metrics. The proposed model has strong detection capability for denial of service (DoS) and distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. Experimental results on the testbed built with IoT devices such as Raspberry Pi show that the proposed model can perform effective and real-time intrusion detection on IoT devices.

As the Internet has become prevalent, the popularity of net media has been growing, to a point that it has taken over conventional mass media. However, TWtrends, the Twitter trends visualization system operated by our research team since 2019, indicates that many topics on TV programs frequently appear on Twitter trendlines. This study investigates the relationship between Twitter and TV programs by collecting information on Twitter trends and TV programs simultaneously. Although this study provides a rough estimation of the volume of tweets that mention TV programs, the results show that several tweets mention TV programs at a constant rate, which tends to increase on the weekend. This tendency of TV-related tweets stems from the audience rating survey results. Considering the study outcome, and the fact that many TV programs introduce topics popular in social media, implies codependency between Internet media (social media) and mass media.

線形予測符号化(LPC)分析と複合正弦波モデル化(CSM)分析の間にあるエレガントな関係(ここではこれを対称性と呼ぶ)について述べる.目的は,LPC,PARCOR,CSM,線スペクトル対(LSP)などの音声スペクトルモデル化の理論に統合的な視点を与えることにある.これらの分析法はいずれもモデルの自由度に等しい個数の低次の自己相関関数を与えられたとき,モデルのパラメータを求める問題となっているが,LPCもCSMも,直交多項式の理論の観点から見ると,音声のパワースペクトル密度関数を重み関数として定義される単位円周上の直交多項式の理論(LPCの場合)及び実軸上の直交多項式の理論(CSMの場合)であり,定式化,各種のパラメータの定義,解法アルゴリズムなどに関して美しい対称性が成り立つ.また,直交多項式の観点からLSPに対して新しい解釈を与える.

Critical transitions and early warning signals are gaining attention in various fields such as ecology, climatology, and economics. However, quantitative estimation of the critical transition probability remains difficult. In this study, I propose a method to estimate the critical transition probability. It is based on a previous method using quadratic polynomial approximation, and skewness filtering is added as a reject option. The proposed method is applied to May model, a mathematical model of an ecosystem, as an example case. The results of numerical simulations show that the proposed method has much better precision than the previous method without skewness filtering, achieving a relative error of approximately ±50% for the mean escape time.

Recently, the cyber-physical-system (CPS) has attracted great interest in the information and communications technology (ICT) research field for the virtual test of wireless communication systems. Since the performance of wireless communication significantly depends on the radio propagation channel characteristics, the development of accurate radio propagation simulation technology becomes essential for the purpose. This paper proposed the scenario-specific radio propagation simulation method from LiDAR point cloud data. By the continuous environment measurement by LiDAR, the positions of dynamic objects like pedestrians are tracked, as well as the site-specific propagation environment characteristics and their influences are taken into the simulation. For performance evaluation, the radio propagation measurement was conducted in the 28GHz band in an indoor office. The result showed a significant improvement in the RMSE of received power prediction. The proposed method will be utilized for the radio channel emulation in the CPS.

損失を有する共振器型フィルタは,回路基板の平行平板共振抑制時におけるオープンスタブ構造からの不要放射が懸念される.本論文では,放射要因ごとに分解したモデルを用いて共振抑制時の放射を評価した結果,当該構造からの放射増は無視できる程度と判明した.

In this paper, we investigate the sum rate (SR) maximization problem for downlink cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (C-NOMA) system under in-phase and quadrature-phase (IQ) imbalance at the base station (BS) and destination. The BS communicates with users by a half-duplex amplified-and-forward (HD-AF) relay under imperfect IQ imbalance. The sum rate maximization problem is formulated as a non-convex optimization with the quality of service (QoS) constraint for each user. We first use the variable substitution method to transform the non-convex SR maximization problem into an equivalent problem. Then, a joint power and rate allocation algorithm is proposed based on successive convex approximation (SCA) to maximize the SR of the systems. Simulation results verify that the algorithm can improve the SR of the C-NOMA compared with the cooperative orthogonal multiple access (C-OMA) scheme.

Deep convolutional neural networks (deep CNN) show a large power for robust recognition of visual patterns. The neocognitron, which was first proposed by Fukushima (1979), is a network classified to this category. Its architecture was suggested by neurophysiological findings on the visual systems of mammals. It acquires the ability to recognize visual patterns robustly through learning. Although the neocognitron has a long history, improvements of the network are still continuing. This paper discusses the recent neocognitron, focusing on differences from the conventional deep CNN. Some other functions of the visual system can also be realized by networks extended from the neocognitron, for example, recognition of partly occluded patterns, the mechanism of selective attention, and so on.

Many countries are facing the aging problem caused by the growth of the elderly population. Nursing home (NH) is a common solution to long-term care for the elderly. This paper develops a simulator to model elder behavior in an NH, which considers public areas where elders interact and imitates their general, group, and special activities. Elders have their preferences to decide activities taken by them. The simulator takes account of the movement of elders and abnormal events. Based on the simulator, two seeking methods are proposed for caregivers to search lost elders efficiently, which helps them fast find out elders who may incur accidents.

The application of time-series prediction is very extensive, and it is an important problem across many fields, such as stock prediction, sales prediction, and loan prediction and so on, which play a great value in production and life. It requires that the model can effectively capture the long-term feature dependence between the output and input. Recent studies show that Transformer can improve the prediction ability of time-series. However, Transformer has some problems that make it unable to be directly applied to time-series prediction, such as: (1) Local agnosticism: Self-attention in Transformer is not sensitive to short-term feature dependence, which leads to model anomalies in time-series; (2) Memory bottleneck: The spatial complexity of regular transformation increases twice with the sequence length, making direct modeling of long time-series infeasible. In order to solve these problems, this paper designs an efficient model for long time-series prediction. It is a double pyramid bidirectional feature fusion mechanism network with parallel Temporal Convolution Network (TCN) and FastFormer. This network structure can combine the time series fine-grained information captured by the Temporal Convolution Network with the global interactive information captured by FastFormer, it can well handle the time series prediction problem.

The original single-shot multibox detector (SSD) algorithm has good detection accuracy and speed for regular object recognition. However, the SSD is not suitable for detecting small objects for two reasons: 1) the relationships among different feature layers with various scales are not considered, 2) the predicted results are solely determined by several independent feature layers. To enhance its detection capability for small objects, this study proposes an improved SSD-based algorithm called proportional channels' fusion SSD (PCF-SSD). Three enhancements are provided by this novel PCF-SSD algorithm. First, a fusion feature pyramid model is proposed by concatenating channels of certain key feature layers in a given proportion for object detection. Second, the default box sizes are adjusted properly for small object detection. Third, an improved loss function is suggested to train the above-proposed fusion model, which can further improve object detection performance. A series of experiments are conducted on the public database Pascal VOC to validate the PCF-SSD. On comparing with the original SSD algorithm, our algorithm improves the mean average precision and detection accuracy for small objects by 3.3% and 3.9%, respectively, with a detection speed of 40FPS. Furthermore, the proposed PCF-SSD can achieve a better balance of detection accuracy and efficiency than the original SSD algorithm, as demonstrated by a series of experimental results.

料理レシピのような創作や操作手順の説明文書では,なぜそれをするのかといった,手順にとどまらない付加的な情報が文書の有用性を向上させる.しかし,そのような文書を書く経験に乏しい著者にとっては何を書くべきか考えることすら難しい.そこで本論文では自然言語処理技術により,調理手順そのものではない付加的説明文を自動生成する手法を検討する.我々は先行研究で,料理レシピの読者に役に立つ付加的情報が「代替品・アレンジ・調理工程の理由・適した材料・注意点・盛り付け」に類別されることを実験的に明らかにした.本研究ではユーザが入力した文に対し,クックパッドデータセットで学習したGPT-2モデルにより文を生成し,それらにBERTに基づく分類モデルを適用して上記の6種類に属する文を選出し,提案する仕組みを構築した.更にユーザビリティ評価として,100名の実験参加者に実際のレシピにおける冒頭の2文を提示し,それらに続く実際の文と,それらから提案手法により生成された後続文のどちらを採用するか選ばせる実験を行った.その結果48.2%で生成文が選択され,提案手法の生成文が実際の文と同等程度に利用されることが示された.

本論文では,Wi-Fi RTT (Round Trip Time)を用いた測距ベースの位置特定手法であるLaterationにおいて,測距性能がどのようにして位置特定性能に影響を与えるかを調査し,調査により得られた結果を踏まえて策定したアクセスポイント選択方法に基づき,屋内廊下を対象とした位置特定性能評価を行っている.その結果,適切なアクセスポイントの選択により,今回の評価環境では,高品質な位置情報サービスに利用可能な性能が得られることを示している.また,アクセスポイントの数が減っても,位置特定性能を維持し,なおかつ,Wi-Fi RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator)を用いたScene Analysisと同程度若しくはそれ以上の性能が得られることを示している.更に,その他の条件においてもアクセスポイントの選択によって位置特定性能を改善できるという結果を得ている.このことから,アクセスポイント数が減ることによるコストの削減,データベースの構築・更新に要する労力の削減が期待できる.

ローカル5Gは既設ネットワークから分離して敷設されうるが,ローカル5Gネットワークから既設ネットワーク内システムの利用のために相互接続の需要がある.一方でローカル5Gネットワークと既設ネットワークとの間には,(1)アドレス体系が独立でありネットワーク管理レイヤが異なるため,既設ネットワークからローカル5G端末を識別・管理できない,(2)セキュリティレベルの低いローカル5Gネットワークにより既設ネットワークのセキュリティリスクが増大する,という二つのギャップがあり相互接続が許可されない.本論文では解決技術として,(1)レイヤ間でアドレスを変換し既設ネットワークからローカル5G端末を識別・管理させる「レイヤ間アドレス変換」,(2)ローカル5Gネットワークから既設ネットワークへの通信範囲を限定する「既設ネットワーク内トンネリング」の二つの手法を提案した.提案手法をソフトウェアにより実装し,実際のローカル5Gネットワークと実際の社内ネットワークを用いて評価を行った.結果として,提案手法にて二つのギャップを解決し,ローカル5Gネットワークと既設ネットワーク間で相互接続できることを確認した.

Online social networks have increased their impact on the real world, which motivates information senders to control the propagation process of information to promote particular actions of online users. However, the existing works on information provisioning seem to oversimplify the users' decision-making process that involves information reception, internal actions of social networks, and external actions of social networks. In particular, characterizing the best practices of information provisioning that promotes the users' external actions is a complex task due to the complexity of the propagation process in OSNs, even when the variation of information is limited. Therefore, we propose a new information diffusion model that distinguishes user behaviors inside and outside of OSNs, and formulate an optimization problem to maximize the number of users who take the external actions by providing information over multiple rounds. Also, we define a robust provisioning policy for the problem, which selects a message sequence to maximize the expected number of desired users under the probabilistic uncertainty of OSN settings. Our experiment results infer that there could exist an information provisioning policy that achieves nearly-optimal solutions in different types of OSNs. Furthermore, we empirically demonstrate that the proposed robust policy can be such a universally optimal solution.

本論文では,信頼性制約下での通信ネットワーク最適化問題(以下単に「最適化問題」と呼ぶ)について新たな定式化を提案する.まず,通信ネットワークの信頼性研究には二種類のアプローチがあることを指摘する.一つはグラフ理論的アプローチであり,もう一つは通信経路に着目したアプローチである.後者の方が一般的・汎用的と言えるが,最適化問題に関する既存研究は,全て前者のアプローチに基づいている.本研究が,初めて通信経路に着目したアプローチの下での最適化問題を検討する.具体的には,実現可能な通信経路の集合から,一定の信頼性を保証しつつ最もコスト最小となる部分集合を自動的に生成する問題を検討し,その数学的定式化と二つの解法を提示する.解法の一つは総当たりによる方法であり,もう一つは2分木探索に基づく.最後に数値実験結果を示す.

一般的に10人程度といったグループでのレッスンが行われているエレクトリックギターの授業クラスでは,個々の学習者の状況を正確に把握し,的確なアドバイスを与えることは容易ではない.授業内における録画あるいは録音では事後の評価に時間を要することに加え,機材の管理コストが授業運営における大きな負担となってしまう.そこで本研究では個々の学習者に腕時計型運動センサデバイスを装着させることで,レッスン内の演奏運動を全て記録し,演奏技量獲得の様子を可視化するシステムの開発実験を行った.ギター演奏技巧としては,音楽表現における重要な基礎技巧の一つであるアクセント付きコードストローク奏法を取り上げ,学習者の利き腕側での運動信号から演奏リズムの正確さ,アクセントの鋭さ,及び演奏運動の形態をPC画面におけるシンプルな操作にて評価することができる.音楽系専門学校における各1時間計5回にわたるギターレッスンクラスへの適用実験を行った結果,17名の学習者における技量獲得の状況を客観的に可視化することができた.また,数値データによる振り返りにより教育者と学習者が演奏技量に関する情報を共有することにつながった.

The acquisition of distant sound has always been a hot research topic. Since sound is caused by vibration, one of the best methods for measuring distant sound is to use a laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV). This laser has high directivity, that enables it to acquire sound from far away, which is of great practical use for disaster relief and other situations. However, due to the vibration characteristics of the irradiated object itself and the reflectivity of its surface (or other reasons), the acquired sound is often lacking frequency components in certain frequency bands and is mixed with obvious noise. Therefore, when using LDV to acquire distant speech, if we want to recognize the actual content of the speech, it is necessary to enhance the acquired speech signal in some way. Conventional speech enhancement methods are not generally applicable due to the various types of degradation in observed speech. Moreover, while several speech enhancement methods for LDV have been proposed, they are only effective when the irradiated object is known. In this paper, we present a speech enhancement method for LDV that can deal with unknown irradiated objects. The proposed method is composed of noise reduction, pitch detection, power spectrum envelope estimation, power spectrum reconstruction, and phase estimation. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our method for enhancing the acquired speech with unknown irradiated objects.

In this paper, we report the recent progress in visible light positioning and communication systems using light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Due to the wide deployment of LEDs for indoor illumination, visible light positioning (VLP) and visible light communication (VLC) using existing LEDs fixtures have attracted great attention in recent years. Here, we review our recent works on visible light positioning and communication, including image sensor-based VLP, photodetector-based VLP, integrated VLC and VLP (VLCP) systems, and heterogeneous radio frequency (RF) and VLC (RF/VLC) systems.
