Previous studies have shown that behavioral synchronization with others positively affects various psychological and behavioral variables. However, no consistent view has been given on the effects of synchronization, as different researchers tend to use different indicators. In light of this, the purpose of this study was to comprehensively examine the effects of synchronization by using multiple psychological and behavioral indicators that have been shown to be associated with synchronization, as dependent variables. We set up conditions in which the upper arm motion was synchronous and asynchronous between two participants who maintained a controlled gaze. The results showed that synchronization of behavior with others was not an effect and not a mediated effect by psycho-logical variables; however, it had a direct effect on behavioral indicators. Specifically, compared with the asynchronous condition, the synchronous condition resulted in closer interpersonal distance between participants and greater cooperation with others in the prisoner’s dilemma game.

本研究では,児童生徒の情報活用の実践力と情報モラルの関係について調査を行った.情報活用能力実践尺度得点と情報モラル課題について学年間比較を行った結果,次の2点が明らかとなった.まず,全般的な情報活用の実践力は,中学生の方が小学生よりも高かった.つぎに,情報モラルについては,小学生と中学生ともに情報モラル意識と情報活用の実践力に関連が見られた.また,全般的な情報活用の実践力については,中学生の方が小学生よりも有意に高く,とりわけ,情報活用の実践力の中でも「収集力」「判断力」「処理力」について,中学生の方が小学生よりも有意に高かった.また,情報モラルの高さと家庭における教育に関連があること,初等中教育課程での学校教育における総合学習等の授業における授業実践の効果が示唆された.

The purpose of this study was to develop a Japanese version of the Need for Cognition Scale (NCS). Forty-five items, which had been used in the United States to measure NCS, were administered to three groups. Subjects in the first and second groups consisted of university students, and these groups were surveyed in succession with an interval of one year. Further, subjects in the second group answered the items twice with one month between administrations. Subjects in the third group were not university students. Each set of data obtained from the three groups was factor analyzed and one major factor was extracted. The fifteen items, which gave high loadings on the first factor and had no sex difference on scores, were selected as the Japanese version of NCS. The reliability of NCS was confirmed by the test-retest method, the split-half method, and the internal consistency method. Construct validity was also examined.

This paper addresses the issue of the education for international understanding through a case of "Teddy. Bear Project" between Mitsujyou Elementary School in Japan and Elmhurst Elementary School in North Carolina in U.S.A. Children of each partner school exchanged a "Teddy Bear" and they wrote a diary from the bear's viewpoints. Our results based on children's descriptions in their dairies suggest that this project can promote education for international understanding, especially understanding of their own culture, understanding of their identities and their self esteem. The "Teddy Bear Project" was found to be very successful in to enhancing understanding and acceptance of diverse cultures.

本年度は, これまでに蓄積されてきた研究成果を踏まえて, 生活科学習において「キャリア」という視点からの単元開発の可能性について研究を進めた。そのために, これまで同様, 提案授業を基に協議・考察をしていった。本年度は広島大学附属東雲小学校の須本良夫教諭の実践「小さな先生登場」を基にしたキャリアを視点とした生活科の単元開発の可能性について協議した。須本実践では, 「見て分かる」だけではなくて「実際にさせて分からせる」という過程を大切にすることがその特徴であり, 大いに示唆に富むものであった。実際に先生の仕事をさせることで, 子ども達は嬉々として活動に取り組みながらも, 目には見えない先生達の仕事(大変さや喜び等)に気付くことができた。具体的な活動を通して思考するという発達の過程にある低学年の子ども達との学習において, この単元作りの視点は, 生活科の他の学習内容においても今後, ますます大切にされなければならないということが協議において明らかになった。

国内外の優れた図画工作・美術科教員が持つ学習指導に関わる知を取材すると共にそれを共有するシステムをインターネット上に構築し検討を行った。その結果,我が国の図画工作・美術科熟達教員は,常に個に向かう授業を行い,状況に柔軟に対応する教育技術を持っていた。具体的には,制作の過程を重視し,共感的な言葉遣いや常に児童・生徒の個と集団の様子をモニタリングすることによって個を引き出す授業を進めているなどがわかった。

平成17年度は、東奥義塾における教育の実態を探る為の基本的資料の発掘、並びにその収集という平成16年度の取組みの上に、さらに下記6項目についての資料収集を行った。1.昨年度収集した外人教師ジョン・イング(JHON ING)以外に、東奥義塾草創期からその衰退期にいたる外人教師に関する資料。2.昨年度からの継続として、弘前第二小学(現和徳小学校)の教員の質を裏付ける履歴書、並びに諸資料の発掘。3.弘前第二小学の教員によって組織された「自他楽会」と称する読書会、勉強会にかかわる諸資料の収集。その中には、約600冊に上る「書物」の一覧表、貸出簿等が含まれている。4.地元新聞「東奥日報」における、学校記事を含む明治期の教育関係関連記事に関する全資料。5.明治10年から18年に西津軽郡山田小学校で学んだ成田らくの授業ノート(算数、理科)。6.藤崎村における外人教師ジョン・イング(JHON ING)の動向。特に青年教育(農業指導)に関する資料の発掘。これらの資料は、直接的に、また間接的に東奥義塾における教育の実態を明らかにするものである。なお、本研究成果は平成18年度中に下記8章で構成される図書として広く公に資する予定である。1.福沢諭吉がめざした日本の近代化-窮理に託した福沢の願い-2.藩校「稽古館」から東奥義塾へ-全国にあった文化の原点-3.東奥義塾での革新的な動き-自然科学の授業はかくあるべし-4.天覧授業(授業再現)-明治天皇を仰天させた5人の塾生-5.東奥義塾生海を渡る(留学の記)-私費による留学-6.文学社会(総合学習の精神ここにあり)-これぞ福沢のめざした近代の精神-7.自由民権運動への流れ(東奥義塾党)-東奥義塾の光と陰-8.東奥義塾が果たした役割-地方には地方の意地があり、それが革新的な教育を生む
