A cylindrically or radially fiber reinforced material is considered as a cylindrically anisotropic body. The stress solution for a cylindrically anisotropic body under a point force is obtained. This solution is a Green function for a cylindrically anisotropic body. An example of numerical calculation for stress distribution are illustrated.

On Dynamic-type ice storage system, the continuously preventing technique of the ice growing and adhering to the pipe wall from supercooled releaser to Supercooling chiller is proposed. -2.0 degree level supercooled water cooled by the evaporator of an electric refrigerator is able to be changed to sherbet ice perfectly by the supercooled releaser. Heating (less than 100W) the plastic pipe prevents the ice growing and adhering. 50USRT level experiment results are discussed and the stability prevention of the ice growing and adhering condition is shown.

In this paper, a dependence factor of soot emissivity on wavelength, a is studied in a counterflow propane diffusion flame by spectroscopic measurement. The spectrometer is set vertically to the nozzle and radiation of luminous flame is obtained each height from the lower burner. The emissivity is calculated from emissive power of luminous flame and blackbody furnace, and a is obtained by analysis of the emissivty. The relations between a and temperature, wavelength and distance from lower burner are examined. Results show that a is smaller with longer wavelength in the range of 600nm - 1000nm. Additionally, it is suggested that a also depends on soot conditions.

We investigated the drag reduction phenomena on highly water repellent surfaces, which have micron to sub-millimeter order of projections at several intervals of the same order. The most significant drag reduction in the present work was achieved on the surface of the largest structure among those of the constant concavo-convex ratio. The ability to hold the air layer in water depends on both the size and the ratio of concavo-convex structure. The water-repellency of these surfaces in bulk water didn't match that estimated from the contact angle of water droplet on the surface in ambient air.

The purpose of this study is to examine the optimum fermentation period of clay by analyzing the technical properties of daubing motion among several kinds of clay. An expert wall craftsman (right-handed male, 56 years old, 28 years of work experience) and a non-expert (right-handed male, 37 years old, 6 years of work experience) daubed on the wall using 4 kinds of clay with different fermentation period (1-day, 1-, 2-, 3-week). The shape-maintenance property of clay was evaluated by slump test. The motion of daubing was measured using a three-dimensional motion analysis system. The slump value under 1- and 2-week clay condition was higher than 1-day and 3-week. Under 1-day clay condition, speed and acceleration of the right hand (vertical direction) were lower than other conditions. Moreover, daubing motion of the expert was hardly influenced on clay condition compared with the non-expert. These results suggest that the optimum fermentation period of clay is 1 or 2 weeks.

固定軸のまわりに一定角速度で回転する乱流せん断流を,レイノルズ平均法を用いて予測する際に必要な乱流モデルについて検討した.モデル定数が回転に依存しないことを主眼として,レイノルズ応力方程式の高レイノルズ数モデルを導き,回転流路内の二次元乱流境界層における実結果と比較した.その結果,回転場での経験則を全く用いずに,平均場および乱流場に対する回転の効果を正しく予測することができることが示された.

容器内で回転する円板に沿う流れの遷移現象を明らかにするため,回転円板と容器壁とのすきま内における時間平均速度分布および速度変動強さを種々のレイノルズ数について測定した.そして,回転円板付近の流れは容器壁側に比べて著しく安定で乱流に遷移しにくいことや,すきまの広い場合の回転円坂上境界層の遷移過程は局所レイノルズ数のみによって支配されることなどが明らかにされた.

In the previous paper, the pressure Loss coefficient of branching rapidly increased when the flow ratio in a cross pipe was in a certain zone. In this experiment, the author observed the flow condition in a cross pipe by using a hydrogen bubble method. As a result of this experiment, it is made clear that the condition of the pressure loss is closely related to the formative mechanism of a vortex and setting a straightening vane in a grade crossing section of a cross pipe restrains the rapid increase of the pressure loss. This paper reports about these phenomena.

A simple procedure for obtaining a stress intensity factor using FEM proposed by the authors was applied to analyze the problem of a lug with cracks. First, to confirm its usefulness for the present method, a problem for a rectangular plate with an edge crack subjected to three point bending was calculated by the present method. The present results were compared with present photoelastic experimental results or usual results. Next, a dynamic calculation for the same problem and a problem for a lug with cracks were carried out by the present method, and the results were compared with the present experimental results using a strain gaga method. Consequently, as the usefulness of the present method was recognized, the static and the dynamic stress intensity factor of the lug with cracks was investigated by the present method varying a pin hole diameter or a crack length systematically. Furthermore, the relation between the static stress intensity factor and the dynamic one was presented.
