Several kinds of vibration actuators were developed and widely used for haptic feedback and for simulating tactile experience. However, these actuators have certain design challenges, such as resonance via the spring attached to the vibration mass, and limited acceleration amplitude at low frequency because of the limited travel distance of the mass. In our study, we propose a new vibrotactile presentation method using the rotational motor's counterforce that occurs during acceleration or deceleration. This paper describes the effectiveness of a DC motor for high fidelity vibration and pseudo force presentation, and our design concept of a vibration actuator using a DC motor.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the concept of a metaphor by Paul de Man. A metaphor generally seems opposed to strict thought. A thinker as Locke criticized a metaphor for its meaning. But from the angle of the self-reference Paul de Man marks the function of the metaphor. By this method he estimates a metaphor highly and develops its possibility. A metaphor involves "cutoff" and "connection" process at the same time while duplicating the meaning of the expression. In other words, a metaphor functions as inconsistent two at the same time. A language reproduces oneself by this way and does a self-controlled movement. This feature enables that a language regards itself as a metaphor. Paul de Man participates in the thinking genealogy of Nietzsche and Derrida on this point.

With the exception of ‘Dai-Ichi-Ya’ or ‘The First Night’,in which the goal of ‘waiting’ is fulfilled, until now the overall theme of “Yume-Jū-Ya” or “Dreams of Ten Nights” has been construed as‘waiting in vain’. In this paper I will attempt a refutal of former studies on the subject, and redefine the story’s theme. Some scholars contend that “Yume-Jū-Ya” was written as a ghost story. Likewise, while numerous Chinese short stories of the Six Dynasties and of the Tang Dynasty, as well as some which appear in Liaozhaizhiyi, are considered rebirth stories, they are also classified as ghost stories. Each of the two characters in ‘Dai-Ichi-Ya’ makes a promise: the woman vows to return in one hundred years, and the man promises to wait for her. A similar scene appears in Liaozhaizhiyi’s “Liansuo” in which setting a fixed time, and a promise to wait, are considered necessary conditions for rebirth. Hence, if the living person in the pact does not wait for the dead person, the latter cannot carry out the promise to return. In ‘Dai-Ichi-Ya’,the man doubted the woman’s words,and yet when the lily appeared he took it to be the fulfillment of the promised return. In the work, the return did not symbolize the last step of her rebirth, but rather the end of their love affair. They meet again, only to separate. Meeting is separating, and thus the story ends with an ironic paradox. Therefore,the theme of “Yume-Jū-Ya” may be defined as ’wishes that fall short of expectations’.

2004年春に開学した国際教養大学は,図書館の「24時間オーブン,年中無休」を実施している。全国でも類例のない制度を導入したのは,理想の大学づくりの象徴とするためであった。幸い,学生からは圧倒的な支持を得て,常に深夜,未明まで学生が勉学にいそしんでいる。新制度導入に至る背景から,2005年夏までの実績,職員の勤務体制や管理運営上の配慮などについて,その実態を館長としての体験を基にできるだけ詳細に報告し,全国の大学図書館の参考にしていただきたいと願っている。

近年日本酒の輸出が伸びているのは明るいニュースである一方,国内市場の縮小は続くと考えられる。特に地方において人口減少,首都圏への人材流出が進む中,地域経済・社会・自然環境の持続可能性を確保するためには,蔵元だけではなく,農家,卸小売りなどの流通,料飲店,地域の農水産品による食品加工業に加え陶磁器・漆器などの伝統工芸や観光と幅広い産業のネットワークによる地域ブランド化を総合的に考え,付加価値を向上させていく必要がある。当調査では,消費者アンケート分析,蔵元向けアンケート分析,ヒアリング調査の結果を踏まえて中国地方における日本酒ブランド確立と消費拡大につなげる方策について提言を行っている。
