<p>Recently, AACN (Advanced Automatic Collision Notification) that presupposed cooperation with emergency life-saving organizations is expected. Therefore, emergency life-saving organizations must recognize injury speciation of patients, as quickly as possible. So, the author tried the traffic accident analyzing method by statistical data analysis from combing analysis items analysis items for main site of injury and analysis items for injury contents (indicated in the traffic accident statistics vote by Japanese National Police Agency). And furthermore it is necessary to improve the safety of vehicles not only for same class collisions but also for collisions between vehicles of different types (e.g., between SUVs and sedans). In this study, the author applied the method of analysis as described above for frontal collision between SUVs and middle sedans, and analyzed using statistical data stored in ITARDA (Institute for Traffic Accident Research and Data Analysis). In the case of fatal or severe injuries, it is shown that the component rate of chest fracture of middle sedan drivers is higher than that of SUVs. It is supposed that the difference in these rates is caused by the vertical offset configuration between the frames of the two different types of vehicles when they crash into each other.</p>

The effect of music on driver's mental stress and driver's operation was researched with a simulator. Subjects were 3 healthy males. The heartbeat was measured for about 5 minutes without any stimulation, then for about three minutes simulated while listening to music with driving simulator, and finally, for a few times until observer was settling down. LF/HF and Reactive value, and Standard deviation of horizontal displacement, and Standard deviation of vehicle speed is used for the analysis (LF and HF denote the low frequency component and the high frequency component of the power spectra of heartbeat fluctuations, respectively). Under the speed of 60km/h music influence on driving is not so large. The influence is larger when vehicle speed becomes faster. It may be understood that subjects were similarly influenced by music when standard deviation of the fluctuation of vehicle speed is paid attention. As a result, a high relation between speed control and steering wheel control was read from the graph. It is revealed that the best music on driver's mental stress is usual tempo music.

In recent years,high functionality and complication of stage-controls are increasing.Not only caught and involved,but also falls form high places occur.In this research,taking up safety of stage-control,investigate expressly "lift".In this report,I consider about safety in the show by professional actors.The works in the stage is prefecture to 6 divisions.At the play,it needs not only to prevent critical injury,but also keep the show go on.But it is limited to apply safety equipment in the stage.So the risk by using lift is commissioned to actors,and it is condition that their dangerous failure does not cause a critical injury.In this guarantee,the actors must stop the play before the incident as interlocking.And not to stop the play,they have to increase reliability by the practice.In the practice,it is need to commission safety control step by step within the limit of the actor's ability,so that they can practice safety.

Falling to Stage lift is a critical injury, so that it must be prevented without experience. To avoid an injury of falling, actors must assure safety by active control. Active control is purpose, regulation, and stop control. To keep show go on, it is required for actors to stop performance before falling. And to avoid stop performance, regulate their position not to access the stage lift. Based on these controls, actors can performance, achieving the purpose. To acquire this control, actors have to practice. And the situation of practice and real running is distinguished clearly because safety measures can be applied on one side, and cannot on other. And control of actors includes a dangerous failure comes from human property. It is must to prevent a critical injury comes from their dangerous failure. To that, it is need to disperse energy, and we purpose a device using both of permanent magnet electromagnet as an example. Because friction force from magnet is constant, it can definitely determine force to depend on the human body.

Creep properties of Ni-YSZ cermet, which were for the anode of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), were studied to evaluate the influence of the volume ratio of Ni in the cermet to creep properties. Specimens with three Ni volume ratios were prepared, and creep test was performed by 4 points bending configuration. The obtained creep curves showed clear tendencies in transition creep and steady-state creep regions. As Ni increased, both steady-state strain rate and the strain of transition creep increased. These results suggested that Ni in the microstructure of Ni-YSZ cermet played a certain role to determine the creep properties. However, comparison with the creep properties in Ni metal, both properties were significantly low. Hence, it was also suggested the importance of YSZ framework to creep properties.

It is important to reduce the vibrations of an Interior Permanent Magnetic motor that is generally installed in electrical vehicles, fuel cell vehicles, and hybrid electrical vehicles. The purpose of the study here is to build up the torque ripple reduction methodology by controlling the working currents on IPM motor. The distributed winding IPM motor with 48 teeth on the stator and 4 pairs of poles on the rotor is treated. The relating equation between torque and three phase alternating currents is shown firstly, utilizing the torque that results from the Finite Element Analysis of the plane electromagnetic field. Secondly, high order currents are derived from the equation and superposed on the basic currents in order to reduce the torque ripple. Finally, the plane electromagnetic field analysis is performed again with the currents including the high order ones and a torque ripple reduction of more than 25 dB with a torque drop of 2.2% is obtained.

The marine nuclear power plant is a floating nuclear power plant which supply power for the offshore oil drill platform. It is designed based on the standard and experience of the traditional onshore nuclear power plant. The reactor of the marine nuclear power plant is a 100 MWt PWR type small modular reactor with 2 loops. Each of the loops contains a main pump, a main check valve, and a steam generator. The pressurizer is set on one of the loops. The engineering safety features in the plant are somewhat different from those in the traditional plants. The special residual heat removal system, the passive residual heat removal, the square steel containment and containment suppression system are designed in the plant. The prevention and mitigation measures for severe accidents are set up on a reasonable and feasible basis to actually eliminate the large release of radioactive products. A MELCOR model and corresponding input deck were developed for the reactor coolant system, the secondary system, the containment system, the engineering safety features. Based on the safety analysis experience in the traditional nuclear power plant, the SBLOCA in the cold leg with the break diameter of 2.5 cm is chose as the initial event of the severe accident in the work. The sequence and important parameters in the accident are analyzed. According to the simulation results, the core exposed and heat up with the coolant release, and finally melt since the emergency core cooling system failure. However, the reactor pressure vessel (RPV) maintained integrity with the mitigation measure, i.e., the external vessel core cooling. The containment also maintained integrity, which prevented the large release of radioactive products to the other cabins and the environment. The work is useful in gaining an insight into the detailed process involved. One of the final goals of this work would be to identify appropriate accident management strategies and countermeasures for the SBLOCA induced severe accidents during the design process of the marine nuclear power plant.

In order to simulate the debris impacts in geosynchronous orbit, we need the launcher that can launch the projectile under approximately 1[km/sec]. We converted a two-stage light gas gun into a powder gun. In generally, though sabot separation technique is used to launch the projectile of sphere, we can not apply its technique to a our powder gun. So we also conducted the development of new separation technique of projectile of sphere. In particular, we will show with the focus on the new separation technique.

Most of non-rubber type isolation systems apply frictional force. One of the famous non-rubber type isolation systems is Friction Pendulum Bearing (: FPB) system. When using friction pendulum system in the open air circumstances, some have pointed out that long term durability of the systems must have been taken into account and it might have been very difficult to maintain the coefficient of friction. In this study, dynamic motion of the isolated structure model with 4 of FPB systems are investigated, especially in in-plane mode, considering a variance of friction coefficient of one system, a distribution of the mass of superstructures. The result and the analysis of the shake table test using 3-storey steal-frame model is presented in this report.

<p>Underwater micro shock wave generated from metal surface by irradiation of single pulse laser has been investigated and observed with shadowgraph method. In order to produce underwater micro shock wave, flat and concave glasses coated with 100 nm thick titanium have been used. In this experiment, we used relatively low laser intensity, ranged from 0 to 200 GW/m<sup>2</sup> and shock wave was generated due to photo-acoustic effect in metal induced by laser irradiation. Shock wave was focused immediately using concave surface and we confirmed the focusing effect by optical observation and pressure measurement. The strength of shock wave from concave surface has attained approximately twice of flat one.</p>

In order to clarify unsteady flow structure’s behavior that improves vehicle’s high-speed stability during steering input, on-road analysis was conducted. The analysis was conducted on two vehicles’ aerodynamic specifications which were produced by configuring two different shapes from a single vehicle. During high speed driving while steering input in sinusoidal waveform was being applied, these two vehicles were analyzed focusing on the relationships between dynamic movements, unsteady forces affecting on vehicle’s body surface and unsteady behavior of flow structure. As a result, it was clarified that there existed a unsteady behavior of flow structure that aerodynamically control to stabilize vehicle’s steering response motion in vertical and yawing direction. It was also clarified that this aerodynamic force that control to stabilize vehicle’s steering response motion was caused by behaviors of flow structure beside body just behind front tire which reduced and expand its vertical scale during high-speed driving with steering input. Furthermore, it was shown that this behavior of flow structure was caused by weakening vortex structure which came out and separated from the gap between the upper rear side of the front wheel and the front wheel arch.
