The plant cell wall consists of cellulose nanofibers or cellulose microfibril bundles. Since nanofibers are tight bundles of semi-crystalline extended cellulose chains, their thermal expansion is as low as that of quartz, while their strength is five times that of steel. However, the industrial utilization of nanofibers has been limited despite their being the most abundant biomass resource on the earth. Recently, due to the risk of depletion of oil reserves and global environmental concerns, the effective extraction of cellulose nanofibers and their utilizations have gained increasing attention. This review summarizes the research works on the production of nanofibers from plant resources and their application to design polymer composites.

バイオリン,ピアノ,ギターといった弦楽器の響板・振動板には木材が利用される。そこには木材のどのような特性が必要なのか。さらにどのような特性の向上が求められているのか。今後,楽器材料はどのような方向に進むのか。これらの点について,楽器用木材の音響特性,化学処理によるその改質,未利用低質材からの楽器材料の製造などから説明する。

本稿では,粒子フィルタ,粒子平滑化,粒子フィルタによるパラメータ推定を解説する.粒子フィルタは非線形・非ガウス状態空間モデルの状態推定を実行するシミュレーションベースのアルゴリズムであり,1990年代初頭に発表された後,科学・技術の幅広い分野で活用されてきた.しかし,日本国内ではその知識が十分に普及しているとは言いがたいため,本稿では第2節で粒子フィルタとその適用例,第3節で粒子固定ラグ平滑化の基礎,第4節で粒子固定ラグ平滑化へのリサンプル・ムーブ法の適用,第5節で粒子フィルタと自己組織化状態空間モデルによるパラメータ推定,第6節で実物景気循環モデルの基礎と粒子フィルタを用いた状態推定例を解説する.

初等,中等教育の国語科においては,古典作品の歴史や背景を学びながらそれを楽しむ態度を育成することが求められているが,現実には古典に親しみを持つ児童や生徒は多いとは言い難い.そこで本発表では,我々が開発している絵巻物「伴大納言絵巻」の上巻の没入型インタラクティブコンテンツについて紹介する.このコンテンツでは,絵巻中の人物を切りだしてポリゴン化し,仮想空間内の絵巻に配置している.ユーザーはヘッドマウントディスプレイを通して絵巻を鑑賞し,仮想空間内で絵巻にユーザーが近づくと人物がアニメーションし,シナリオに従って発話できるようにすることで各々の人物が絵巻の物語の中で何をしているのかを理解できるようにした.このコンテンツを活用することで,絵巻物の内容理解,および興味関心が向上することが期待される.

On a variable speed control of motors used in industrial plants and industrial robots, a shaft torsional oscillation is often generated when a motor and a load are elastically coupled with a shaft. Such an oscillation may result in damage to the machine.<br>This paper is intended to theoretically explain the fact that a shaft torsional oscillation can be suppressed by using the digital observer regardless of the presense of the gear.<br>In this paper, we conducted tests on two shafts with resonant frequencies at 10.5 Hz and 16 Hz using a full-digital control equipment for controlling DC motors with the digital observer in order to confirm the oscillation control effects.

鏡視下腱板修復術(ARCR)の良好な成績が報告されているが再断裂例も存在する.ARCRの再断裂率,再断裂に関わる因子,臨床成績,再断裂MRIの検討を行ったので報告する.当科でARCRを行い,調査可能であった80肩,男性61肩,女性19肩を対象とした.年齢は30~78歳であった.臨床成績を術後1年時のJOA score,再断裂の有無を術後1年時MRIで評価した.全例中30%に再断裂を認め,断裂が大きい例,術前腱板脂肪変性が進んだ例,肩甲下筋断裂合併例で再断裂率が高かった.臨床成績は再断裂なし群が術後平均93.9点,再断裂あり群が術後平均87.2点であった.再断裂例を菅谷分類type 4,5に分けるとtype 4がtype 5に比べ有意に術後JOA scoreが改善していた.本術式は置換術ではないので残存腱板の状態が重要である.手術適応,手技についてさらなる検討が必要である.

女児の鼠径ヘルニア手術時に精巣を認め,精巣性女性化症候群と診断しえた症例を経験したので報告する.症例は7歳女児.左鼠径部腫瘤を自覚し近医を受診,左鼠径ヘルニアの診断で手術目的にて当院に紹介受診となった.既往歴は2年前に右鼠径ヘルニアにて高位結紮術を施行,この時ヘルニア嚢内に腫瘤を認め腹腔内に還納されている.入院時の現症および検査では異常所見は認めなかった.手術時にヘルニア嚢外側に精巣を認め,その後の検索で精巣性女性化症候群の確定診断を得た.本症候群は社会的な性の決定に関しても早期に発見,適切な対応が望まれ,鼠径ヘルニアの合併症例も多いことから,女児で両側に鼠径ヘルニアを認めるものは本症を念頭に置き治療に臨むことが必要である.

創薬の初期から,薬物吸収に関連した種々のin vitro試験や物性パラメーターが評価されるようになった.しかし,それらの数値を有効に活用するためには,溶解性および膜透過性などの化合物の物理的な特性と,実際の吸収への関連を明らかにすることが重要である.物性を通じ吸収過程を理論的に細分化し,そして統合することで,定量的な吸収率予測および吸収過程に問題がある化合物の排除へとつながると思われる.近年,難溶解性や低膜透過性に起因して,吸収低下のリスクが伴う化合物も多く合成されるなか,そのリスク自体を定量化することが求められており,そういった定量化につなげるための切り口として「物性評価と薬物吸収の関連」についてまとめた.

Partial-thickness articular-side tears of the rotator cuff were termed "partial articular surface tendon avulsion" (PASTA) by Snyder et al. Avulsion fracture of the medial aspect of the greater tuberosity in the region of the supraspinatus footprint was termed "bony PASTA lesion" by Bhatia et al. Kaspar et al. described a case of hyperabduction injury to the shoulder with fracture and extensive cavitary bone defect in the superolateral proximal humerus, caused by impression of the acromion.### We describe a case of bony PASTA lesion caused by hyperabduction injury to the shoulder. A 41-year-old male fell from a scaffold and hung from it. At that time, his left shoulder was placed in hyperabduction, causing a bony PASTA lesion. Because the displacement of the fragment was slight, he was given only conservative therapy for 7 months. He came to our hospital because motion pain and impingement in his left shoulder were not improved after 7 months. Physical examination revealed impingement sign and motion pain in his left shoulder. Radiographic examination revealed a 10 mm diameter cavitary bone defect and a small bone fragment of his injured greater tuberosity.### We diagnosed impingement syndrome caused by the small bone fragment, and performed arthroscopic operation. The bone fragment was removed, and the PASTA lesion was repaired with arthroscopic transtendon repair technique which preserved the superficial layer of the rotator cuff (arthroscopic PASTA repair). His postoperative course was good, and the preoperative symptoms disappeared.### In such cases, arthroscopic operation is best, because it is less invasive. 2004年Kasparらは肩関節過外転による肩峰と上腕骨の衝突で上腕骨近位に骨欠損と骨折を生じる症例があると報告し,2007年Bhatiaらは肩関節前方脱臼後に生じた棘上筋腱大結節付着部関節面側裂離骨折をbony PASTA lesionと称した. 今回,肩関節過外転で生じたbony PASTA lesionの症例を経験したので報告する. 症例は41歳,男性で建築作業中,足場より転落し左手でぶら下がり左肩関節過外転となり,左棘上筋腱大結節付着部関節面側裂離骨折を受傷した. 転位が軽度であったため近医にて保存的加療を行った. 左肩関節運動時痛,ひっかかり感が改善しないため受傷後7カ月で当科紹介受診となった. 画像所見上,上腕骨大結節に直径約10mmの骨欠損像と棘上筋腱大結節付着部関節面側に2×2×5mm大の小骨片を認め,小骨片による肩インピンジメント症候群と考え鏡視下手術を施行した. 小骨片は切除し,棘上筋腱関節面部分断裂を残存腱板を温存し,鏡視下に経腱板的に修復した(arthroscopic PASTA repair). 術後経過良好で術前の症状は消失した. 本例に対する鏡視下手術は鏡視による低侵襲での病変部の評価と残存組織を温存した修復が可能で最良の方法であった.

The top plate of guitar is usually made from two wood species which belong to different genus, that is, german spruce (Picea abies) and western redceder (Thuja plicata). To clarify the characteristics of these species and of the wood materials for guitar top plate, the acoustic properties of the specimens prepared from the neighbour portion of the top plate were measured by means of free-free flexural vibration method. The results were compared with the evaluation by an expert of guitar manufacture.The mean values of specific dynamic Young's modulus (E/γ) and tanδ of german spruce were higher than those of western redceder, while among various wood species these two had higher E/γ and lower tanδ in the longitudinal direction. These characteristics were particularly pronounced in the specimens which were judged by the expert to be high grade. Moreover, the standard deviations of the acoustic properties of the high grade specimens were smaller than those of the medium or low grade ones regardless of the species.The value of E/γ in the longitudinal direction, which can be obtained easily, seemed to be a convenient criterion for selecting the wood material suitable for guitar top plate. Because it correlated highly with tanδ in the longitudinal direction, and also with the ratio of tanδ in the radial direction to that in the longitudinal direction. Evaluation using both E/γ and tanδ in the longitudinal and radial directions was more appropriate, because the experimental values of E/γ and tanδ in any grain angle agreed with the values calculated based on Hankinson's equation.
