The sensory terminations in clitoris in adult show remarkable develop-ment, compared with those in the embryo of 10th month, but with a exception of the intraepithelial fibres which exist no more even in the common epithelium remained in the radix clitoridis. Such a special corpusclar termination as having a swelling inner bulb in the embryo seems to beloiig to a Pacinian corpuscle, because it show in adult in its periphery the formation of some of lamellae. The corpusclar terminations except the Pacinian corpuscles in the external genitals in adult have long included Krause's end bulbs, Krause's genital bodies and Meissner's tactile bodies. But there is no essential difference between both of the formers. And the existence of the latters is denied too. The morphological difference of these bodies consists in the conditions of the arrangement of the sensory nerve fibres and special nuclei in the inner bulb. These terminal bodies are divided into 3 types. But, as they have morphologically more or less similarities, they should be called collectively the genital nerve bodies. Each termination of the type 1 and 2 has remarkable inner bulb, which is showed as a synchytium consisting of fine granular substance and special nuclei and considered to be of peripheral glia and of endocrine nature. The terminal bodies of the type 1 are characteristic with the glornerular arrangement of the nerve fibres extending widely in the whole territorium of the inner bulb, while the type 2 with the nerve distribution mainly in the center part of the inner bulb. The terminations of the type 3, which have no formation of the inner bulb and could be called the special ramified terminations too, are seen in general in the strong connective tissue, for example in the tunica albuginea of corpora cavernosa clitoridis. The thick medullated fibre loses its myelin just before the terminal formation and divides into many branches, which terminate with the. arrangement as seen in the type 2.

The intake of trans fatty acids (TFAs) in foods changes the ratio of low density lipoprotein (LDL) to high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol in blood, which causes cardiovascular disease. TFAs are formed by trans isomerization of unsaturated fatty acids (UFAs). The most recognized formation mechanisms of TFAs are hydrogenation of liquid oil to form partially hydrogenated oil (PHO,) and biohydrogenation of UFAs to form TFA in ruminants. Heating oil also forms TFAs; however, the mechanism of formation, and the TFA isomers formed have not been well investigated. In this study, the trans isomerization mechanism of unsaturated fatty acid formation by heating was examined using the model compounds oleic acid, trioleate, linoleic acid, and trilinoleate for liquid plant oil. The formation of TFAs was found to be suppressed by the addition of an antioxidant and argon gas. Furthermore, the quantity of formed TFAs correlated with the quantity of formed polymer in trioleate heated with air and oxygen. These results suggest that radical reactions form TFAs from UFAs by heating. Furthermore, trans isomerization by heating oleic acid and linoleic acid did not change the original double bond positions. Therefore, the distribution of TFA isomers formed was very simple. In contrast, the mixtures of TFA isomers formed from PHO and ruminant UFAs are complicated because migration of double bonds occurs during hydrogenation and biohydrogenation. These findings suggest that trans isomerization by heating is executed by a completely different mechanism than in hydrogenation and biohydrogenation.

Memorizing English vocabulary is an obligatory task for English learners, but there are few studies about the relationship between English vocabulary retention and color. This study therefore investigates effects of text colors on the memorization of English vocabulary. It specifically focuses on examining what influence the Stroop Effect may have. The Stroop Effect occurs when the color of a text and the meaning of that text are contradictory.Ninety-nine students at Tokyo Woman’s Christian University were tested twice on their ability to memorize L2 vocabulary items and their definitions. These subjects were divided into five groups according to the color of the texts in two tests. The first three groups were presented with texts in either black, red, or blue. The fourth group was presented with positive-meaning words colored in red and negativemeaning words colored in blue; and the fifth group was presented with texts in the reverse pattern.The results suggest that, regardless of the Stroop Effect, presenting words in different colors negatively influences the participants’ ability to memorize vocabulary, as Groups 4 and 5 scored lowest on both tests. Group 2, who were presented with red texts, also scored low, while Group 1, who were presented with black texts, scored the highest. These findings indicate that unaccentuated black texts are the best format for presenting vocabulary items to learners.

3MTM病原菌検出アッセイ2 STEC遺伝子スクリーニン-stx用キットを,食品からの腸管出血性大腸菌検査におけるVT遺伝子スクリーニングに使用することを目的に,検出感度を調べた.純培養菌での検出感度,食品として牛スライス肉やタンドリーペースト,きゅうりなどを供試して食品培養液を調製し検出感度を調べた.食品培養液中の検出感度は,BPW,mEC培地ともに3から4 Log CFU/mLレベルであった.3MTM病原菌自動検出システムを用いたVT遺伝子検出は,通知法が要求する検出下限値(4 Log CFU/mL)を満たしていた.本手法は食品からの迅速簡便なVT遺伝子スクリーニング法として有用であった.

筆者らは迅速性,選択性,汎用性を勘案し,QuEChERS (EN 15662:2008)の原理で抽出を行い,抽出液を固相カラムで精製せず,希釈のみでLC-MS/MSを用いて測定する枝豆中の残留農薬一斉分析法について妥当性確認を実施した.その結果,202成分の農薬について,妥当性評価ガイドライン(厚生労働省通知)の目標値を満たしたことから,本法は迅速的かつ効果的な分析法として適用可能であることが考えられる.

畜産物中のアルベンダゾール代謝物(代謝物I)の分析法として,試料を塩酸酸性条件下で加熱した後,酢酸エチル–n-ヘキサン(1 : 1)混液で脱脂し,代謝物Iをアセトニトリルで抽出後,塩基性条件下で塩析し,スルホン酸塩修飾ジビニルベンゼン-N-ビニルピロリドン共重合体カートリッジカラムで精製する方法を開発した.測定はLC-MS/MSを用い,イオン化はESI法(ポジティブモード)により行った.また,分析カラムはODSカラム(Inertsil ODS-4),移動相は0.05%(v/v)ギ酸および0.05%(v/v)ギ酸含有アセトニトリルを用いた.4種類の畜産物(牛の筋肉,牛の脂肪,牛の肝臓および牛乳)に対して代謝物Iを残留基準値濃度および定量下限値濃度(0.01 mg/kg)で添加し,開発した分析法により回収試験を行った結果,真度83.6~97.9%,併行精度1.6~6.1%の良好な結果が得られた.

筆者らは迅速性,簡便性,汎用性を勘案し,アセトンを用いて抽出後,n-ヘキサンによる脱脂精製,分析種のアセトニトリルへの分配,塩析効果による精製を同時に行うことが可能となる三層分離抽出の原理を応用し,TBHQ迅速分析法の検討を行った.本法は,固相抽出カラムを用いた精製や溶媒の濃縮,転溶操作をせずに試験溶液を調製可能であった.妥当性確認の結果,多種多様な11種の試料において妥当性評価ガイドライン(厚生労働省通知)の目標値を満たしたことから,迅速的かつ効果的なTBHQ分析法として適用可能であることが考えられる.

The aim of this study is to reveal how a set of training in Japanese syntax can affect on communication ability of a case of PDD. An eight-year old girl (Second grade year in Japanese School), who was diagnosed to have autism and mild mental retardation, was involved in this study. Baseline developmental status was FIQ63 (VIQ75, PIQ57) with WISC-III and receptive vocabulary was equivalent to 6 years and 1 month old with PVT.Receptive and productive syntax ability was equivalent to first half of 3 years old children (Stage 4-2 by S-S language developmental tests) and dissociation between syntax ability and other aspects of language development was observed. A training program was planned to make her use Japanese syntactic particles (Stage 5-2 by S-S) during Aug. 2006 to Nov 2006. T-QAR was evaluated before and after training to evaluate her communication ability. Three months after the commencement of this training program, she could pass Stage 5-2 and total score of T-QAR improved from 177 (Before training: equivalent to 4 year-old score)to 220 (Aftert raining: equivalent to 5 year-old score). Selected approach in limited language domains may be able to improve the child's total communication ability.
