During the Shunie period extending over a fortnight, Hokkesenbo is recited after Hanya on each of the four consecutive days, from the 1st day down to the 4th, in the former part of the whole function, and in the latter part there of the same thing is also recited after Hanya on the four days, from the 8th day down to the 11th; Hokke-senbo is thus recited 8 times all told. To each of these occasions are allotted 3 members nominated out of the following 5, namely, Kitashu-no-ichi, Minamishu-no-ichi, Kitashu-no-ni, Minamishu-no-ni, and Chudo. And, one of these three priests acting as leader, this group goes to confession by virtue of Hokekyo (the Sutra of the Lotus). Daisbugan is recited at Shoya in exactly the same words as at Goya but in a different melody. The melody of Daishuganintroduced here is that of Daishugan recited at Shoya. Both Hokkesenbo and Daishugan are Shomyo (pl.) rather monotonous and plain but are noteworthy in that they have their own forms of expression.

本稿は,琉球八重山諸島の黒島方言に焦点を当てて,この方言のアクセントの仕組みを明らかにする試みを行う。まず本稿では,黒島方言には(一見したところ)原因不明なアクセントの型の交替が見られる,という事実の指摘から始め,このような交替の原因を明らかにするためには,これまで多良間島や池間島などのいくつかの宮古諸島の体系において,そのアクセント位置の算出に機能していることが分かっている「韻律語(音韻語)(PWd)」という韻律範疇を想定することが必要になることを論じる。あわせて本稿では,これまで二型アクセント体系として記述されてきた黒島方言は,実は3種類の型の対立を持つ三型アクセント体系であることも報告する。そして,どのような条件のもとでその3種類の型の区別が明瞭に出現するのかを予測・説明するためにも,やはり上述のPWdという韻律範疇の想定が不可欠であることを論じる。

Homeless people have built shacks and settled down in Shibuya-ku / Miyashita Park. In this paper I tried to investigate the need for community, especially through the participatory research by the homeless people themselves in this park. It shows that the homeless people living in the park have formed neighborhood relation and this relation contributes to sufficiency of their basic human needs, house construction through mutual support, cooperative approach for the life rebuilding. Further, it shows that they have practiced many kinds of housing activities through the homeless peoples' autonomous council, which they established, and that they also express much interest in joint resettlement. Important needs for the homeless are not only shelters, but also improvement in their living environment based on autonomous community while living together. Therefore, as a policy, preparation of systems for enabling them to practice such kind of their autonomous activities is more necessary than institutionalization.

本稿は前稿で明らかにした畿内・西日本に引き続き,中世東日本で標準的に使われた升の成立と変遷及び使用升の容積を明らかにしようとするものである。15世紀に西日本で標準升であった讃岐斗は,さらに東北日本でも標準升として見出され,畿内でもこれとほとんど同じ畿内本斗が標準升であったから,日本列島の過半をカバーする広域的な標準升が存在したと考えられる。一方,15〜16世紀に畿内から山陽道にかけて売升が市場升として普及していたが,東日本では15世紀に南関東,東海,伊勢にかけて市場京升と等量の下方升を使用する市場圏が存在した。この下方升市場圏は16世紀初頭には近江国を,天文年間には京都を組み込み,京都において市場京升を成立させたと考えられる。この京升は,後に公定升となり,全国に普及した。しかし,民間市場取引では,天下統一が進むにつれて讃岐斗またはこれとほぼ等量の畿内本斗が標準升となり,近世初頭には全国をカバーする標準升となった。讃岐斗と畿内本斗は1%程度の違いがあったが,寛文頃に畿内本斗へと統一されていったと考えられる。

Nonalternant hydrocarbons, which involve odd-membered rings, are an intriguing family for investigations of the structure-property relationship of π-conjugated carbocycles. Bicyclic nonalternant hydrocarbons, azulene, pentalene and heptalene, are the most fundamental molecules in a series of nonalternant hydrocarbons. Over the last 15 years, the chemistry of nonalternant hydrocarbons has experienced a remarkable renaissance mainly thanks to advances in synthetic methodologies. Ring-annulated nonalternant π-systems, in which some benzenoid rings are attached into the nonalternant frameworks, are the key players in their resurgence. The ring annulation impacts the electronic structures of nonalternant subunits, which modulates the HOMO-LUMO gap and creates perturbations in their inherent (anti)aromatic nature. The tunable, narrow HOMO-LUMO gap has offered rich studies into the electronic properties of open-shell characters and into their potential applications as functional organic optoelectronic materials. This article describes our recent studies on the synthesis and characterization of π-extended nonalternant hydrocarbons, containing azulene, pentalene and heptalene frameworks.
