Learning computer programming requires students to deal with different variations of assignments. Instructors, on the other hand, have difficulty giving students many assignments due to time constraints for marking the work of students. This study presents an online judge system to check the students’ assignments so that they can be provided with more assignments. In this system, a client doesn’t have to build a special environment for students to learn. We implemented a function to detect illicit copies on the system and announced the fact about the function to students. 125 students who had used the system received a questionnaire about the detection function and 80% of them replied positively that the system can prevent illicit copying, with 92% saying that the system is effective in learning computer programming.

This study proposes a system in which learners can find targeted learning contents efficiently and clarifies the improvement of the efficiency by using the system through simulation and learning in practice. In this system, learning support information managed by a database is defined as information to link learners and learning contents. Learning support information consists of keywords of learning contents, location and ordering information for learning contents. By using this system learners can find not only targeted learning contents but also related additional learning contents efficiently. Moreover it is possible to generate new curriculums using keywords and learning support information.

A programming ability has been required in many areas because of the progress of information technology. As a result, a programming education is becoming more important than ever before. However, there is an issue that programming exercises do not work effectively when they are introduced to entry level students. The introduction of programing education should be more attractive so that students can become interested in programming and engage in it independently. In this report, we suggest a method of small-step exercises in order to provide a learning environment in such a way that students work on exercises independently as well as actively. The questionnaire survey shows the method we implemented is very effective.

I am convinced that the important thing in science education is to teach the fundamental facts, concepts, and natural laws through learners’ experiences, experiments and manufacturing. Learning with an intelligent interest is essential to the class of science education. As typical examples, I can pick up the class dealing with the questions such as ; “If you drink 1 kilogram of juice, how do you think your weight will change?” “What is the silver substance which is coating the surface of a silver dragees (little silver balls sold for decorating cookies)? Is that a metal?”

In this paper, we propose a concept of agile system development which was adapted for the direction of technology evolution. We show the practical use example of a 3D printer and an open source open hardware microcomputer in research education, a class, and an open lecture in National College of Technology, and report on the present situation about education of making things. As a result, it shows that the effect of this concept is high for education at research of the brain functional analysis, research of the environment control and measurement of a plant factory, a class and an open lecture for junior high school students.

In the experiments performed in the advanced course of the National Institute of Technology, Numazu College, data science education was conducted remotely by using asynchronous and synchronous interactive methods. The Tellus platform with satellite and terrestrial data was used to analyze data in a cloud environment. We adopted the development of data engineering, data analysis, and value creation skills as basic educational guidelines. From the answers to the questionnaire, we conclude that 1) the asynchronous interactive method made us aware of many benefits, 2) the synchronous interactive methods gave us some issues to be solved, and 3) the three guidelines were successfully achieved.

Tokyo Tech professes that we provide excellent education nurturing the ambition to change the world in students’ minds and acquiring the ability to take a panoramic view and leadership. To the aim, in order to develop global human resources who will lead the world by technology, Tokyo Tech is promoting various initiatives that take into account the position of universities as top-tier institutions of higher education. In this manuscript, the environmental improvement and educational programs for that purpose along with each intention are introduced. On the other hand, the activities of researchers with higher quality in various international joint researches themselves are the best teaching materials. The efforts to promote international joint researches, which will lead to the creation of situations and environments for fostering global human resources, are also introduced.

Since the finite element method software can display stress distribution and deformation, it is considered to be effective for education of the strength of materials. However, the solution of the strength of materials does not consider the effect of the fixed end, so the solution of the finite element method does not agree with the solution of the strength of materials. In this study, we devised a method to match the solution of the strength of materials by devising the boundary conditions of the finite element method. From the class evaluation questionnaire, it can be said that this teaching material is effective in learning the strength of materials.
