This research studies the wooden 3-storied hot spring inn architecture in Gunma Pref. As a result, the following became with obvious. 1. The description of the most ancient times that is related to 3-storied is 1818 years in Kusatsu hot spring. 2. 3-storied was occupying 50% of hot spring inn architecture in Minakami in Showa early period. 3. There was not the law that 3-storied prohibits in the Kusatsu hot spring in the Edo period. 3-storied was able to build even if it becomes around 1960. 4. 3-storied is built the 39 ridges in 1999 year present Gunma Pref. 5. Beside the era falls the 3-storied appearance becomes the designs that were taken up and the independence of the guest room rises.

This study aims to identify the prospect of Edo and its changes and to investigate the significance of the changes. From the Edo-Mcisho-Zue etc., we find that in the Edo period people identfied their towns on a large scale. The prospect of Edo was classified geographically into 14 types. Nowadays there remains only 4 types consisting of the near and intermidiate scenery. Prospects lack individuality and the quality of views has completly changed. Such a condition has brought about weaker relations between men and environment. From now on, we can find the significance and possibilities of prospect on local levels.

An examination of two pictorial sorces (Ichienho Sashizu, Zentsuji Garanzu) in the possession of Zentsuji temple (Zentsuji-shi, Kagawa-ken), reveals the following things about the Niju-no-hoto pagoda, described in the Nankairuroki, a document dating from 1243 (Ninji 4), as having been built by Kobo-Daishi (Kukai) : ・The Niju-no-hoto pagoda is in fact the same building as the Hokkedo, and both the upper and the lower levels were square in shape. ・In addition to the square shape of both levels, the documents reveal that the interior of the building also featured a Taizokai Mandara, and that the ceremony of Hokke Zanmai was conducted there. This is in keeping with the practices of the Tendai Sect between the late 9th and 11th centuries, and considering that the name "tahoto" came to be popular also in the Singon Sect after the middle 10th century, the building also dates from this period, between the middle 10th and 11th centunes. ・Thus, from both the shape of the building and its construction date, it is not possible to accept that it was constructed by Kobo-daishi.

Using seismic records observed in 4 borehole arrays, characteristics of vertical seismic motions in sedimentary layers are investigated. The results are as follows. 1) P-waves having intensive effect to vertical component are propagating within sedimentary layers even after the S-wave onset time (S-wave part). 2) Frequency dependent Q-values for P-waves (Qp) in Tertiary sediment layers obtained from the optimal analyses to spectral ratios have the tendency to be identical with Q-values for S-waves (Qs) with the same wavelength. 3) Observed vertical motions in upper ground can be simulated by the multiple reflection theory of P-waves based on the optimized velocities and Q-values.

"Housing Reform Exibition" was the exhibition held by Ofuna Denentoshi (Ofuna Suburbs) Co., Ltd. in the year 11 of Taisyo Era. In this same year. "Heiwa Kinen Tokyo Exhibition (Peace Memorial Tokyo Exhibition) /Bunka-mura was held in Tokyo, and two model house exhibitions of the Sakuragaoka Housing Reform Exhibitions were also held in Osaka. The issue of this report is to explain clearly the characteristics of the housing plans selected as the best in that exhibition, and to consider the relation between the best plans and the housing reform movement of those days. The details of the four remained constructions designed by Ofuna Denentosh (Ofuna Suburbs) Co., Ltd. will be reviewed. And make it clear that the residents of that new houses felt the change form the use of "Tatami" to "Chairs" in their main dining room, which was the focal point of the housing reform movement of that age, took place too for them.

This report describes the definite operation plan for the garden city project by Ohfuna Denentoshi Co,Ltd. Ohfuna Denentoshi Co,Ltd had 29 staffs. Building and repairs department, which had Mr. Kaoru Yamada, exclusive engineer, was consist of three sections of Building section, Civil Engineering section, and Garden section. Looking into its completed works at residencial area, we could see that its construction works were done by its scheme drawing with burying water supply and sewerage, and with barying electric power supply system, and with roads which were devided into driveways and sidewalks. For the neat rows of houses on the street, Ohfuna Denentoshi Co,Ltd had a contract not only to build houses, but also to build gardens, and constructed public facilities. However, we finded out that Ohfuna Denentoshi Co,Ltd's management condition had not been good from the beginning Ohfuna Denentoshi Co,Ltd had a large amount of debt in 1927, and wend down with only half completion of the residencial area in 1928.

本論文はミース・ファン・デル・ローエのフッベ邸(1935年)の設計過程において残されたスケッチを分析することにより、その設計過程の特質を明らかにしようとするものである。設計過程は大きく二段階に分けることができた。第一段階は平面図スケッチを通してのデザインコンセプトの決定過程であり、第二段階は透視図スケッチを通しての空間特性の詳細な決定過程である。平面図スケッチにおいては各空間のレイアウトが検討されており、計6段階に整理できた。そこでは空間構成の大きな変化が認められるが、開放的なレイアウトが次第に外壁の矩形の輪郭に収められていく過程が見出された。また東側面の開口部の配置に着目することにより、東方向への視野がデザイン上、重視されたことが推定された。その東方向の眺望をCAD透視図でシミュレーションすることにより、居間の開放性とプライベートな閉鎖空間が、眺望の微妙なコントロールによって調整されたことが明らかとなった。壁面位置の微妙な調整などの詳細な空間デザインは、ラフな透視図スケッチをいくつか描くことによって、三次元的に、また眺望の検討によって決定されていたことが、試行錯誤を示すスケッチの詳細な分析から確認された。最終段階の透視図スケッチの詳細な分析から、空間構成の枠組みが決定された後、設計助手が定規を用いた線的な透視図を描き、ミースが壁面の素材、家具、庭木や彫刻、また遠景をフリーハンドで描き込み、次第に厳密に決定されていくというプロセスを辿ったことが明らかになった。

The multicomponent adsorption rate theory based on Dubinin-Astakhov model (MART-DA), which has been proposed in the previous report, is a practical model for predicting break-through curves of gas mixtures on activated carbon filter. In this paper, the MART-DA has been tested for abilities to predict total and component capacities reported for 13 sets of binary gas adsorption equilibria. Verified by the experimental data, it has been found that the MART-DA is successful in predicting adsorption equilibria of gas mixtures on activated carbon, and this precisions of prediction is comparable to that of the ideal adsorbed solution theory (IAST). From the mathematical study, a multicomponent adsorption isotherm equation (for N⪰2) has been derived from the MART-DA. For pure gas adsorption (for N=1), this isotherm equation is theoretically identical with Dubinin-Astakhov equation. Moreover, it has been clarified that the adsorption/desorption kinetics calculated from MART-DA is equivalent to the linear driving force (LDF) approximated adsorption rate calculation.

There have been strong demands to reduce construction waste that amounts to approximately 20% of the sum of the waste of all industries in Japan. Additionally, in this decade, a considerable increase of construction waste is expected due to renewals of office buildings and houses that were constructed during the rapid growth periods in the 1960's. In order to solve the problem regarding the anticipated waste, there need to be appropriate plans in place to reduce waste at construction sites, to promote recycling, and to take hold of sufficient intermediary disposal facilities for recycling and disposal of waste. In this study we locate these intermediate disposal facilities in the Tokyo coastal areas, and examine the relationship between the amount of construction byproducts that are discharged from construction sites in Tokyo Metropolitan area and the capacities of disposal in these intermediary disposal facilities. Additionally, we have the relationship between the current situation of the intermediate disposal facilities, which is analyzed by the aquatic system in the Tokyo Metropolitan area, under investigation..

Bingham's model is generally used as a rheological model for fresh concrete. However, Bingham's model for homogeneous materials is not always adequate to express the behavior of composite material such as fresh concrete. In this study, the numerical analysis of the flow of fresh mortar is carried out by visco-plastic finite element method (VFEM) using the shear strain dependent viscoplastic model. It is shown that the analytical results are in good agreement with the experimental ones, and that this model is appropriate. Furthermore, the mechanism of blockage of fresh mortar is discussed analytically.

動的シミュレーションは、空気調和システムやビルディングシステムの動的挙動解析のための手法として、設計上あるいは運転管理上、次第に重要になってきている。HVACSIM^+は、1985年に米国NISTで、空気調和システムの動的シミュレーションを目的に開発されたシミュレーションプログラムで、システムの構成要素をTYPEとよばれるサブルーチンで定義し、各TYPEの入出力関係とアルゴリズムを記述することでシステムを構築していく点に大きな特徴がある。本論文では、多様なシステム・制御に対応できるよう、オリジナルのHVACSIM^+に対して、新TYPEの開発、アルゴリズムの改良等を行い、種々の要素特性、制御方式、制御パラメータを有するいくつかのケースに対して動的シミュレーションを実行し、システムの動的挙動解析とエネルギー及び室内環境評価を試みる。また、いくつかのフォルトを含むケース結果により、エネルギー消費量と室内環境に基づくシステムフォルト検知の可能性についても議論する。

The Rikuu Earthquake of 1896 is one of the largest inland events that occurred in Tohoku District, Northern Japan, of which magnitude was 7.2. This earthquake caused heavy damage both Iwate and Akita Prefectures. In the previous paper, damage in Iwate Prefecture was revealed referring newspaper articles at that time. Continuing to the previous paper, damage data of Akita Prefecture is surveyed with reconnaissance reports and local documents at that time. Seismic intensities are estimated with collected damage data by local governmental units and precise distribution maps are made.

This study aims to reduce nursing home's care work burden by planning method with the consideration of care worker's psychological burden and physical load. Using the results of behavior observation of care workers at seven existing nursing homes and the questionnaire data obtained from ninety-two care workers, care work burden calculation program considering psychological burden and physical load for the facility planning was developed.

CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) sheet has been used for the retrofitting of a number of existing concrete buildings and structures because of its excellent properties (high strength, lightness and high durability). To be an effective retrofitting system, however, bond effectiveness between CFRP sheet and concrete should be verified, and understanding of the peeling mechanism is especially important. This study employed both the experimental and the analytical methods to quantify the maximum bond stress τ_y and the effective bond length l_u, where the bond stress distributes. Here the interface is modeled as an interphase of 1 mm thickness, that is, a composite which consists of epoxy resin and concrete. The values of τ_y and l_u are finally proposed, and they are 4.56MPa and 45.2mm, respectively.
