キチンとはカニ・エビなどの甲殻類,昆虫などの甲皮,きのこ,細菌細胞壁などに広く分布する天然高分子多糖であり,その脱アセチル化物がキトサンである。それらの化学構造は,木材などの構成成分であるセルロースに似ているが,セルロースの構成単位がグルコースであるのに対し,キチンはグルコースにアセトアミド基がついたN-アセチルグルコサミンが構成単位となっている。キトサンはキチンのアセトアミド基からアセチル基が取れたものである。当社では,冷凍食品,特にエビフライの製造工程で排出されるエビ殻から得られるキチン・キトサンの有効利用研究を行っており,その一つである農業分野への利用として,さまざまな方法でキトサン処理を施した植物の生長促進効果に関する研究を推進している。高等植物はキチン・キトサンをその構成成分として有さないにもかかわらず,それらの分解酵素であるキチナーゼやキトサナーゼを持っている。これらの酵素の植物における機能は,未だ充分には明らかにされていないが,平野らによれば,病虫害に対する植物の自己防護機能に関与しているとされている。また,植物種子をキトサン被覆することにより種子発芽過程においてキチナーゼ活性が誘導されることや,キトサンが植物カルス形成におけるキチナーゼ活性を誘導するとともにカルス形成を促進することが報告されている。さらに,ダイコンの種子被覆により,収量が7〜13%高まったといっ報告もある。すなわち,キトサンにより,外敵に対する植物の自己防護機能が作用し,さらに細胞の活性化機構が働くことによって植物の生長が促進されるというメカニズムが推測されており,キトサンの有するこの機能を応用して,植物生産を人為的に高める新しい手法の開発が期待される。本研究は,種々の方法でキチン・キトサン処理した野菜とくに根菜類の生長状況と植物体中のキチナーゼ活性および無機成分含量を調べることによって,植物に対するキチン・キトサンの生長促進効果とその作用性を明らかにすることを目的として実験を行った。

前報においては,根菜類のモデルとしてハツカダイコンを用い,各種濃度のキトサン溶液による種子被覆および,キチン・キトサンを土壌混和してポット栽培試験を行い,キチン・キトサンによる作物の生長促進効果とその作用性を調べた。その結果,0.01%キトサン溶液の種子被覆によって顕著な根部肥大効果が認められ,またキトサンの種子被覆および土壌混和によって,ハツカダイコンの根部および葉部におけるキチナーゼ活性が賦活された。さらに,根部への窒素およびカリウムの吸収量増加が認められ,キトサンによる作物への作用性が示唆された。しかし,キチンの土壌混和による根部肥大等の効果は見られなかった。そこで本報では,前報で根菜類に対する生長促進効果の認められたキトサンに注目し,種々のキトサン処理を施した各種の作物について圃場における栽培実験を行い,各種作物への栽培適用性を検討した。

Lettuce was grown under pulsed white LED light at variation pulse cycles and DT ratios (illuminated period/cycle), and the relative growth rate per unit luminous energy and photosynthetic rate were examined. Both the growth rate and photosynthetic rate were generally increased (except at a pulse cycle of 10ms and a DT ratio of 50%) compared with continuous illumination. Particularly, both the growth rate and photosynthetic rate were increased by 20% or more at a pulse cycle of 400μs and a DT ratio of 50%. A further slight increase in the growth rate was observed when the DT ratio was 33%. These results may be explained by the presence of a period of 200μs duration in which light is unnecessary (period of electron transport) in the light reaction of photosynthesis. This study supports the feasibility of LED plant factories.

本研究では,カメラ画像から被写体となる人物の特徴を抽出・関連付けすることで,事件の前兆などの不審な行動を検知する機能を有した監視システムの構築を行う.これまでの属性認識に関する研究では,IDタグやテンプレート画像などが用意されていない被写体の特徴を抽出し,その被写体の種類,状態の推定を行っていた.今回は,属性認識で得られる特徴値を利用した不審行動(不審物の置き去り,置き引き)を検知する機能を実装した.本稿では新たに実装した機能の概要と評価実験の結果を述べる.

Absorption of nitrogen oxides into the soils were measured in a gas chamber by an automatic continuous nitrogen oxides analyzer (with Saltzman reagent). The capacity of absorption of nitrogen oxides differs greatly due to the sorts of the soils. The soils gradually released nitric oxide at room temperature, and the concentration of the released nitric oxide is nearly proportional to that of original gas concentration. Nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide were released by heating from the wet soil which absorbed nitric oxide or nitrogen dioxide, while only nitric oxide was released from the dry soil. The temperature at which nitrogen dioxide appears lowered with increasing the water content of the soil. Some soils even reduced nitrogen dioxide to nitric oxide. The rate of absorption and release between the soils and the atmosphere varied by the sorts, temperature and water content of the soils.

山岡中尉の日清戦争従軍日誌の続編である。1894年10月22日から同年12月4日までの記述を含む。山岡中尉の部隊は、10月23日には義州に進み、同地に駐屯し、24日には鴨緑江を渡りはじめ、中州へいたった。25日に渡江し、虎山附近で激戦。清国軍はようやく退却をはじめ、それを追撃した。中隊長が負傷したので、山岡中尉が中隊長を代理した。10月26日に清国軍が撤退したが、抵抗する清国兵には、非文明といえる虐殺を行った。11月18日に岫巖城に入城し、しばらく駐屯する。This is the sequel of Lieutenant Yamaoka's diary in the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-95.This paper contains the diary from 22 October to 4 December. His troop advanced on Yi zhou on the 23d October and was encamped in this city. On the 24th his troop began to wade across the Yalu Jiang , on the 25th got across the river. and engaged with Chinese troops. Afterthen the Chinese troops began to retreat ,the Jppanese troops chased them. Then the chief of his company was wounded, Yamaoka acted for the chief of the company. On the 26th October the Chinese troops retreated, Japanese troops chased and slaughtered them. On the 18th Novenber Japanese troops occupyed to stay in Xiu yan chang.

本日誌は、山岡金蔵陸軍中尉の日清戦争従軍日誌の全文である。山岡中尉は、当時、山県有朋が軍司令官をつとめた第一軍に属する名古屋の第三師団(師団長桂太郎中将)の第六聯隊、第一大隊、第三中隊の第二小隊長として従軍している。明治27(1894)年8月4日に起筆し、明治28(1895)年5月26日に擱筆されているこの日誌は、数年後の明治30年夏になって、かつて戦陣にあって書かれた日記に、連日のように書かれた父君宛ての書簡を挿入し、あらためて清書されたものである。今回は、その中の明治27年10月21日分までを掲載した。はじめて外地に出征したことでもあり、かつ、陸軍士官学校出の若い専門軍人としての自負と誇りに満ちた山岡中尉は、見るもの聞くものすべてに好奇の目を向け、その日誌は豊かで詳細な記述にあふれ、その多方面からの情報収拾と合わせて、まれに見るほど内容豊かな日誌となっている。単なる事実記録にとどまらず、はじめて本格的な戦争を開始した当時の日本の国民感情を知る好個の素材を提供するものといえよう。史料紹介

山岡中尉の日清戦争従軍日誌の続編である。1895年1月18日から同年3月7日までの記述を含む。1月22日、吉林軍襲来、撃退、敵敗走する。2月4日山県中尉戦死。2月16日敵軍襲来するも、野砲で撃退。2月22日敵軍襲来、野砲を発射して応戦(海城第四回防衛戦)。敵は負傷兵を車に載せて退却。

The analysis of evaluation of instruction by students can be the most powerful tool available to instructors for the improvement in their own instruction technique. A questionnaire named minute paper soliciting students' evaluation of instruction was given out to the students of 3 courses at Tokai University during 1989 every time. The minute peper has five questions: what are points of important and doubt of this instraction?, how is evaluation by yourself as student in this class?, how is evaluation of this instruction?, What are good items of this instruction?, What are bad items? In this paper, how to use the minute paper, useful point of the minute paper, relationship between evaluation value of the minute paper and total evaluation value of a semester are introduced. The minute paper had 8 useful points : it is possible to make improvement of instruction every time, to see students' understanding and others. The total evaluation value of a semester was higher than it of the minute paper.
